Nectar is perfect for spring to warm up the complexion and impart a soft glow without being over the top shiny. The effect is stunningly beautiful, this shade was missing in the range of Shimmerbricks so I am thrilled that Bobbi created this. Even on my very pale skin - I wear BB Porcelain - this is a great pick me up, especially after the winter! But I see myself wearing this anytime I want a soft, glowing look.

I have oily skin, or "nature's glow," so anything with shimmer is usually not a good idea for full face application. But this was so pretty that I had to try it. I also have visible pores here and there so if anyone else shares my skin issues, don't be afraid to try this product. It is more of an illumination rather than a shimmer. It just gives an all over radiance to your skin. Love this product! I also have the blush in Nectar and it works beautifully together.

I have only tried a few Shimmerbricks and each time I've decided I didn't like them and gave them away. Nectar I am keeping for myself! It is the perfect blend to give you that peachy-pink glow, not too much though (for reference I am very fair skin). It is buildable and the shimmer isn't overwhelming. I haven't tried the color stripes individually, but I have the feeling they would make a great eye. The only thing I would say could be an improvement would be to order them from lightest to darkest in order to avoid contamination of the lighter strips when mixing. Other than that, this is a fantastic purchase.

I love shimmer, but I find that some of the shimmerbricks almost make me look too shimmery for my liking. This one, however, is a perfect melding of color and shimmer. It applies as a lovely corally pink glow when applied on my cheeks. I adore that it doesn't make me look like a disco ball, and that the colors also look great as eyeshadow. Please, Bobbi, make this permanent!

The BB PQ shimmerbrick didnt quite work for out me, so I went out on a limb to try a corals; my skepticism was not founded. These colors are so refreshing and perky, not glittery. Perfect w/BB Tinted Moisturizer and for upcoming warmer weather. I love it w/BB's Coral Glaze Metallic lipstick, the look is understated, not overdone. So pretty w/ a matte eye for daytime (cream Malted is a fave) and long lashes. What a beautiful way to greet Spring 2010!

Absolutely beautiful and a must have for ALL complexions. I have a deep complexion and use walnut foundation. This shimmer brick warms my deep skin tone beautifully leaving a fabulous natural tone with the perfect amount of shimmer. I can wear this alone for just a natural glow, on top of my blush for that extra look of glamour and polish or wear it on my eyes, which is beautiful. This is the best shimmer brick BB has ever put out. The colors are so beautiful. I hope this will remain in the product line as a staple, because everyone should have the nectar shimmer brick in their makeup bag. It’s the best makeup find of 2010. Absolutely LOVE IT.

I have to stick to my 'platinum pink' shimmer brick for all-over highlighting, but this shimmer brick works nicely over a peach or coral-toned blush. It's far too dark for all-over highlighting on fair skin like mine, though, so I won't get as much use out of this as I get out of my platinum pink shimmer brick. I imagine that for dark skin this would be beautiful for all-over brightening/highlighting.

I finally broke down and bought this gorgeous shimmer brick. It is the perfect blend of golds, pinks and corals. Goes great as a highlight on the cheekbones, over the illuminating bronzers or the matte ones. It really suits my tan skin. The individual colors are also beautiful on the lower eye lid or as a highlight under the brow. The best shimmer brick in my opinion, since the bronze one.

I was really interested in this product, but was on the fence because of how pale I am. I am porcelain for ref. I decided to ask Bobbi online for advice on the Cabana collection. I think coral is a very flattering color and love the shimmerbricks, but I was recommended NOT to get this shimmer brick. I decided to go with my instincts and try it anyway. I am SO glad I did not pass this up. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Obv I use a lighter hand depending if I am just highlighting with it or using it as blush.. but I also like the colors a lot for eyeshadow. I also own Pink Quartz and Beige and really enjoy using those as eyeshadows too. If you never thought to use them as such, try it! You may really like the results.

The nectar was my 1st shimmer brick purchase and it is awesome! I layer it over the pot rouge in cabo coral to give it that extra pop of color. I though it might be a little too bright at first, I should have known better, though- it looks very natural, but better. It gives me a nice, healthy, glow- and looks especially good paired with a bronzer. I also use it as an eyeshadow- it looks great and lasts a long time. Seperate strips can be used for various things- eyeshadow, highlighter, mixed with gloss for a lip color, blush- there are a ton of possibilities.

This product appears very natural on the skin. I definitely prefer the bronze color more than the nectar on my light/fair skin tone but this one is still very nice. I love the packaging (very fancy). It is expensive but definitely worth the price, the last shimmer bricks bronzer that I owned lasted over three years and i finally had to just throw it away just because I thought it was gross to keep it for so long lol. Anyway, I love this product. By the way the samples that are given are just small square packages not actual miniature bottles/containers..which was sad but other than that I was happy with my order :)

Excellent and versatile product. It is summertime in a compact. The colors are beautiful and should be worn on cheeks and eyes, mixed or individually. I wear it with my bronzer or the illuminating bronzing powder. I use a smaller brush to pack on the color my friend is fair and she uses the larger brush, it looks good on both of us. Awesome stuff.

