This is an incredibly versatile product that comes in a range of colors--from pinks through bronzes-- and can be used on the cheeks or on the eyelids. And a new version can be brushed on the body, such as arms and decollete.My favorite Shimmer Brick is Beige. I daily use is as an eye make-up, sweeping the lighter spectrum of the powder under the brows and across the lids and using the darker range of color bands just on the lid and in the crease.And make sure to work some of the lightest color into the inner corner of the eye as a highlighter.Shimmer Brick is particularly useful for those who travel and want to reduce the size of their makeup bag.

I love the Beige Shimmer Brick. I stayed away from the Shimmer Bricks for so long because I assumed they were glittery. Not so. A beautiful glow that works even in the daytime. They give more of a pearly sheen. The beige option is nice for myself as I'm pale, and this does not add more than a champagne color...no white though, which is not a look I go for. You can also use each color individually for a sheer eyeshadow if desired. Personally, I use the Face Blender Brush to apply to my cheekbones and temple.

This shimmery powder diffuses light beautifully, creating a very attractive result. It is nearly impossible to overdo it, as opposed to some highlighters that make you look like a disco ball. I use this on my cheekbones, browbones, inner eye corners and, for formal occasions, the collar bone.

I bought this product based on comments I read online claiming that it gives you a candlelit glow. While it does add substantial shimmer, I found that the color is non-existent. If I had known, I would have waited a week, and gotten the nude shimmer brick instead. I think that would have given me the look I wanted to acheive.

I own almost every Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, but this one is by far my favorite! I have quite a finger dent in the upper left corner because I love to use the top two colors as a shimmery summer eyeshadow - and everyone always asks me what I'm wearing! For a gorgeous all-over bronze, I use Bobbi Brown's amazing new Bronzer Brush to apply the product over my cheeks. I LOVE this product!! I love trying new/different cosmetics, but the Beige Shimmer Brick is one of just a handful of products that is a constant in my makeup kit. I've tried similar products from different brands, but have always been disappointed with the color or finish. This one is absolutely perfect - subtle color and shimmer that's not overwhelming. A little bit of this product goes a long way - it really wakes up your skin on those early mornings.I've also found that a light dusting is a quick fix if you've gone a little heavy-handed with blush/eyeshadow or if you've experimented with a shade that's come out a little brighter than you'd hoped and you don't have time to start over.

This is honestly my favorite shimmer brick after trying out the entire collection. Unlike the bronze one, which needs to be applied in a very light-handed manner, this beige version has all the subtlety that serves to add just "that extra something" to individuals with a fair complexion. At the time, I think this was the most neutral of Bobbi's shimmer bricks that she had released.This works well because of the types of blushes I use which are tend to be neutral like "tawny", with a little pop of color on the cheeks. This does not interfere. I just swipe a little over the cheeks to give me a glow.Sadly to say, just a tad to much shimmer to use on my mature eyelids.

"I bought the first 3 shimmerbricks - I was loving the bronze and quickly snapped this one up when it came out.This is beautiful for a truly nude, no color, shimmering highlight, however, I never really ended up grabbing for it. When I want a no color glow, I prefer luminosity but no shimmer like this has - where it's tastefully lovely but present. Not the products fault - I knew it had shimmer (duh, it's in the name right?) but purchased it when I was still new to highlighting and didn't know what I liked.If you want a shimmering, nude highlight this is pretty and can also be used as eyeshadow, body glow, or even dusted over your hair to add sparkle.

i LOVE this shimmer brick! i own three - beige, nude and pink. they are all incredibly versitile, but i think that this is the most versitile of all . it can be used as eye shadow, liner, highliter, over blush and/or bronzer, in place of blush...even as a shimmery lip sheen! i feel that this is more sheer than nude -- it hardly deposits any color, if any, which is exactly what i was hoping for. it adds just the right amount of shimmer, and people compliment my glowing complexion instead of my makeup :)

This Beige Shimmer Brick is so different from the other ones I have tried. The description says a "candlelight glow" and that is very accurate. The color is softer and more versatile as a result - especially for fair and medium skin tones. I like the fact that it can work with pink, neutral and peach blush shades and it makes a nice finish to your makeup when you are between the pallor of winter and a tan in the summer.

