I was a bit unsure of this at first...but then I tried it! Wow! I followed how they used this on the model. I applied my blush in Desert Pink, then gently swept this on the top of my cheekbones. It looks great. Not shiny, not glittery, just a nice, lit glow from within. A healthy look. Then I took the eye blender brush and swept a small amount under each eye and on the brow bone. It looks very subtle and natural. Big score for Bobbi Brown! I can't imagine not having this product now.

The Brightening all over Powder is a wonderful remedy against the winter doldrums. It makes my light skin (I use BB Porcelain for reference) glow in a subtle, understated way without being over the top shimmery. Very finely milled, the powder seems to soften my complexion resulting in a sheer, airbrushed look. I like that the shades in this compact are neutral, not too warm, and not too cool either, just perfect. Silver packaging is also very beautiful. I am quite happy with this purchase.

My local Bobbi Brown counter just started selling this item. I've not worn powder in years because as I get older, I don't want a matte look to my makeup as it seems to settle in my fine lines. This powder is amazing. My skin had a radiance from powder that I've never seen before. The compact is a beautiful silver and comes with a cloth pouch to keep it from getting scratched up. This product isn't like anything I've ever seen before. The effect is very, very subtle...another user said "airbrushed finished" and I think that's very good description. It really did perk up my over-50 face! If you look in a 10x mirror, you can see tiny spots of glitter, but no way would anyone see that even very close to your face!The packaging is very nice too...beautiful compact. It does say on the box that the product is "very fragile" so please keep that in mind. It came also with a soft pouch to provide a bit of extra protection.

Walked by the counter and had to stop and look at the LACK of shimmer/sparkle. I am truly tired of glittery powders and this is really beautiful. There is a slight shimmer, but you can use this everywhere (even under the eye) and it is very subtle with a beautiful glow. I have used it with no skin/eye irritation. It really does give you a nice natural looking glow. The only reason it is missing a star is because of the packaging. It is "mirrored" all over so if you don't use the black pouch, you will have finger smudges every where. Would prefer the black over this. Other than that, great product!

Something that adds a little sheen on top of my blush without looking cakey or drying out my already very dry skin.I was beyond pleased with this product. LOVE it. Lovely powder, but glittery

pros:

I wanted to like this powder as lot. It felt good, and it doesn't add a lot of color. But I could really see the glittery/sparkly bits on my face, and that I didn't like. In my view, it's much more obvious than the glow you get with a Shimmer Brick (which I love). So, if you are ok w/seeing some sparkles (demure, but visible), try it out. For me, it went back.

The presentation is absolutely captivating and the packaging sublime but it delivers nothing in the way of luminosity. It isn't Shimmer brick but it is. Nano sizes of glitter which are not offensive but they are slightly detectable and overall there is no effect. Very disappointed.

I recently bought this product and I love it! I had tried the Shimmer Brick at my local Bobbi Brown counter but it was too glittery for my taste. When something less glittery came out I was excited to try it. It is subtle, but just enough in my opinion. I also recommend buying the face blender brush to apply it with. I did and I love it!!!

I LOVE Bobbi Brown products- I have a lot! But this product did absolutely nothing for me. First thing I didn't like was that there was a lot of powder dust flying around when applying. Then, after applying, I looked in the mirror and didn't see a darn thing. I applied it over blush and it seemed like it almost dulled the blush color.... then I tried it alone without blush and I saw nothing! went outside with a mirror and the only thing I saw was tiny sparkles on my face! So, I tried it on as eyeshadow and I was also unimpressed!( I have a light to medium olive complextion. ) I liked the idea, but this did not work for me!

This product was not worth the price. When you put it on, you see absolutely nothing on your face. It doesn't cover or even out your skin. Also, I believe it caused some skin irritation for me. I also agree with the other reviews, it's very messy when you put your brush to it.

