This moisturizer is nice and rich, goes on smooth, and has a pleasant texture. However, I wouldn't recommend it for someone with oiler skin, as it is a bit heavy, especially in the summer. This product doesn't smell as nice as the Face Base (it has a more flowery scent), but overall it is a good moisturizer.

No face cream even comes close to this one in my book. I was turned onto it by a freind years ago and have never strayed. The cream has a fresh, clean and light scent. It goes on non-greasy and absorbs nearly immediately. It provides the perfect amount of nourishment for my combo-dry skin and is a great base for the rest of my Bobbi Brown makeup. A little dab of cream goes a long way, which is another benefit. It lasts. If there's one thing you shouldn't go without, it's this cream!!!

First and foremost this product does exactly what it is suppose to do. My skin (53 yrs old) stays perfectly hydrated throughout the day. I never feel dry which I believe helps prevent fine, dry wrinkling. The cherry on top is that it smells like a burst of sunshine would if we could smell sunshine. Smooth and refreshing. I live in Colorado where we have very little humidity. I'm also a flight attendant and spend hours in an aircraft where there is zero humidity. To add to all of that, my skin is very dry to begin with. Until I starting using Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Face Cream my face was always tight, dry and flaking. I only use Bobbi Brown products. Until I started using the Hydrating Face Cream I would fight my dry skin by using the cream cleanser, then moisturizer, face base and tinted moisturizer for my foundation. While this combination did very well with my dry skin, the Hydrating Face Cream has eliminated my dry flaking skin. If I could only have one product for the rest of my life it would be the Hydrating Face Cream. Thanks, Bobbie, for the moisture you've given back to my skin.

One of my best friends called me one evening and urged me to try the Hydrating Face Cream when it first came out; she knew I was already a fan of the Hydrating Eye Cream. I have super oily skin and wondered how this would work on me. Well, you can have skin that produces a lot of oil and yet still have days where the top layer is dry and needs moisture sealed in. I tried it and love the plush way it makes my face feel, yet it’s not greasy. The scent is delicate and feminine. I feel pampered once I apply it. Most nights I use the Vitamin Enriched Face Base but if I start getting dry skin, I run back to the Hydrating Face Cream. This is another Bobbi Brown product that I replenish every time I run out (it takes a while to use it up).

I have really dry skin and this moisturizer is great! It makes my face feel moisturized and soft without the oils. That's really important because I don't want my face oily after a few hours. That happens to me if my face is too dry, it gets oily to compensate for the dryness. Sometimes Bobbi has a promotion for the LARGE jar, and it lasts you a long time because you don't need to apply very much. Keep it in your routine and your face will be happy.

This is a wonderful product with one very basic flaw. It does not double as a sun screen. It smells wonderfully, is perfect under foundation and is not oily. But it does not have sunscreen protection and I find I can not use two products in the morning and not have my foundation falling off in minutes. If a sun screen is added it will return to being the perfect moisturizer.

My skin is extremely sensitive but normal. When I put a product on my face that my skin does not agree with it, it is easily irritated or exudes an extreme amount of oil. It is a constant battle. I was amazed the first time I used this product, it does not irritate, burn, or make my skin greasy. It actually soaked in. I have been using this product for some time now and I would recommend it to any one that has the same frustrations that I have. I use it twice a day and my skin and I are happy and on an even plain with one another.

I like it better than anything labeled "primer" out there, and you only need a pea-sized amount for your face. This also works well for me in firming the neck area.

I gave up using face creams a long time ago and only used serums and make up primer because I cannot stand anything oily or greasy that just sits on my face and makes me feel smothered. Then I received a deluxe sample of this cream and when it was gone, I had to purchase. My skin is normal…sometimes a little oily in the summer…and this works really well. Unless you’re very oily (and in that case you don’t need this product), this cream will probably become one of your new best friends. It is gentle and never irritates my senstive skin like some creams.I use a Very light serum in the morning (used to use a heavier serum before this cream) and then this. It sinks right in and even seems to plump up my skin. I've recently been out in the sun way too much here in Southern California. I put this on my face, and the dryness is gone. It’s very soothing. Also...I've been forgetting to use makeup primer, and my makeup looks great. Who would have thought?This is very much like BB's eye cream...only for the face. If you love that and use that, you may love this too.Great product for a parched puss...Highly recommend:)

