I've been buying Bobbi Brown lip liners for years, and even when I think I can get away with a drugstore brand, I always come back to Bobbi because these pencils go on smoothly and blend perfectly with her glosses and lipsticks. For running errands on Saturday, I'll use Pink Mauve with one of Bobbi's lipglosses, tinted moisturizer and mascara for an easy, yet pulled together look.

There is really no other way to describe Bobbi's Lip Liner- it really is the best. It goes on smoothly (but not too smoothly in that it smears like some do) with no tugging or pulling, it goes on evenly without having to repeatedly go over it to get an even line, and the colors are vibrant, unlike the faint lines of other brands. And, it comes with a sharpener! In sum, there is absolutely no better lip liner than Bobbi's, and there is no other lip liner for me.

I bought this lipliner (and lipstick) in both Brown and Brownie Pink. Brow was recommended by the BB associate for my coloring and skin tone. I found the colors to both be horrible on me. My lips have a natural pink/rose color and these were tan on me. While neutral or nude colors may work for most people, some people - myself included - really must stick to cool toned colors for the best look. These colors do not fit that category.

But my favorite lip liner in Brownie Pink. It is such a natural lip color look that goes with any occassion. It gives a little color with a great pairing of many different types of lip sticks. The lip liner is the best makeup tool in the world to give you that final 'finished touch!' After I outline my lips I add a little extra on my lips as insurance that my lipstick will stay on longer. And the liner prevents the lipstick from smudging or creeping into those little lines around your mouth. And I am not sure why, but lips that are lined appear more youthful. No smudge, long lasting, youthful looking. All you need in a lip liner!

This is a good liner--available in full range of colors, soft enough to go on without tearing my lips off, but hey.....wassup with the sharpener required stuff? Redesign it so no sharpener is required. Other lines do it--why not Bobbi? When you sharpen it to a point, the point make a line that is way too definite to be pretty. So I end up dulling it on a tissue, which wastes product. Please consider a redesign so those great colors are always available, whether I have my sharpener handy or not!

I'm not a lip liner person. I think they are difficult to use and are often too revealing - in the sense that once the lipstick is gone the liner is still on the lips and many times is not all that attractive. This liner I like though. I purchased it in conjunction with the creamy lip color because I really liked the color that it infused when paired with the lip color. It's not super long wearing, but I prefer that. I think because of that, it's an easier product to apply than most lip liners.

This is a great product and does all that is promised! It is very creamy so it's easy to apply and does not drag across your lips. Although creamy you do not need to constantly sharpen the pencil, which means it will last for awhile.It's VERY easy to apply as a lip liner. It helps your lipstick color last when applied directly to the lips. And the color I picked "Brownie Pink" is neutral enough to use as a liner with all my lipstick shades.Getting the sharpener is a nice bonus. I love the little stick so you can clean the blade after each use.I definitely shall buy it again and am looking forward to trying different shades.

I contacted a Bobbi Brown make-up artist and she recommended this shade based on my coloring (fair to medium skin, brown hair, hazel eyes), as I described it to her. This shade is perfect! After a makeup consultation for my wedding I noticed that the lipliner was long wearing and did not give that strong look that many lipliners leave. This product is great and teamed with my lipstick offers a very natural look which is also very hydrating. Even better is how long it lasts and how natural and plump my lips look. Some makeup companies produce pencils so dry that they actually scratch when you line your lips. But this pencil is soft and blendable and comes in gorgeous colors. My favorites are Sandwash Pink and Naked. They are must-have shades, pretty enough to be worn all over the lip instead of lipstick. A dab of gloss over it adds shine. The only downside is having to sharpen the pencils.

I wasn't a huge fan of lip liner until I started using this one. It's soft and creamy so it looks and feels natural. I use it all over my lips after I apply lipstick so when the lipstick starts to wear off there is still color underneath. It doesn't dry out your lips either.

These pencils marry perfectly with Bobbi's lip colors. They are fairly creamy and do not drag at all. As for colors, be forewarned - they are equal to or a half shade darker than the corresponding lip color with the same name. Beige is my favorite shade.

I have a lot of lip pencils. Don’t we all? I’ve collected many throughout the years, as they are often included with products and sets. Some makeup companies insist that you need to define you lips with their “neutral” color that’s supposed to work for everyone. Even a pencil I purchased from a really high-end company that matched the lip color was terrible. The pencil was so hard that it hurt. And every makeup artist I’ve ever watched lines the lips before applying color.Bobbi Brown was the first makeup artist I watched to apply lip color first and then liner. This really interested me. I went to my drawer of forgotten lip pencils, swiped on some lipstick, and lined my lips, and even though the products weren’t as good as BB’s…my lips looked very nice:) With the coordinating BB lip color and liner…they look gorgeous. I’ve watched her instruction tape and it’s so easy. I never go over my own lip line, and just fill in where needed My lips look the best they’ve looked since my early twenties (a really long time ago;) I have nicely shaped lips that are of average “plumpness”. I would look strange with Angelina Jolie’s beautiful lips. I’m happy to simply enhance what I have.I own Pink Mauve for lighter lip colors, Brown for medium nude shades, and Slopes for berry and mauve tones like Blue Raspberry and Italian Rose. I also love to line my lips and just use Crystal Lip Gloss as my lips have a lot of color…Nice.I never thought a lip liner would make a positive difference until I tried BB’s. They’re creamy yet firm, and all you need to do is put them in the fridge to make sharpening a lot easier.HTH’s:)

For my taste, this is not the best lip liner I have used. I have always heard Bobbi suggest applying the liner AFTER the lip color, but I have never felt that her liners apply easily after color. I am not sure how to articulate the formulation, but to use as she suggests, it just doesn't seem to add much to the look...(I know the look is supposed to be blended). However, there is a true and substantive color palette to pick from to include women of all shades and I love that about Bobbi.

