I purchased this blush after having it applied at a BB counter. I am fair (warm sand)with blond hair and this seems to be made for those with darker complexions, BUT it looked fabulous on me!! I do have to apply carefully (with a light hand and a skunk brush, though that means it will last forever). The color is a pinkish-red with that just-come-back-from-skiing look. The shimmer is incredibly flattering: it diffuses light on the cheeks and creates an almost dewy look.

I just rec'd the Bahama color blush...and it's just right! I have rosacea so too red cheeks are an issue. I can tone down the red but then you can look too unfinished - so I looked for a soft coral for summer. Bahama adds a golden glimmer, a bit of even color without screaming BLUSH or red overheated cheeks. A good neutral, just a bit of summer color with a light sheen, perfect!

I am very fair-skinned and chose the pink coral color. Just a slight swipe of my blush brush is enough to to pick up all the color I need to last the whole day! The color is super-flattering and very chic, and the shimmer is quite subtle, not at all overpowering. I have tried every blush formula, texture and color out there and Shimmer Blush is perfect for me. I switch off between Flame and Coral as I have medium olive skin and they both offer a perfect pop of color where I need it. I actually look less tired when I use this blush. I often start out using Tawny Blush and then pop the shimmer blush on the apples of my cheeks. I plan to try out some of the other shades too. This blush is a keeper!

I am one of those girls that just loves anything with the word "shimmer" in it, but found that many shimmer blushes were just not suited for someone in their 30's. Many would've worked during my nightclubbing days, but definitely not now.I've had such great luck with Bobbi's makeup I decided to finally try Shimmer Blush in Bahama Brown, which is a stunning tan shade. And I'm so glad I did!I love anything tan, brown, or neutral, so this blush works so well with any of my lip colors and eyeshadows. Bobbi Brown came out with her Shimmer Blushes over a year ago and they looked stunning, however, it took me a long time before I found a shade that worked for me. At a BB event last year, they used the Pink Sugar Shimmer blush. It just didn’t show up on me. The makeup artist actually had to put matte blush in Rose over it to give me any color. On another trip to a Bobbi Brown counter, I tried the coral. It was too light and too orange on me. Really pretty color on some ladies, I’m sure…just not this lady. Then I read some makeup reviews on the product, and some lighter skinned ladies loved Bahama Brown. They said it looked like a light shimmery bronzer for their skin...a sunkissed look. That sounded perfect, so I went to a Bobbi Brown counter to try it. It looked really pretty in the store, but when I walked outside and saw myself in the daylight, my cheeks looked dirty…Awwww! ( Certain shades of brown do that to my face. At this point, I gave up on Shimmer Blush. I felt that it just wasn’t for me.At the end of last month (July 2009)…I went for a group makeup lesson at a Nordstrom where each of us did our own makeup. When it came to the blush part of the 10-Step routine, The makeup artist suggested that I use the Washed Rose Shimmer Blush on my cheeks. I had never tried this one since I had been told it worked for women with medium skin…like Beige or Natural. I applied it, looked in the mirror, and, it was just right…ahhhh! The perfect color, and what a lovely subtle shimmer! It is unlike any other cheek color I own.Now I'm thinking of trying some of the newer Shimmer Blushes when I get the chance. When it comes to choosing colors…guidelines are helpful, but it’s really all about what works for you.

The colors are very smooth and pigmented, so my suggestion would be to have someone help you select a color, and showing you how they look on your skin. I saw a woman in the store going through and testing the colors on her hand: not wise. She had fair skin and was applying one of the darker berry shades, also not wise. The colors look different on every person (some people with fair skin might to better with the pinks or the browns made for medium skin). It really depends on how your tone responds to the color, so again, this is a color you really want to try in the store and let set so you can see how it looks in day light.

I normally go for Bobbi's matte blush and use a shimmerbrick if I want a pop of sparkle but these are also nice if a touch of grown up shimmer is what you're after. I think most of the shimmer blush shades also have a higher pigment-to-shimmer ratio than the shimmerbricks. I was speaking to an artist about using the matte Sandstone blush as a bronzer alternate to pop in my palette and she also recommended Bahama Bronze as a shimmer bronzer alternate - very pretty.

I NEVER used blush, never, ever until I found Bobbi Brown. I am very serious, the reason. . .I could never find a color that would work well with my golden-brown skin tone. I've purchased the shimmer blush in three colors: Flame, Pink Coral, and Plum Wine. I use these colors frequently and have fallen in love with them. Even at the counter the artist said that would be a great shade for me. It is absolutely gorgeous on my skin. These blushes are gorgeous! The Bahama Brown is really versatile. It's nice for layering over other blushes. I like to layer it with non-shimmery Pink Sand to add depth. It substitutes well for shimmer brick "glow" and, my favorite use, is to brush a bit of this over my Navajo Long Wear Eyeshadow Cream for a shimmery-nude look that's gorgeous and cohesive to my cheek color. A great option for traveling because it multi-tasks so well!

An online BB MUA recommended Pink Sugar for my Porcelain skin, but I had been leaning toward the Washed Rose as I was afraid Pink Shimmer's gold tones wouldn't work well with my cool undertones. However, I took the MUA's advice and am very pleased with the color. It is not as pigmented as other BB powder products I've used, and I can understand other reviewers who said it didn't show up on their skin. However, being very fair-skinned I did not have this problem and was actually able to apply a few layers to build intensity. Sometimes I'll add a pop of Pale Pink regular blush to add more color. The shimmer is not frosty or glittery, just a very subtle glow that is very much daytime appropriate.

A Bobbi Brown make-up artist recommended this blush (washed rose shade) for me at an event...I thought it was a hefty price tag for a small blush...but I decided to try it. I have to say that it is probably the most flattering blush I have ever worn. It doesn't scream 'clown' like other blushes. It makes me look healthy and adds such a subtle touch of shimmer. The first Bobbi Brown blush I have ever purchased I got the pink sugar color and love how it goes with my fair skin tone I also love using Bobbi Browns pale pink blush combined with pink sugar for a pop of color it looks so amazing!

Pink Sugar is a beautiful, delicate shade which is the perfect shade for me. (For reference, I'm darkish blonde with paler highlights, blue eyes, light to medium complexion & use Cool Beige Skin Foundation in winter and Warm Beige in Skin Foundation in summer, and Light-Medium in BB Mineral Foundation). This Shimmer Blush is not glittery or shiny, but has a warm, soft glow which is so natural looking and just plain pretty. I have a drawer full of blushes I've accumulated and have finally found the one I've been looking for! It applies like a dream, looks like I've just gone for a brisk walk, and stays on without fading for hours. Love this blush!

The quality of the blush is superb but I ordered the one with pink in the name and it really is pink. I have fair skin and I thought this would look more natural on my skin than it did. If it says it's pink, it's pink. Like baby doll pink on your face.