Even after Face Base (which I loved pre-prescription), my makeup application would accentuate flakes all over my face. So I decided to try a sample of the Hydrating Face Cream. In the winter my face is so dry. and with the other product I was using I could not put make-up over it until the middle of the day so many days I would just not wear any make-up to work because it would just look flakey. First off I should note my skin is normal to dry but in the places it is dry, it is so dry it is flaky. Overall not a good look for makeup application. I recently discovered this moisturizer when I went to the BB counter to buy their tinted moisturizer. The SA prepped my face with this first and my face was instantly hydrated looking and dewy. I asked for a sample and brought it with me on a trip to CA. I used it every day before applying makeup and noticed that the finish of my makeup was better as there was no more flakiness so the application was smooth. In addition, my face felt soft to the touch. A lot of creams that I have used in the past left my skin feeling tacky and this did not do that. I didn't even have to use primer like I normally do. When I got back from my trip I bought the full size. I really wish they made this with sunscreen as I am very fair but I got over it since my skin is so soft now and I can simply layer a lightweight sunscreen over it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with dry skin that wants hydration without stickiness.

"I am a fan of the Bobbi Brown skin care products and the hydrating face cream is a "thumbs up" product as a great first layer of moisturizer for me for daytime use.I have always had fragile, senstive and dry skin, the latter characteristic increasing as my skin ages (now 50 "mumble mumble" something) and given I live in a high elevation, dry climate. So not only do moisturizers need to be hydrating, they need to NOT have SPF (which makes my skin "go wild" and not in a good way). The Bobbi Brown moisturizing face cream fills the bill for daytime and feels so soothing to apply to my cleansed and toned face as first step.And to add the extra "oomph" my very dry skin needs, at the advice of one of the online makeup artists, I added on another layer of hydration in the from of the moisturizing balm and love it in tandem with this face cream for my special needs. The combo of moisturizers allows the already teriffic BB lumionous foundation I'm using to be even more wonderful in application.Highly recommended by this happy customer."

I have actually been on a mission to find the perfect moisturizer forever! I have combo skin, a little dry, a little oily, no warning when either will hit. Soooo for my wedding I got my makeup done at a Bobbi Brown counter and bought everything she used including this as she applied it before using my makeup and I couldn't believe how moisturizing it was without leaving my skin wet or shiny and then applying makeup right over it. I really realized my true love for this upon running out, I freaked out, went to my backup moisturizer and counted the days until my shipment arrives... I will never use anything else as long as my skin is living!

This cream is wonderful and moisturizes without leaving my face feeling greasy. I used to use Bobbi's other cream but switched to this one about 2 years ago. I love it. I've also given this product as a gift to my sister and she loves it. Being over 55, I find most creams to be too heavy for my skin now...much more than when I was in my 20's. Lightweight, it goes on and soaks into my skin with ease. Another definitely recommend product.

I received 2 samples of this about a week ago and have been using it day and night. It makes your skin feel very soft. I have oily skin but it dries out without a moisturizer. It was weird waking up to a face that wasn't oily but not dry. Only complaint- sometimes I would have to reapply but I think I just didn't apply enough in the first place.I will be purchasing this but if your in doubt ask for a sample first.

LOVE this! Only moisturizer I have used that gives my skin enough hydration without making it shiny or greasy. I didn't realize how dry my skin had become. A rep from another makeup line had told me I should be using something for Normal to Oily skin, so I had purchased a cleanser and moisturizer from them (I have used Bobbi makeup for more than 10 years but have never sprung for the skincare products). After Day 1 I knew it wasn't right but had spent so much money that I decided to use it up. I was at the BB counter the other day buying foundation when the makeup artist pointed out that my skin felt very dry. She recommended this product and I purchased it. It glides right on and absorbs nicely into skin. After 3 days of using it, my sking feels better than it has in years...and I am only 33! Deliciously smooth and soft. I didn't realize how dull and dry my skin had become. My makeup even looks better on now. Other people have noticed too...and it's been less than a week. Only moisturizer I've ever been able to use both day AND night. Highly recommend. Nice scent also.