Keep your lip color on all day! I recommend buying a neutral tone and then something with a bit more oomph (pinky/plum shades) for those "special" days. And as Bobbi says, layer the pencil first before the lip color!I use Pink Mauve with my Blue Raspberry Creamy Lip Color. These shades match my medium-colored lips perfectly and look good with my medium to dark skin tone (I use honey foundation).

The rose color is nice but the pencil is a little dry and is therefore hard to put on. I have one in another (now discontinued) color that has a different consistency and goes on more smoothly. As much as I love Bobbi Brown products and her colors, I have never had good luck with this lip liner. I have tried it several times over the past few years, and even again this month I tried a new color . Love the colors, but it goes on too dry for me. I feel like I just about have to scrape the pencil across my lips to lay on the color and when I am done, my lips are very dry. I dont think it lasts as long as I need it to also. Sorry for the negative review...it is probably the only Bobbi Brown product I am not happy with!

I had purchased a Bobbi Brown lip liner several years ago that was disappointing for many reasons, but I recently decided to give it another try and I'm so glad I did! The formula is much improved - it goes on smoothly and stays put.My only complaint is the limited color choices - my skin has very pink undertones, and almost every color I tried looked orangish on me. I ended up buying Rose and Candy (which I love), but I couldn't find a more natural, neutral color that looked right.

I have used these liners for over a decade. They are the ONLY lip liners I have tried that go on smoothly and blend so well. And the point of the liner doesn't break! So many liners break so easily, and then rebreak when you try to sharpen them. I never have a problem with BB lip liners!

I have been searching for the lip liner that's "just right" for years, and many are too brown, too pink, too dark, etc., etc. I've finally found the perfect color and texture: Naked. Brownie Pink is a bit too dark, and Blondie Pink is a bit too light, Blush is too blue-based, but Naked appears to be somewhere in the middle. I should probably buy another one... Works very well with the Desert Rose lip shine.

I'm very happy with my ballet pink lip liner. I got the one I thought was the closest to my natural lip color, and I think this is it. It's a very neutral, soft, natural pink.I've worn it alone and under lipstick and/or lip gloss. It lasts a long time and holds up very well, even through meals!I'd suggest getting the color closest to your natural lip color if you want a versatile liner that can be worn alone (and just makes you look like you have naturally perfect lips) or with any color.

I have been using BB's Sandwash Tulle lip liner consistently with her Blue Raspberry creamy lip color for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love the combination! This lip liner has a just right crayon texture that isn't difficult to apply and keeps color from feathering (per Bobbi's tip: i always soften and blend in any hard edges with a lip brush or the tip of my finger). I also use the lip liner to completely fill in the lips before lipstick application and to up the shine factor, a touch of BB's brightening lip gloss after. THE RESULT IS A POLISHED LIP LOOK that is easy to accomplish and LOOKS GREAT!

I'm just getting into the lipliner thing! There are a few trademark BB characteristics that make hers great to learn the "skill" of liplining by: Color selection for one thing of course. Selection is good and the colors compliment BB lipcolors perfectly. The pencils are not too creamy to stay put and on the lips do last relatively well... Each liner comes with a separate little sharpener. Nice touch. I think $20 is definitely too much for these though. Half of that would be reasonable; the liner isn't THAT long-lasting and the sharpener isn't even attacHed to the pencil.

On a whim I stopped at a Bobbi Brown counter while shopping with a friend and tried some lip colors. The make-up artist used Sangria lip liner all over and topped it off with Sweet Nectar lip color! Wow! Nice combo for me! Of course, had to get both that day!! This liner goes on so easily and smoothly. No tugging or skipping across the lip. Sangria looks great all alone but love layering other colors on top for something fun and new! For reference, I am a blue eyed, golden blonde and wear Beige Skin Foundation.

Please bring back Heather Beige. It is a unique color that works really well with Uber Beige--to name just one lipstick. No other line has this color. The liners are either too pink, too yellow, too red or two brown in the undertone.

The lip liner I purchased was not the color I thought it would be when I saw it on line. I had contacted Bobbi Brown on live chat and told them what I wanted.. A 'soft' pink. This is very bright and I am not sure I will use it. The quality of the lip liner is very nice and smooth.

I've never been into lip liners-I hadn't had much luck with them, and they always seemed to dry my lips out, until I recently bought my first Bobbi lip liner, that is. The formula is rich and glides on, plus it lasts for a very long time. I put it in after lipstick to prevent feathering, and what a difference that has made with my lipstick. I suppose I got used to the feathering, but now when I use this lip liner, the look is much more polished and refined. I have even used the liner to color in my whole lips and then apply Bobbi's clear gloss, and never have my lips dried out when I do this. I am so thrilled with this lip liner that I am now going to get several more colors to coordinate with other lips stick colors.
