This brush holds eye shadow and distributes it evenly across your eye. The bristles are well constructed at the base of the handle so even after years of use you don't get loose bristles falling in your eyes nor do you need a heavy hand when applying eyeshadow.In fact the brush picks up so much shadow when swiped over the product the shadow lasts forever as does the brush. Here I'd add I've used Bobbie Brown brush cleaner for years as well.The short handle brush is nice to use when you are putting on the final touch of highlight at the top outer portion of the brow line and for more control when using more concentrated colors in the outer corner of your eye. The handle gives you the close contact desired for detail application. Again, however, you can use a light touch.I gave this brush a four star review only because the long handled brushes should be considered for use primarily. Over all Bobbie Brown makes the best brushes in the largest array of shapes on the market.

I love this brush! The brushhead has the perfect shape to put on eyeshadow with, it is incredibly soft on the sensitive eyearea and is very easy to blend with. I use it mostly with my favorite eyeshadow, Bone, and the result is always flawless. I have tried darker eyeshadows also and they blend just as fine.You can't go wrong with it. I have tried other brushes that felt rough and delivered the color unevenly. I have used it for years and I will keep doing so!

I was never a big fan of make-up brushes until I used the one that came with the eye shadow nude pallette. It evenly distributes the eye shadow, instead of some areas being darker than others, as is when I use the sponge applicators. The brushes make a big difference, well worth it.

This is a nice soft, all around eye shadow brush and would be a good place to start for someone just getting into eye brushes. The bristles are soft and well shaped and can be used for general shadow application as well as creasework. I prefer the eye smudge brush though since it's a bit more compact & can do general shadow application as well as more defined creasework and smudging.

Again.....all the good things others have said in regards to Bobbi's brushes are right on. I've never had a brush like this......why is it so special? What makes it so special? I have NO idea but it is as are her bronzer brush, blush brush....yes, I have those as well. I love using Bobbi's brushes....they are fun....I know, hard to believe, but they really are. I don't like to think about the money I have spent on her brushes BUT, they really are special, glad I caved, they'll be around a very long time, I have no doubt so a wise investment on my part.....if I do say so.......and I do.....say so. If you are on the fence, jump off and join me......you honestly won't be sorry and if you are, send it back.....but, you won't.

Some might think that an eyeshadow brush is a pretty standard thing and they all should be the same, but this one stands out of the crowd! its bristles are so soft and hold just the right amount of shadow. Plus, the handle makes it so easy to hold.It is a step up from the average bristled eyeshadow brush, but it's an even bigger step up from those crummy foam brushes most brands used to (and some still do) provide.

This eye shadow brush was among three that were my first Bobby Brown brush purchases nearly fifteen years ago. It has been much used and well loved, that is kept clean and stored right, and has been an indensable part of my makeup "tool kit" all this time and is still like new.This brush works well as a precision tool for applying powdered shadow to your lower eyelid. In a pinch it will work for the cream shadow too. (Although I highly recommend the cream shadow brush for that purpose and the BB cream shadows are incredible...but that's another review.)If you're new to Bobbi Brown brushes, this is a great one to start with to see the quality of the brushes as well as how much easier and more fun they make eye makeup application. But if you're like me, you'll find you like this brush so well you'll want others.Just like having the right kind of good quality knives in a kitchen, so are the right kind of good quality makeup brushes essential. If your experience is like mine, you'll find that these top quality BB brushes will serve you...well, forever it seems...with the right use and care. Absolutely worth the investment.

Bristles nice and soft... great long handles and of course the wood is lovely... but it's an eyeshadow brush... period. I don't find that this is a tool that distinguishes itself in design in any way. BUT -- and this is *not* a small "but" -- it IS a Bobbi Brown brush and for that reason alone I have complete faith in its quality and durability. I cannot say that about any other cosmetic line's tools. I love my eyeshadows and I love my brushes so I'll surely be purchasing multiples. I like to have spares for cosmetics I use frequently both for convenience and to minimize wear-and-tear on each brush... not that that's really ever a problem with BB.Yet it's relatively inexpensive among Bobbi's brushes at $28 so I certainly recommend it... just don't expect to be surprised or amazed.

This is the only eyeshadow brush you will ever need. I am a makeup junkie and in order to apply makeup properly you must have the right tools. I know BB brushes are a tad more expensive than the makeup applicators and brushes you buy at the drugstore... but, you get what you pay for. BB brushes are made to last and are great quality.Sometimes when you use a drugstore brand brush you end up having to pull out strands of the brush that are coming loose, stands wind up on your cheek or fall into your eye!I have been using BB brushes for years. They last forever if you take care of them.

If you can only afford one Bobbi Brown brush, the Eye Shadow Brush is the one you should start with. I have had the same one for over 10 years and it is still the most versatile & consistent brush I have ever owned. It holds as much or as little shadow as you want it to and applies shadow so evenly. So I just have to rave about this brush. The last one I bought about 15 years ago and I am only NOW considering replacing it. The only reason I would need to do that is because somehow I managed to run over it with my bicycle (don't ask) and it is a bit dented and the black metal part slides. The bristles still work just as well as the day I bought it though! Even application pretty much every time!