I currently live in a cold-weather place and this cream is ideal! It gives me 24/7 moisture. Since I've started using it -I have not experienced dry skin. Just what I was looking for! I would certainly recommend this to anyone who lives in a cold climate. It locks in moisture that the air otherwise takes away from the skin on a daily basis.Just a note - if you have oily skin, you might want to test it out before committing to it - I have combination skin and my skin does tend to get a little more oily at the T-zone throughout the day - but it's so minor and the hydrating benefits are well-worth it!

First I received this as a sample and tried... it was amazingly hydrating. I am fair skinned Japanese woman with dry skin during the cold winter in PA. I did not buy this immediately because I still had a lot left from the other skincare line but I could not forget how hydrating the cream was and how it maked my skin look smooth and dewy. So, when I went to my usual Bobbie counter at my local department store to buy something else, I just had to get this, too. It is really incredible... It kept my facial skin hydrated all day...! I love the fact that I can use this as night cream as well since it does not have SPF. I really hope Bobbie won't change this formula forever!

I recently started using Bobbi Brown's makeup and I noticed this made a big difference on how well the makeup went on. When I was at the store the saleswomen put this on my skin before she put on foundation and I loved how dewy my skin looked. When I got home and put on the makeup myself I was not happy with the end result. I tried for a week and went back to the store and purchased this product. This winter has taken a serious tole on my skin. I normally have extremely oily skin, but due to the very dry wind, extreme cold and rain my skin has turned into very dry, cracked, flaky skin. I bought this thinking "I've tried everything else, might as well try this too!"The one thing I absolutely love about this product is the texture of it. It is a very rich, thick cream. Its awesome when you wash your face or exfoliate and than apply this to your skin. It absorbs nicely and feels great. It instantly hydrates my skin and makes my skin feel "moist" and not tight and dry.P.s I probably wont be using this when my skin goes back to normal. I feel that if you have oily skin this could be too thick, rich and heavy for oily skin... just my opinion!

However, given that I live in Michigan, the wind chaffs my face so I decided to give this product a try. It did not disappoint me. I use this moisturizer every night before bed. It helps to maintain my moisture level nicely. I use other BB products if I have extremely dry area, but this moisturizer does really well in terms of regular maintenance. I have combination skin, and haven’t felt that this moisturizer aggravated my oily areas at all. I wouldn’t use it under my make-up though. My skin has become much more resilient and much less red since I began using this and I am very happy with it.

I ordered makeup in late Ocober and requested this product as my complimentary sample. I tried it the next day and was SOLD! My face was unbelieveably soft right away! I also used the sample SPF 15 foundation that I had received as well. I received compliments all day on how "nice and bright" my skin looked. Got my shipment of both today and couldn't resist washing my face and applying the hydrating cream when I got home from work! Unbelievable product!

I got a free sample of this and the gel hydrating cream. I used both, trying to decide which one to purchase, as I was in the market for a new skin cream. Even though my skin is oily, it does pretty well with a cream rather than something specifically made for oily skin. This cream is great. It moisturizes for a long time without feeling heavy or greasy. It's light enough to layer with serum and sunscreen and foundation. It smells great, too. I really like the hydrating gel cream as well, but this was the best fit for my needs.

I received a sample of this with an order and am not too impressed. It doesn't feel greasy, which is a plus, but it has an odd, unpleasant odor which is a very big negative for me. My sister also said it smelled "weird". Maybe a bad sample? Some reviewers have mentioned the nice scent, while others have found it not so nice. It also doesn't seem any different than many other face creams on the market, so I'll pass on this one.

I tried this cream, literally used the entire jar until empty, but it just wasn't right for me. I have combination skin, and this wasn't hydrating enough for my face for the entire day. I felt like I needed to reapply it again, or use a lot of it. I think it's meant for people with balanced skin conditions. I switched to the Vitamin Enriched Face Base which was the perfect daytime cream for my dry skin parts and kept my oiliness under control.

I can't live without this product. I love everything about it+ it's smell. Some of the other face products are a little difficult on my super sentive nose. LOL This one is just right. I use to have really dry skin over my eyes, not anymore. I had really dry elbows, not anymore. I think it is fine to use on your elbows. I haven't noticed a problem. You got to get this product!!!