I jumped at the mini version of this shimmer brick during holiday 2009, and picked up the full-sized version when it came out this spring. I have loved and used for years Bobbi's nectar blush, which is a warm medium pink with coral undertones. I was surprised to discover that the nectar shimmer brick is far more coral in tone than the blush is. The peachy (and almost orange one case) shades pull this shimmer brick away from pinks altogether to make it a true coral. It is HIGHLY pigmented, so it can be worn as a blush for those with fair skins like mine.

Skin:- Fair to medium- Asian like skin (half Chinese and half Filipino)- I have used this product from summer to rainy season, but the SHIMMER BRICK nectar doesn't bother on what type of skin I'm having during these seasons.I have been scouting between rose and nectar. Luckily I was, my friend already has the rose and she let me take it home overnight so I can surely decide if it will be great on me.Rose was too silvery for me and I looked sort of washed out to like a trying hard shimmer look and that turned down rose.I have a friend with me and we finally checked out BOBBI BROWN and asked if I could try on the nectar. I cannot really appreciate the application because Mall lights are really deceiving.A couple of days before my birthday that friend gave me BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK in nectar and after trying it I never had two thoughts about not using it.It seems that all the colors really blend well to every color of the bricks and it makes such perfect combination at all.Upon application I can really see how my skin turns dewy and glowy. The peach-pink and gold sort of becomes a part of you cheeks; so it doesn't look like chalky or cakey.It looks so natural. I often go with SHIMMER BRICK Nectar or if I want just another color I can just put a light touch of blush and over it the nectar, and either way my cheeks look glowing and dewy and healthy. Yes! That healthy glow.Plus it doesn't come off easily. It last like 6 hours? Well that depends on how much you put on. Well, will see when I start going on duty.And for the first time, my sister who always says, "it's ok", finally said "it's beautiful"!I'm so loving this shimmer brick! A must have and a staple!By the way, my skin doesn't look oily with this as a blush. So this is why it's really a must have!

I recently purchased the "Nectar" because I am loving the coral summer look. This is a gorgeous addition to my makeup collection. You can grab colors from different parts of the brick to customize your look, albeit is not easy to grab specific colors. If you use it in totality, it is a lovely apricot/nectar topping to a coral cream blush. Grab the bottom colors and it gets more peachy-pink.They are clear that this is not meant as a standalone blush due to its sheerness, but as a highlighter. It does that job marvelously and I find that I am grabbing it all the time for a little glow.Now to figure out which shimmer brick I want next!

I'm on a coral craze this summer, and this Shimmer Brick seemed a likely target for my newfound shade obsession... But there's not much color to it on me, which may be because I'm just so yellow-undercast all the time, with a confused complexion that can't decide: Cool? Warm?Regardless, it does its lovely ShimmerBrick highlighting thing beautifully, and looks gorgeous sitting opened with the rest of its Shimmer Brick family. I will wear it with the same attitude I have wearing sexy lingerie; maybe nobody else will be able to tell, but *I* know it's there, in all its peachy deliciousness, and that makes me feel good.

I absolutely love this shimmer brick! The corals look fabulous on my skin [my foundation is Golden (6)]. Rose seemed to wash me out (it ended up looking silvery), but Nectar is perfect (it seems to add warmth). Sometimes I wear blush underneath it, or sometimes I just wear it by itself. It's not too shimmery that you can't wear it during the day, but it's also shimmery enough to wear during the night. Love it!

pros:

I already have bronze and rose shimmer bricks in my BB collection and this one didn't disappointment either. Even by itself it made my Golden 6 skintone pop. Once I added nectar blush on top it really brought my look together which was a neutral eye. Very happy with this new addition to the family.

Perfect shimmer finish

This is my favorite shimmer brick so far. I sweep this over my eye makeup and cheeks for a subtle shimmer. For dramatic fiery eye makeup, I use the reds of this brick as eye shadow by layering it generously over red pencil eye-liner, blending well. It's quite versatile and stays put.

This shimmer brick gives a good balance between color and bronzer. I have all the shimmer bricks that BB makes, and this one I can use it without blush and still give me some color.

pros:

I really like the shimmer bricks.Any colors would add the subtle sheen to anybody's face. I have Bronze, Pink Quartz and this Nectar now. For my Asian skin (not too fair and not too dark), I use Bronze for my tanned skin; Pink Quartz and Nectar for non-tanned skin other than summer. I felt Pink Quartz could be a bit too light on me, but I can adjust with brushes. I wish Nectar has a bit more pearl effect like Pink Quartz since the color Nectar should go more nicely for my skin tone.But overall, I am happy with it and use them everyday.

Not enough pigment

I have two other shimmer bricks and I LOVE them. Not this one. It simply does not have enough pigment. No matter how many layers I apply, it does not show up on me. Money wasted. Since I got it online, I did not return it. :-( :-( :-(If you ask me, try Rose or any other color. I have two more and use them all the time. I wanted a peach color so I thought that this would be it. WRONG. Sadly.

Dewy glow

If you've been struggling to get that "dewy glow" all the models seem to have, you just found the right product I LOVE this stuff! I got the shimmer brick in nectar, and I just dust the *teeniest* little bit on my cheekbones, forehead, and nose. I look FABULOUS all day. It is also lasting me FOREVER. Well worth it.
