pros:

I have used this off and on for 10 years or so. The colors are great. I have oily skin and I like the way it works on my skin without being drying. It is nice if you don't wear alot of cakey foundation and want to apply it to just a few areas that are red or something. It is also a great size to carry around for touch ups. Just don't leave it in your car on a hot day!

I love this foundation! It goes on smooth, is easy to apply and doesn't make a mess. It applies medium to sheer, depending on how you apply it. I find using my fingers or a foundation brush makes it a bit more sheer but if I use a makeup sponge it covers a bit more.

If you want a foundation that is easy to use and great then you must try the foundation stick. I have slight acne scars and when I apply this you would never know. It lasts all day and the stick is handy for touch ups. I will never use liquid foundation again.I love this product and highly recommend it.

I like this foundation stick because it blends into my skin so well. I use it over blemishes and finish with the powder and it looks very natural- as if my skin is naturally blemish free! I get lots of compliments on my skin having a glow, and I believe it's in part the Bobbi Brown products I use. I don't use any others!

I have always had issues with foundation before. The Bobbi Brown woman suggested this foundation stick because I have dry skin but I am prone to break outs aroud my chin. It's a great a substitute for the Oil Free Foundation when traveling. It's lightweight and non-messy. The only criticism is that the coverage is a little thick, but that's to be expected for stick foundation. I wouldn't recommend it for daily use, however it's great for touch ups and for traveling!

I've used this foundation for several years. When I'm in a pinch for time, I quickly apply it to the "necessary" areas and gently blend it in....It looks like I am not wearing any makeup at all. And my skin looks flawless! I've had a LOT of compliments on my skin since using this product. If you've used BB's liquid foundation, keep in mind that you may want to order 1 shade lighter with the foundation stick.

Let me admit it...I have a soft spot for this foundation stick. Ever since I got my hands on my first tube of Warm Ivory many years ago, this has been a 'go to' in my makeup collection! This wonderful item got me started with Bobbi and this will forever be the foundation I will use. You can adjust the coverage, use a sponge or fingertips to apply it, and it will always look terrific. The stick lasts forever and on top of all this goodness, it's portable! Who could ask for more? :-)

Bobbi Brown's Foundation stick was the first product I have ever used from her line. I love how you can use a small amount for light coverage or build it up for a more full coverage. Blends great with a foundation brush or just with your fingers. Can also be used as a base for her liquid foundations. Many different shades to match every skin tone. I have a lot of redness in my face and this makes for a more even toned complexion without looking like I am wearing a lot of make-up. I am extremely happy that I found this product!

I have always used liquid foundation but when I tried this stick I "stuck" to it. I love how it glides on, feels soft and moist but not too moist and looks so natural. It's a bit more coverage than a liquid but still looks great, not cakey or dry. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that might want just a bit more coverage than liquid or just a different feel than the liquid.

This stick has great coverage and texture, but it is not good for very oily skin with large pores. I really think marketing it as good for all skin types is inaccurate. This clogged my pores like crazy and turned me into a greasy & streaky mess in less than 2 hours. It settled into my pores and fine lines, and I was so embarrased when I realized that I had been walking around like that. Very oily ladies should steer clear of this one. I do love Bobbi's eye shadows, liners and blushes, though!

Quick and Easy Foundation

I dont' have much time to apply foundation, blend it in then finish my face. This stick allows you to quickly apply it to the main areas then blend it in with a sponge or your fingers really quickly. It provides perfect medium coverage for me but you could probably use more for full coverage. It fits easily in a makeup bag or purse so you can add more coverage later if need be.