I have searched and searched for a moisturizer for years that was truly moisturizing, didn't make my skin oily, was the right consistency, and wore well under my makeup. This is IT! My skin type is pretty normal to dry. My makeup goes on so smoothly after applying the Hydrating Face Cream. Feels great on my skin- not too light and not too heavy! A must-have staple for me!

I placed an order for Beach products... I waited until the promo with 2 treats was offered...I really wanted to try BB skincare! About 2 years ago, I developed migraines which seemed to be triggered by any fragrance...and sadly, any skincare is on face and eyes so this was difficult to avoid...I felt defeated because I always enjoyed skincare and valued making the best out of my skin and keeping it looking the best possible. I am not in the position to make any medical claims, but this product is a miracle for me as I can use it...feel amazing and simply move on with my day....I was thrilled to smooth on the Hydrating Face Cream...not only is it absolutely luxurious, but it has such a clean, if I might say, no "scent". Hydrating Face Cream improves my skin texture and moisturizes and sinks in to be effective...not just sit on the surface. In my search for a face cream that is scent free, I discovered an amazing skin care line - in addition to the fabulous cosmetic line! For anyone searching for a face cream that has no obtrusive scent - does not bother the eyes - just results - give this a try! I thank you BB for giving us, your customers, the most straight forward, the most effective products on the market...as opposed to so-so efffectiveness with "fluff" thrown in. Thank you sincerely.

I have searched for years in finding products that will work with my skin type. My skin is extremely sensitive and I finally found Bobbi Brown. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the products, especially the hydrating face cream. Living in the Midwest, we need to continuously protect our skin from the elements and this cream does just that for me. It is refreshing going on and light enough that you feel clean. It also helps hold the make up all day without a shine that I found with other facial creams. By far the best face cream I've ever used! Thank you Bobbi!!

I love this product. It took out all the dryness of my skin, smoothed it out, and makes it look almost dewey. I bought the whole line which I don't use on a daily basis but this particular product I will most likely buy again. I held out for the deluxe holiday size and it lasted me ten months. I may try something else because of the price.I live in Colorado so on very extreme days I may re apply twice, just to avoid needing a thicker lotion that may clog my pores.Because of this product I never worry about my skin or how my skin looks anymore.

I've been using the same skincare products for over 2.5 years now (a huge record for me), but I like to try new things. I just bought the eye cream last week and this moisturizer came with is as a package deal.I absolutely love it!! It makes my foundation glide on, and makes my skin appear very smooth and healthy!! I use the moisture rich foundation which is also fabulous. I think the two combined are what make a dramatic difference.Yay! Healthy looking skin, every women's dream!!!

Love this face cream. I use it day and night. I have noticed a nice change in my skin, it feels softer and looks healthy. I recently had a cold, dabbed a little extra of this product around my nose throughout the day. I experienced NO burn and the chafing around my nose was minimized - Bonus!! A must have!

I have combination skin and by mid morning I have so much shine. I don't like to always apply powder. No time and and don't like the feeling. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face cream moisturizes so well, goes on smooth and seems to magically absorb any shine! I LOVE this! I found it by sheer accident and will continue to use it. I have sensitive skin and I have no issues with this product.

This face cream is very gentle and light on the skin. Many previous creams I've used often felt heavy and oily, especially by end of day. They also tended to clog my pores. This hydrating creme truly hydrates where needed and leaves your skin smooth and flawless. It's perfect in the morning before applying foundation, however, I would let it absorb before applying foundation.

This stuff is good, don't get me wrong. But Vitamin Base is so much better. This stuff doesn't seem like it really helps hydrate my face like face base does. This stuff just seems to disappear in my skin. But it's great to use face base first, then hydrating face cream. Of course, hydrating face cream smells so good too and does feel good on the skin. Just doesn't seem as effective as the other. Still a good item. But I'd say this because of using the items together. Or of course, those days where you need less of a moisturizer.

This day cream is lovely. Goes on light, smells wonderful and feels instantly hydrating. The only thing is as soon as it sinks in, I feel the need to reapply. I think this has more to do with me pushing 40 than the cream being lacking. I think I have to go for the repair range next!