This is such a beautiful product. In the description it says it creates a "candlelight glow," and I strongly agree. When you swatch all five of the colors at once, it makes a really pretty golden, bronzy beige color. I use it above my cheekbones, on the bridge of my nose, on my cupids bow, and on my chin. As far as using each shade as an eyeshadow... I normally don't do that. I find that they're too shimmery to use all at once. So if I ever use them as an eyeshadow, I'll pick one color and pair it with matte shades or less shimmery shades. I really love the packaging as well. It's very simple, yet sleek. And I love that it has a big enough built in mirror. :-)

I read some good reviews about the shimmer bricks a while back, but didn't purchase because some bloggers said it makes the pores look HUGE. But I ordered it anyway because I wanted a shimmery shadow and the shimmer bricks provided just the right amount of shimmer that I wanted. I got it in the mail today, and applied the product on my lids. I LOVED it. Against my "warm beige" skin, it didn't show much color but the shimmer was just beautiful. Then I decided to try using the shimmerbrick as a highlighter. Using a very light hand(IMPORTANT) I sweeped it on my cheekbones and forehead. I heard compliments all day about how good my skin looked. Now that's a compliment I rarely get. I think those bloggers probably put too much on. I stand by this shummer brick! I will repurchase again and again.

Insanely Versatile

I actually bought this product two years ago, and believe it or not, it has lasted me this long, and the consistency is still as fresh as when I first bought it! This was my first Bobbi Brown purchase and I don't regret it one bit. This brick can be used in so many different ways. It makes a nice shadow, but my favorite way to wear it is to accentuate other shadows or as a highlighter. I use the second lightest shade as an all-over shadow, then layer on a darker beige-brown color for a natural look and the shimmer is so subtle. Then I dab the lightest color in the inner corners of my eyes, and under the arch of my brows, then with a big brush, over my cheekbones. Total perfecion, and it isn't overpowering at all.

I usually wear the Pink (sadly discont'd) or the new Pink Quartz during the fall/winter. But this year I just added the Beige and I love it! It gives a great candlelight glow over ANY blush color- neutral, pink, or bronze. Anyone would love a basic, beautiful shimmery glow! The beige shimmer did give me a nice glow but it lacked the loveliness somehow of the Bronze and Pink Quartz. It's probably a wonderful color for much lighter complexions -- ivory and in that range. For my light to medium with cool undertones and dark hair and eyes the beige didn't really stand out. Still adds that trademark gorgeous glimmer to the skin though; and I certainly agree with the claims of its casting the light effects of candlelight.

I bought the beige Shimmer Brick to use as quickie eye shadow for our hot summer days. I'm trying Bobbi's "Almost Bare" look for times when I just need to run to the grocery store or run a couple of quick errands. This product makes a great fast eye shadow and I'll use it for an extra glow in the winter on my cheeks. I love products that do more than one thing.

pros:

This is really beautiful and does give a candlelight glow. I wanted something to make my skin look healthy but not add any real color like a bronzer would. This beige shimmer brick is perfect. I have fair skin and it doesn't take much to get the desired look. This compact will last forever.

pros:

The shimmer bricks are the only BB products I don't care for. The colors are lovely, but no matter how light handed I try to be, the "shimmer" emphasizes every tiny imperfection. Unfortunately, it's just not for me. I'd love to see blushes with the same colors, but without the shimmer.

Lovely hint of a glow, fits in my Unii palette

The beige shimmer brick is my introduction to shimmer bricks, and I was hesitant to try it because I was afraid of being too shiny or looking like a teenager. I am delighted to report that the beige is a lovely hint of a glow for my cheekbones or eyes, without being "overdone." I've been using it for several weeks and it seems to stay on all day. It is so very subtle - like the candle-lit glow reported in the description. It gives light a reflection without adding color or competing with my blush. I also had no difficulty depotting for my Unii pallette.

Delivers candlelight glow

I am in LOVE. I loved the Nectar shimmerbrick, looked up the colours on the website, read "candlelight glow" and bought this before my honeymoon. It looked great on my untanned skin (yellow/olive undertones, but very light in winter) on top of just any blush or bronzer. On tanned skin this looked heavenly. Candlelight glow is what it trully gives - I love the colour and the product. I am surprised this colour is not yet top rated. I believe it could go with just any skintone, it is quite neutral. But it gives the finest "caught in warm light" sheen. Works really lovely with bronzers on the cheeks, too.

I love this shimmer brick. I'm very fair skinned, I like a little bit of color/shimmer/glow and this does a great job. Its not too shimmery or bronzer-y. Plus, they last forever if you dont drop them.

Perfect glow

pros:

I love the beige shimmer brick. This is the second one I have bought. It gives your skin a nice glow and the colors work great as eye shadows. This shade does not give as much color as the Bronze shimmer brick. So you look very natural. I like the bronze one more in the summer. I love that BB shimmer brick gives a glow not a sparkle look.