I am admittedly not a big foundation person particularly the older I get, however, this is my favorite medium-to-full coverage product. I use this for spot application only where I need it and blend it out with a damp/dry sponge until it is the sheerness I like. I also use it (in a slightly lighter shade) in lieu of concealer, but I do not have extreme undereye darkness - just the normal ‘I have a two year old and never sleep anymore’ variety. The colors are very nice and cover any redness or spots I have without looking like I've caked product on my face.I really love that this is being offered in the palette version & hope that Ms. Brown continues to offer it as well as other main line products in the palette versions (Bronzers and face powders please!). I've written this a lot but this is a nice makeup bag staple. I want versatile, multitasking products and many of my favorites, including this one - are from Bobbi's line.

This is great in the winter or after a plane flight, when skin is parched and needs evening and a thick creamy cover. It works well as undereye concealer too. It is very emollient, so in the T-zone I would recommend using a light powder over it or you'll look very shiny. Not good in the humid southeast summers, you can have it slide right off. It would be better if it had SPF in it, because if you put on moisturizer +SPF first then this then powder it's kind of too much, and in the southeast we have to...on the other hand, it's got great coverage, no breakouts, great slip on the skin, and great colors.

I like foundation sticks, and this is the best one out there. First I’ll tell you what it doesn’t have and what it doesn’t do. It doesn’t have powder or silicones in it, it doesn’t take a lot to cover what I need to cover (very economical), it doesn’t feel heavy and greasy on my skin (hate that), and it doesn’t look like I’m wearing makeup.I usually use this after I do my corrector/concealer. I put it around my nose, on any blemishes, and on any redness, and I’m done. I can use my fingers, a sponge or a foundation brush. If I’m going out and want total coverage, I might take a makeup sponge and sheer it out all over my face.I have very nice skin, but the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick is a "must-have". It makes my skin look absolutely perfect:)

I had a make over at the BB counter and I bought the Luminous liquid in Natural with the stick in Beige as my coverup for my sunspots. I also need to warm up the Natural with medium bronzer. It worked but since I had been a user for at least 12 years of a cream foundation I was having issues with the liquid. My order arrived today with the stick foundation in Natural and I went ahead and also ordered now received, the Honey shade in the stick foundation. My body color is Honey while my face is kept white (no sun) so my color is Natural. The stick foundation is WONDERFUL!!! It is an exact match of my tan skin! Plus the bonus that the Natural would be my sunspot coverup. The Luminous is a nice foundation but when one has not had a lot of practice in applying liquid it is a problem. The cream stick just melts into my dry skin. I love it, thank you for this product.

For reference, I am 5, Honey for all of her different foundations. This worked great for both a natural yet still enhanced look or blemish concealing. I am prone to breakouts and get red areas/scars that I want to cover, but sometimes with liquid foundation it just sort of glides over my skin without really concealing the problem area. This stick was good for addressing those two things.It doesn't feel heavy and you don't have to coat your whole face with the stick. I use it on days where I don't want a heavy made up face or am in a hurry.

Okay, so I went a little crazy after driving one hour in search of the correct concealer from the Bobbi Brown store. My search for Concealer led to Corrector and THEN Concealer, which led to Foundation Stick and then to Face Powder. I originally looked at the Foundation Stick as if it was useless - I don't need this! But, once again, I was proven wrong. It is a wonderful foundation, I love it. Applies even, light and lasts throughout the day. The face powder sets the look. Apply once and I am done, which is perfect because I don't have time for touch-ups. Bobbi's Foundation Stick shades are wonderful and you CAN find the perfect shade. Excellent!

I'm still a bit oily, but my skin is changing with age, and am much drier in the winter. This works well, and the new(ish) Cool Beige shade is perfect...not as yellow based as the others in my range (I know we're supposed to ALL look good in yellow...but I don't...and won't wear it :)I apply this over a tinted SPF product (using another line, but have the TM on order), swiping my nose, under each cheek bone, and a little under my eyes, and blend with a foundation brush. Apply a little more if there's more to cover (there's ALWAYS something to cover!) and set with a little loose powder. Great color match (PLEASE keep this shade!) and finish.

