nice fur, easy to use

pros:
This brush is just the size I need, not too big not too small, very easy to apply a lipstick, and the best thing is, it comes with a cover therefore the brush will always be clean.

Don't think you need a new lip brush? Think again!
25-JUN-09
pros:
I always thought the process of using a lip brush was just unnecessary - until I decided to try this brush. It is the *perfect* size, and works beautifully! I don't like lip brushes that are retractable - seems they always 'retract' at the wrong time. This has a cap that clicks on to the bottom. Perfect all around!

Great Quality!

pros:
I had bought this brush for my mom a year ago and she loves it so I bought myself one a couple weeks ago and it's great. The bristles are very smooth and smoothly apply my lipstick.

Sleek And Sturdy
25-JUN-09
pros:
This is a simple yet classic looking Retractable Lip Brush! It is compact enough to fit in a small clutch when space is limited but sturdy enough for that perfect lipstick or gloss application. Along with having one in my makeup case I also like to keep one in each of my most used purses so I know I will never be without.

excellent for travel and stay home
25-JUN-09
pros:
I love the ability to use it straight from my makeup table or it tucks away nicely in my makeup bag for the day. It is very well made and the bristles hold up from gloss to lipstick without any problems.

Yes, It Comes W/A Top
23-JUL-09
pros:
It is so hard to find a lip brush that has a top so that the "stuff" from your bag doesn't end up on your brush-yuck! The brush is also of good quality and lasts.

not retractable

pros:
Brush itself is very high quality, but retractable means it goes back into the case, not putting a cover on it.

Worth the Extra Step
29-JUL-09
pros:
I've loved lipstick since I was a teen. I've always loved the way my lips looked after a professional application by a make-up artist. They always, always use a lip brush to apply everything down to the gloss. I finally decided to purchase a brush after trying a new color at Bobbi Brown and it definitely makes the difference in how long wearing your lipstick is and how professionaly smooth the color applies. Definitely worth the extra step.

Love the cap on the brush!!
16-AUG-09
pros:
Perfect application! I use this for most of Bobbi's palettes. Using a lip brush, I find that I use less product, and can distribute the pigment evenly. It's always a matter of time though, so sometimes I skip this step. I usually use this for the glosses, because I just have never loved Bobbi's brushes. The brush is small enough and tight enough that you get the precise placement of product where you want it, verses a lip-stick bullet, or gloss-wand.

Applies lipstick evenly
16-AUG-09
pros:
This is the best lipstick brush I've ever tried. Other brushes cause lipstick to appear uneven and smeared, but this brush applies it evenly and smoothly.

Nice but doesn't actually retract . . .
23-AUG-09
pros:
This is a nice quality lip brush with a protective cap (which I find all brands usually come with). I think the name retractable is a misnomer though because the brush head doesn't retract back into the cap, you simply pull the cap off and stick it on the other end while using. If it were truly retractable that would make it really stand out from the majority of others on the market.

Nice Brush, But Not Retractable
28-AUG-09
pros:
The first thing to point out about this brush is that it is not retractable. It does have a protective cap which is nice, but I would like to see a truly retractable lip brush from Bobbi in the future. As with the concealer brush, sometimes a stray bristle gets outside the cap when you are putting it back on and the brush gets a bit misshapen.Design issues aside the brush is a great tool to use. For me, the lip brush is a nice-to-have. Unless you are a lipstick junkie, you'll probably want to amass your collection of must-have BB brushes first. Then think about getting the extras, like the lip brush. I don't wear a lot of bright lipstick so I find that it's quicker and easier to apply lipstick from the tube and glosses with my finger. I do pull out the lip brush if I'm wearing a dark lip color, and I find that it helps me apply the color precisely. I also use the lip brush for special occasions when I want to get everything just so, or if I have extra time with my daily routine. The lip brush does a nice job, but it's not one of my must have brushes.

Great Travel LIp Brush
04-SEP-09
pros:
The little protective top that comes with this is genius. I travel with this brush all the time, and throw it in my bag without worrying it will stick to anything important. The little top does not fall of in your bag, as it does on other similar styled brushes. It's great fro applying glosses, lipsticks, and tints alike.

Good Lip Brush
31-OCT-09
pros:
This is a good brush for easy application of gloss. It works well for getting the last remains of lipstick in a tube. Like that it's retractable, so you can carry it in your purse without taking up a lot of space. It's a bit on the pricey side, but a good solid tool.

Great Lip Brush
15-DEC-09
pros:
I love the quality of this brush as well as its portability. I have one for my handbag and one in my brush set at home. I love how the cap comes off and keeps it protected when you are not using it. It is small enough to fit in my handbag for touchups.

Professional Quality
11-AUG-10
pros:
This lip brush provides precise, even coverage for your lipstick or gloss and has a great weight and feel to it. It is worth the price and is a must-have for any makeup bag. The cover keeps the brush protected and closes to a compact size when on the go. I have purchased one for myself and one to use on my clients. It is durable and stands up to regular cleanings between clients as well.

Creative Tool
11-SEP-10
pros:
I recently purchased this brush and I love it. It has a neat convenient style, with the ability to put the top on it and stick it in a small makeup bag. This also helps your lipstick last longer (as in you save money). Rather than swiping on a thick line from the tube, you can spread your product smoothly and evenly with the brush.

Wasn't what i expected
18-FEB-11
pros:
Ok so before i order this brush I know that it's retractable, but the thing is why is this brush the only one retractable? other brushes by bobbi brown are just normal brush while the lip brush is a retractable brush. I know its probably for convience so that people can carry it around, but if someone were to carry a lip brush wouldn't it make sense that there are those who might want to carry an eyeshadow or a blush brush with them too.. so i dont understand why is only the lip one retractable. I actually don't like it as much as the other brushes that i bought from bobbi brown. The cap is a little anoyying and i wish that its just one single brush without a cap. I was also expecting the brush to be pointy so i can draw out the edges on my lip but it's not...

Not thrilled :(
02-MAR-11
pros:
I Love Bobbi Brown products. I have been using her line for years. However this lipbrush is not made well. For the cost of the product it should have been made better. This is my one and only complaint: the cap always slips off the brush when I'm not using it. I carry it in my bag but what's the point? Please improve/fix this problem b/c it really is inconvenient :( Thanks!

Just ok
25-MAR-11
pros:
Bristles are too soft and dont pick up the color well. I've only used it once and found it to not be worth it. It is also deceiving because it is not retractible. I do have to say that this has been the ONLY product that I was disapointed with. Love Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Poorly designed
01-JUN-11
pros:
Have to agree with previous reviewer. There is no screwing or snapping feature to the brush/lid unit. So the lid falls off the brush whether you are using it as a lid or an extender to the brush. I have to squeeze the lid into an oblong to make it fit securely every time I use it, otherwise the lid falls right off, dirtying the brush. Poorly done.

Lipbrush
17-JUN-11
pros:
After using the brush 3 times, it fell apart. I did call customer service and they are sending me a new one. The brush fell off of the handle. I am hoping the new one is better and hoping it was just a lemon. It was a $25.00 brush,so I really hope the new one is better.

Not what I was expecting
06-MAY-12
pros:
I didn't actually look at the information page, I just did a quick buy, going by the name. When I think of a retractable brush, I think of one that twists up with a cap, which I prefer in case the cap comes off. So, this is what I had thought. Its decent, but the cap is not as sturdy as I would think. It seems some of the casing quality has gone down. However, if it keeps cost down in this economy, I am definitely willing to live with less plastic quality. There still is the glass jars which I do like.
