I think this is the most versatile of the larger eye brushes Bobbi makes. Just as the description states it is a full rounded shape with soft densely packed bristles that’s great for applying shadow as an all-over base, to the lower lid only, in the crease (not for defined creasework though) as well as to blend everything.I love the big Eye Shader brush because it's unusual and fun to use but it’s not as versatile so if I could only own a few eye brushes they would be this Eye Sweep (larger), the Eye Smudge (small/mid sized detail) and the Eye Definer (liner & brow) as I think they are the most multipurpose.

This brush is soft, but is densely packed so that it picks up just the right amount of shadow for the lower lid. It works perfectly to pick up the sparkle shadow if you want to layer seamlessly over a base shadow. It is also great for blending a touch of color into the crease. This is a wonderful multi-purpose brush to add to my collection.

Got my first Eye Sweep brush last year when it was part of a brush set and I have been waiting for this brush to be relaunched as part of BB's line of brushes so I can get a second one for my travel makeup kit. Love this tool for an overall wash of light color on my lids, it picks up the perfect amount of product and it truly is a pleasure to use as its bristles are soft and fluffy. BB's brushes are worth the price, take good care of them and they will last you many years.

My dad once told me that there is a right tool for the right job. I would have to say this is one of my favorite must haves because it is the perfect tool to shade the lid. I use this to shade from lashline to crease. Perfect contoured bristles make it easy to do it in one sweep. Since the bristles are dense, I get an even application. If I could only have two eye brushes - this and Bobbi's smudger would be my top picks.

At a Bobbi Brown counter during recent travels I thought this brush looked too big, so I opted for the angled eye brush. I like the angled brush just fine, but kept reading the great reviews on this site about the eye sweep. So I ordered it. Soft, fluffy, and one or two sweeps (actually, one sweep suffices, but it's just plain fun to brush it across my lids!) and my base color is done. This brush just feels soft and lovely on the eye. So don't be afraid that it looks a little bigger. It's a fabulous brush!

This is a seriously cool brush. It's like no other eye shadow brush I've ever seen and works like an eye-sized version of a powder brush (which it sort of is I suppose). Very full head. The bristles are soft and sort of long compared to a standard eye shadow brush. Color goes on quickly with such a large brush head and this one holds just enough product too; doesn't fluff powder all over everything (including your face) when you pick it up or when you apply it. The Eye Sweep brush is so unique! I just love this Crazy thing! You could use it to pick up color from a single bar of one of the Shimmer Bricks to use either as eye shadow or to spot-highlight as well as apply eye shadow.Coolest brush in my collection.

This brush is without doubt the best shadow brush I have ever used. My other shadow brushes are jealous because they rarely get used anymore. The wide head on this brush perfect for sweeping all over the entire eyelid with a base color and then picking up a different shade to sweep on the lid only. I love this brush and would recommend it to everyone who wants to streamline their shadow application.

This brush works pretty well for applying base color to the whole lid. I can also use it to tone down the contour color, which I sometimes apply too much of by accident. I just swipe this brush thru a lighter sheer color and brush it lightly over the whole lid--tones everything down. Overall, a much better purchase than the smudge brush.

I've collected several Bobbi Brown brushes of all kinds over the past fifteen years, including several eye shadow, shading and liner brushes. They are all top quality good tools but this one may be the best of them all.A top notch multi tasker, the dense rounded head works not only for grabbing just the right amount of shadow to smoothly apply to lid and crease, but it also works really well for applying highligher shadow under the brow. Much better than my (now retired) well used, eye shader brush.Plus, in a pinch it fills in for the eye blender brush too to smooth out shadows.If push came to shove and I had to choose only one of my BB eye brushes, this would be the keeper.

I pondered over purchasing this brush and finally went for it. I am happy I did. The bristles are full and fluffy and perfectly puts shadow on my lids up to the crease. It is a time saver. It has an even distribution which I struggled a bit with certain colors with the smaller eye shadow brush. It cleans easily and fits comfortably in my hand. I like it a lot.

Since I practically own all of Bobbi's brushes with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 and use them all. I find myself loving this eye brush more than I thought I would. I used this brushes predecessor the "Eye Shader brush" and while I liked it a lot, looking back it was cumbersome and I seemed to waste more product than I intended/wanted. This brush however is very versatile and very well made. The bristles are dense and soft and pick up the right amount of product without making any mess. In fact I liked it so much that I bought 2. I use this daily to apply my base color, granted I don't have to, the regular eye shadow brush can do that, but this makes it much easier. A couple quick swipes and you're done. I love how sturdy Bobbi's brushes are and the quality is remarkable.

I recall when my Mom got me my first set of Bobbi Brown brushes, I was so happy with the large, flat-edged eye shader brush. I could use one edge of the brush to pick up a small amount of shadow and apply, then use the other side to get the exact finished look I wanted. It literally took seconds to accomplish. I recently lost one of my sets while traveling; bought the brush set now offered, and this brush was not included. Bought this new design and was so disappointed. It's an ordinary, round-shaped brush, and I have to spend more time, as it picks up more shadow than I need and it's hard to get the desired look. The quality of this brush is good, but I personally feel that the brush went from an extraordinary design to an ordinary design. The flat edged brush could also be used to apply shadow to the crease of my eyelids eliminating the need for multiple brushes, and saving time, as well.

I love all of my Bobbi brushes. I started with the brush set, and the next one I added was the eye sweep. Like all of Bobbi's brushes, this one picks up the perfect amount of product from the pan and distributes it evenly across the eye lid. I also use this brush to pick up one color from a shimmer brick to use as a shadow. This brush is perfection-fluffy and precise, and I could not do without it!

The only thing I do not like about the brush is its lack of roundness. It seems a little flat for me. Like a fluffier foundation brush. Regardless, it does pick up the right amount of color for my eye lids. I use it for my base color and when I'm done coloring my eye lids I'll use it as a brow bone highlighter. I have four of Bobbi's Brushes (will get more) and I haven't been disappointed yet.