I have tried all the top ranked foundations and this is my favorite. It covers my red-toned skin without being too heavy. I use a sponge applicator to build coverage--you can apply a second layer without it looking "caked-on." It looks very natural in outdoor light. I have two different shades, and unlike liquids, it is easy to mix both together with my sponge during spring and fall when one shade is too light and the other too dark. It doesn't feel greasy and wears well all day. The stick is great for travelling too--no spills or glass bottle to break.

nice, wide range of colors, great texture, buildability and decent wear time (will rub/transfer and will melt off in excessive high heat - but what makeup doesn't?).i love using this when i need my skin to be absolutely flawless - mainly for photo shoots and dance performances/competitions. i am very fair neutral (no yellow OR pink tones) asian skin tone - first got matched with IVORY (1) which was too yellow in natural light (but great under makeup counter lights), but matched with COOL BEIGE (3.25) again, which blended in seamlesslesly (in all lighting).i'm a bit confused about the numbering system (i was under the impression that the numbers went from light to dark but it's not the case - my sister that appears darker than me by several shades wears warm sand (2.5) and i'm a cool beige (3.25)), but this is by far the BEST color match from a foundation i have ever had. impressive, as "asian" foundations make me look ill, and pinker hues make me look, well, pink.i would buy this again and again and this will be a staple. i also use this as a concealer in a pinch - it has great coverage. i set this with pressed powder in pale yellow (1) and it lasts all day except when it is very very humid.may not be good for oilier skins since it is very creamy... but great on my dry combo skin!when i am wearing competition tanner i wear honey (5) or natural tan (4.25), depending on how much tanner i am wearing. it really is very versatile!

Typically I wear this stick in "Golden" but over the year's I've noticed that in the winter (sans tan) I am a bit lighter than "Golden," and although perfectly beautiful and natural looking, by using the slightly darker shade I was compelled to put it all over my face when in actuality I only really need coverage in some places.In this shade, I am able to use the stick strategically (under the eyes, around the nose and on the occasional blemish) like a LARGE Bobbi Brown Face Touch Up Stick at a much better value (but less compact in the make up bag). Coverage is excellent, the quality is wonderful, and the colors are perfect! Every woman should have a couple of these for different times of the year...

I am so happy with this product. Everytime i try a liquid foundation i always end up falling back to this as it is far superior. I cant stress enough how important it is to get your right skin tone shade. This foundation can be applied to only the parts of your face that need it, but that only works if its the exact color of your skin. This can get a little shiny as the day goes on but if you re-powder than that is not a problem. Also, in oder to get the best value and have this product last a long time using a foundation brush is a must. My first stick i had i would just draw it on my face and it lasted around 3 months. Then when i got my second i got the brush as well and my foundation stick lasted twice as long! Just rub the brush over the stick and then apply on your face. This is such a great foundation! I wish she made one w\ SPF though!

I was looking for something different from the Moisture Rich Foundation I have been using since the weather is warming up and my skin is not as dry in the spring and summer months. I love the pigment of this product and how long it lasts! I have mild rosacea, which makes my skin extra sensitive, and this product does wonderful with it. I also have mild acne with combination skin. I usually have some type of reaction to foundations but this foundation didn't burn my eyes at all and it was still pigmented enough to cover my acne scars and redness. Pros: Only makeup line with FAIR warm shades (tried dozens of others always way too pink); portable for touch-ups, great coverage where applied, doesn't fade, doesn't cake or shine on normal skin, doesn't accentuate fine lines, looks natural, feels light on skin even with heavy use. Cons: $42 lasts only two weeks!!! I feel I'm using it sparingly- just enough to cover rosacia, acne scars, and racoon eyes. I'm sold on the color, so now will try with foundation brush to see if lasts longer. May need to use this as a CONCEALER ONLY, and a liquid for full-face foundation.