Thanks to Bobbi Brown skincare and makeup products both, my fifty something skin is in great shape. So I still like to "play with makeup" in a way that is age appropriate. I thought this Brightening Finish Powder might do for me as the name suggests - just brighten my look a bit.But turns out it was not for me - glitter was too evident. It may work fine for 30 something and under but it seemed over the top for me.

I bought this based on reviews. I went to two stores looking for it. I use it after my foundation as a setting powder. It doesn't rub off when clothes brush up against it which I like since I am always holding my one year old. I don't see a lot of sparkle on my face and it feels nice when I apply it with my face brush. It gives a nice nice dewey finish. If I felt to greasy in the humidity I applied regular powder during the day. I like the botanicals in the brightening products. This needs to be a permanent product.

I bought this even though i wasn't wowed by trying it on in the store. Learned that you have to be careful not to put it on areas which are already prone to shine, as it emphasizes oiliness. It also does not have a lot of color, so you have to use a blush in addition. I've grown to like it a lot, but feel like it is overpriced.

I love this product. I was told that it was making its way into the permanent line and I hope that it's true. It goes on beautifully and sheer over my foundation. I brushed my face against my daughters clothes and nothing came off. Very impressed. I use a lot but you can't even tell. I do notice some sparkle on clothes but you can't see it on my face. I use the face blender brush for applying.

My Finishing Powder was on backorder for several weeks. I couldn't wait to receive it. When I did, I was very disappointed. After applying it, I didn't see any difference in the way my makeup looked. I wasn't expecting miracles, but, I thought there would be a noticeable difference. I usually am not disappointed with my Bobbi Brown purchases but this was a flop as far as I'm concerned...and an expensive one at that. The product has a nice texture and the compact is beautiful to look at.

This is great for me since I find the Shimmer blocks to be a bit too shimmery. I apply it all over after my foundation and blush. It does add a subtle glow, which I like. I do think it would be better if the shades were a bit more pigmented, to accommodate more skin tones. However, I do hope that BB will keep this in her collection. It is so light in texture & will be great for the summer months. It's a winner!!

pros:

I love this product as a finishing powder. It blends everything together so well and makes my 50something skin look vibrant, but not glittery. It's very subtle. I also use the lightest square under my eyes for a very subtle sheen that keeps the foundation from clumping into lines and giving a little brightness right where I need it. My one caveat is that unlike most of Bobbi's products -- which last and last -- I'm having to replace it after only a few months. The only thing from keeping me from replacing it, however, is that it's not available. That's true of a ton of BB products I want right now. Please oh Please ramp up production!

The Perfect Finishing Powder

I am so thrilled that this product is in stock. I first purchased it in Spring and loved it so much, I wanted another as a backup. Sadly, by that time it was sold out online and in stores (went to at least 10 to find it). As soon as I saw it back, I immediately bought two--the powder is that good! First, it truly does brighten the face without a heavy shine or obnoxious glitter/sparkle. After using it, my face just looks lighter and softer. Moreover, it's wonderful to have a brightening block that can be used year-round, without making one look bronzed in the Winter and Spring. It also does not cling to wrinkles, but in fact minimizes them (really, it does). I like that the product is flexible. I can use it all over ir as a very light blush in a pinch--even on the eyes. (FYI, I have light to medium skin tone with neutral-light yellow color and in my late 30s.) Thank you SO much, Bobbi, for bringing this back! Please, please make it a regular part of your line. It can't live without it!

I got this as a Christmas present and I just love it - even more than I expected to. It has become a multitasking product for me. I can use it all over, or just on my cheeks (makes a very pale blush), or even as eye shadows. It gives an airbrushed look. Not sure if it's supposed to be that versatile but it is for me!! I tried this at the counter after one of the make up artists used it on me and I walked out. I was doing some shopping and I had like 4 total strangers tell me how pretty my skin was!! One girl asked me what I used because my skin was "perfect." That's a high compliment b/c I am 49!! I went back immediately and bought it. It's not glittery at all. I think it actually minimizes pores, and lines. I LOVE it. Use it every day!! It's my go to glow!! What a great product!
