Shades that are darker than your eye color, like deeper browns or black, always work well. However, makeup is about options, so don’t be afraid to try a pop of color when lining eyes.

Dip the tip of our Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush (sold separately) into Long-Wear Smudge-Proof Gel Eyeliner, being sure to coat both sides of the brush. Wipe off any excess on a tissue. Working quickly, apply liner in short, even strokes close to the lash line, from the inner to the outer corner of the eye.

To give eyeliner a more diffused, natural look, smudge softly after applying (but before the eyeliner sets).