I love the way this makes my skin look - perfect! The color is amazing,and the best match I have ever seen for any foundation. Usually they make my color too red or ashy (I'm 6.5), but not Bobbi! I can put it on very lightly for a natural look and build coverage when and were I need it. It also won't spill in my purse or suitcase. I've used it on its own and to cover up places that my Natural Finish Long Wear foundation doesn't cover as well. I'm really pleased with it. This is not quite as blendable as I'd expected. I thought I would use this as a regular all-over foundation that was purse-friendly. It's a little bit hard to get it to cover a large area--I feel as though I have to tug it across my skin. But I use an eye concealer brush and just use it around my eyes now, and it covers well. I watched Bobbi's video on "Correct and Conceal", and after moisturizing I let this set on my eyes for a few moments after applying with a brush, then pat it gently to blend. I'd otherwise recommend this only for touch-ups, but not so much for an all-over foundation.The makeup stays put for hours, and it's almost got a yellow undertone, which works really well to brighten darkness around my eyes.

The best method to apply to skin is to swipe it in the general areas of the face and then blend with fingertips. I notice a difference over using my foundation brush. The fingers are warm so it helps "melt" the foundation into skin giving you that flawless "no make-up" look. And sometimes when I just want a littl glow I apply a little bronzer shimmer on top instead of using powder to set my foundation.

I really like this product. I have very sensitive, acne prone skin and this stick leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. It's not chalky and it glides on very smooth unlike other foundation sticks. You do need to work it in quite thoroughly so it does take a bit longer to apply than traditional liquid foundations but the coverage is more full and buildable. I reccommend using a foundation brush and then your fingers. It is very creamy so you may need to use a bit more powder to set it after but it lasts all day and I never need to touch it up! I do find that I need to use oil blotters more often but that doesn't outweigh the benefits of this product and I don't look greasy at all. I would suggest it to people with dry or combination skin and people with acne scars that need full coverage.

I recently developed some issues with dark spots on my forehead and the sides of my face, and the mineral foundation I was using just wasn't doing the trick. I went to a Sephora with a friend to help her pick out some colors and I happened to ask the advice of the artist who was helping her. She sat us down and applied this magical foundation to my face. I swore I'd never use anything but minerals because I don't like the thick feel of cream or liquid foundation. Let me tell you: I felt NONE of that! I have had acne for years, and trying to find a foundation that covers the scars and pimples naturally without making the acne worse has always been a challenge. However, after using this foundation stick, I can say my search is over! This provides full coverage without blocking pores or overdrying. I would suggest lightly brushing your face with a translucent powder after applying this, especially if you have naturally oily skin. My one complaint is that the stick does not last very long, maybe a month or so. $40 a month spent just on foundation is a lot for me, but this foundation stick is worth it!

I've never been a fan of liquid foundation. In fact, I only use Skin Foundation in the winter when I'm in a good enough mood to spend that much time. Now, in the summer, Skin Foundation is still too much for my face. But I found the Foundation Stick, which is perfect! It's great to carry around, and spot-fix uneven-colored parts of your face without going through the whole routine. Set it with some oil-absorbing powder and you're good to go!P.S. This has to be one of my most favorite BB products! And it IS my favorite BB Face product!This formula is so versatile! It is so buildable and offers full coverage when layered; and it is great with a thicker moisturizer when you want a lighter, sheer effect. And in the right color, I have also used it as a concealer! I have dry skin and it does not make my skin feel uncomfortable or tight. I love the packaging, look, and even smell! This is a great product that I can't live without!

I have used this for Bridal makeup for years. Looks great on everyone, except maybe really oily skin. It is so versatile. You can take it from a very sheer look to heavier coverage. Just blend it on a moisterized face to help blend it in. I stripe the face and then blend with a foundation brush or fingers. The warmth of your fingers will help you blend it in and the foundation brush can help buff it in to the most flawless look with perfect radiance for pictures and everday, without ever feeling heavy. Great for on the go too, to touch up with allover, including under eyes.

Best Bobbi Brown face product. Apply over moisturizer as recommended. I don't need a primer for this foundation, it applies evenly and without streaks. I only need a few dots for medium coverage and even skin tone. Blends smoothly. Use fingers, sponge or foundation brush. The only concealer I will ever use again. Even in high humidity and heat, it stays in place and I've even found looks better the longer I wear it! I'd say it has about a full 5 hour span before needing to be touched up, minimally.

This is my first time reviewing any makeup products so please be patient. I have been using BB Foundation Stick consistently for 5-6 years. The Foundation Stick goes on smooth, it covers well and its buildable. You can use as little or as much as you like and there is no mess. Best of all, its compact and travels well. My skin looks fresh and healthy all day. I would like to add that I am ethnic and my skin is very dark and this product is absolutley wonderful. It is very hard to find products for dark skin that are readily available. Thank you Bobbi for making wonderful products for darker skin, we are often forgotten.

Is amazing as an under-eye concealer! I have dark skin so I use shade 7.0 and it is amazing as a concealer, I'll even say its better than my potted MAC studio finish concealer!!! You will need to powder it sufficiently like I do if you have oily skin as it is creamy. Also my dark circles are hereditary and very dark and this wipes them out! It's too full-on for my liking to use as a foundation as I'm fairly young (25) and lazy and have pretty clear skin most days jajaja so I don't wear foundation unless I'm going out. Will definitely repurchase when I run out.

I purchased the foundation stick intending to use it only on certain areas of my face for a little extra coverage. Decided to try it all over and was I glad I did. This is now my new favorite BB foundation, trumping even the fabulous Luminous Moisturizing Foundation. The coverage is amazing, yet my skin is still visible, and glowingly radiant underneath, never greasy. It also doesn't cake in my deeper lines. Whoda thunkit1? FYI, This makeup is wonderful on 60 year old dry, hormonal skin. I dot it on lightly at first and blend it with a sponge, adjusting the coverage as necessary. Love it!!!!! A good substitute for the discontinued compact foundation.

Got this in Sand. I find it really hard to apply, I cant seem to blend it very well. I exfoliate everyday, but it still clings to the smallest patch of dry skin. It doesn't photograph very well either, makes me look like I've got a shiny white face. Probably should have gone for the Warm Sand. I gave it the two stars because it does work quite well as a concealer, but just using it for the that is stupidly expensive and im sure Bobby's corrector and concealer would do a better job.

I have been looking for a higher-coverage foundation that doesn't settle into the enlarged pores on the T-zone and am very happy with this product. It's incredibly blendable and light despite the solid formulation. I use a foundation brush to apply, using the point of the brush to work the foundation in well. I only use it on the more pigmented areas in the middle of my face, and I use Bobbi's tinted moisturizing balm on the rest, where I need a less coverage. It stays on all day, it doesn't loosen and float off half way through the day (and I work out at lunch time with it on), and it looks flawless, which I think is no mean feat with oily enlarged-pore riddled skin. I will definitely be buying this again.

This Foundation Stick is the first thing I ever purchased from BB, and after using it once, I was completely sold. I had been using the Luminous Moisturizing Foundation for several years, and really loving it. In fact, I still think it is the best liquid foundation on the market. But, I was at a Bobbi Brown counter a couple of weeks ago and I was given a sample of the Foundation Stick to take home, and the first time I used it I was totally sold on it. I have combination skin, large pores in the t-zone, redness around my nose, and ice-pick acne scarring. I thought the foundation stick might actually bring attention to the scars, but I was wrong. The Foundation Stick gives truly amazing coverage, while somehow managing to make my skin look like it is naturally flawless. It does not look or feel heavy, which is what I expected from a stick foundation. It makes my skin look the best it's ever looked - and I turn 54 tomorrow! I was using the Bobbi Brown concealer (another excellent product), but have found that the Foundation Stick has eliminated the need for it. I cannot say enough good things about the Foundation Stick! I will be using it as long as Bobbi Brown continues to make it.

I can't believe how much I love this. It provides mediumish coverage on me and is buildable. What shocked me, however was the minimization of the pores on my cheeks. I don't think it's advertised as a pore-minimizing product, but that's what it does for me. I also appreciate how it can double as a concealer for the blemishes that don't quite get taken care of by the initial application.

I have been using this foundation stick for about 10 years now and I still love it! When I first started using it they didn't have the selection of shades they do now. That was the only reason I would occasionally try another product. I have to say that it is the best foundation I've ever used and it's so good that I recommend it to everyone - all ages and almost all skin tones, except the extreme oily. It is easy to use, blends in effortlessly (I use my fingers) and it almost eliminates the need for concealer. I'm 40 years old now and it makes me look radiant....not shiny or dewy, but not matte either. If you think it will be heavy or cakey, you are wrong. This gives you coverage without looking like you have a ton of make-up on. I will occasionally mix mine with a bit of moisturizer in the winter to ensure it goes on smoothly. Go try it!

I've never been a fan of fuller coverage foundations, I always searched for a liquid because I THOUGHT that was always a better option for me. Let me tell you how Bobbi Brown has changed my life! The ease of this foundation stick has blown my world! I can use my fingers for a natural finish during the day, or I can use my foundation brush to get a polished look if I'm going out for dinner! This foundation stick is so TRUE to my skin tone that I can swipe it on one area of my face, blend that in, and you wouldn't even know that it was there! The finished result is smooth and velvety, and my SKIN LOOKS LIKE SKIN!Here's the real kicker: I have oily skin! I thought this foundation would be too heavy/moisturizing on my skin, but it's absolutely perfect! Now that winter is right around the corner, I'll need a little extra and I'm positive that the foundation stick will carry me through the upcoming season.Tip: I use Vitamin Enriched Face Base under all of my makeup! It gives me a moisturized and smooth canvas to work with!

This product was recommended by a friend who is a devoted BB stick foundation user. I am SO glad I tried this product. It literally melts into your skin. It covers so beautifully. I have been using #4 Natural in the powder foundation - a little light for me, so I tried the 4.25 in the stick and it is absolutely undetectable on my skin. For application, I took the advice of the on-line BB consultant: draw the foundation on like a crayon - only where needed, then press or dab into your skin with your fingers. Perfect! Quick! Easy!

One of the things I appreciate about Bobbi Brown products are the natural tints/shades and the product's wearability. Despite the brand's commitment to remain creative and dynamic, so many of the products from years past are completely relevant, the foundation stick is no exception. I use it every day. Usually on the weekend, I will take one day off from a "full face" of makeup, for example if I go skiing or hang around the house. On the day off, I will simply use a brow product and foundation stick set with powder. An instant eye brightener!

I was skeptical about using a stick foundation because I have large pores around my t-zone, and I figured any stick foundation's formula would accentuate these (and any other) flaws. Bobbi's stick foundation is unlike any other that I have tried because it glides on smoothly and blends beautifully; it looks totally natural! I have fair, dry skin. I use this in Porcelain. I put on BB Repair Moisturizing Balm SPF 25 first, then draw quick lines across my forehead, cheeks, chin, and down my nose. I use my fingers to blend and voila -- flawless complexion that truly looks like my skin only much better. A little pot rouge and finishing powder, and I'm good to go for the day. I like the foundation stick. It is a great color match and it stays on very well. I like to use my fingers because it warms the product and helps it to smooth on perfectly.

Ok, so I hate putting makeup on but yet need to just to even out skintone, especially that I am very fair skin. When I was trying out Bobbi Brown products, I personally wanted something smooth, buildable to full coverage, mess free, multiple use, doesn't break me out and long lasting/water & sweatproof. And keep in mind, Hawaii can get very humid at times and I got to say, this product does it all! I love it so much! So going back to get some more. I noticed most products that are really good or highly rated gets discontinued so Bobbi Brown!!! Please never discontinue this product!!!!
