This is the best day cream that I used in such a long time, for few years now. I am 45 year old mom, with two kids. I love it for summer and winter. Light non-greasy for summer, and perfect for winter too. I live in New England and our winters are very cold, has a very drying effect on my face. I tried so many different creams, then I tried this cream, I love it and I''m sure you'll love it too. I usually mix a little bit of sun block with it and apply it. It has a very light citruc smell too. You don't need alot of it and it lasts for few months.

I was in search of day cream that I could apply under physical sunscreens (or makeup), and this is the best by far. I like to use physical sunscreens that contain titanium dioxide or zinc oxide rather than chemical sunscreens, because physical ones feel more comfortable on my skin. But I found most of creams would react with physical sunscreens and cause tiny white balls to build up.But this cream does not react at all! The sunscreen spreads smoothly and flawlessly.It also doesn't cause any breakout even though i am very acne prone.Love the texture and the mild scent too! I can't find anything I hate about this product.

The vitamin enriched face base is a great day and night time moisturizer. It's rich without being too heavy, and alows the skin to breathe. This cream soaks into the skin quickly and leaves it petal soft. It has no synthetic fragrance added, although it does contain some essential oils which give it a soft citrus scent. I've been on a search, for thousands of years (it seems), for the “Holy Grail” night moisturizer for me. Lately I'd been using a well-known and super expensive cream and can't say it lives up to the hype. For sure, it did help prevent flaking I was having on my forehead but it was pore-clogging; it just seemed like cold cream to me. I have skin (I'm 55) that's oilier than any teenager's; I don't want to strip the oil, I just want to keep my skin clean, moisturized, and soothed. Because I've turned into such a Bobbi Brown fan and because of reviews by friends, I decided to try the Vitamin Enriched Face Base. I use it at night. It really makes me look (*dare* I say this?) younger when I wake up. I think it's because my face doesn't look so greasy and swollen. When I apply it, it feels (not feel to the touch but my face feels) wet or moist but it seems to absorb right into my skin. Although it's a butter, that's the word to describe the consistency; it's oil-free. The scent is botanical and dissipates shortly. This is just what the doctor ordered! And yes, it's my Holy Grail for a night cream.

Out of all the facial moisturizers I've ever chosen, this one is by far my fave! It has a slight citrusy scent that is completely intoxicating. I'm a huge Bobbi Brown fan and was excited to give this moisturizer a try as soon as it came out. I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. After regular daily use of this moisturizer, my skin tone isn't very even, I'm more prone to breakouts and I haven't seen any change in the 'fine lines' on my face. I'm not sure if my skin's response to this is due to how sensitive my skin is or maybe it's just too hot and humid in NY right now for it to be working properly...but I'm definitely not in love.

I've bought it twice, but sadly after applying it at night and feeling in heaven, I would wake up after a couple days of continued use and my face would feel dry & slightly rough. If it wasn't for that I would still use it. Then again maybe I'm just the odd one out?---------------------------As a whole this is a great moisturizer, and I would recommend it. A little goes a long ways, an amount about the size of a nickle should be enough for your whole face. Its full of antioxidants and has an amazing scent. I almost want to eat it with blueberries! Lol.

I've been using it ever since.I love it because I don't have to use it every day (my skin tends to be oily at certain times of the month). I only tend to apply it occasionally under my foundation for a dewy makeup look or at times when my skin is dry or sunburned, I apply and wear it to bed at night.I love the fresh smell-it's not overly perfumed like so many others and you can use it very sparingly- a little goes a long long way-lasts for months. it's completely greaseless and doesn't ever leave that greased up feeling on my skin. I actually have made it a practice to use this in combination with the Bobbi Brown Overnight Cream. Just like my search for the perfect Night Cream, I have spent years, literally, trying to find a good day cream. This product has worked the best, nothing has come close. My combination skin is very sensitive. This absorbs immediately, hydrates and soothes my face (no stinging), it is not greasy, it appears to soften my face, and allows for any makeup to go on smoother and easier. The MA suggested this product when I repurchased my oil-free foundation compact. I was a little leary at first because one of the ingredients includes shea butter but was pleasantly surprised. The consistency is not heavy and only a little is needed. The foundation applies better as well. I tried this years ago when my skin was oilier and it was too much. However, now my skin is close to normal with occasional dryness on my cheeks so I need more moisture than I used to. This is almost custard like in texture but is not at all greasy. It absorbs quickly and has a satin-like dry down on me. I like the grapefruit/geranium fragrance, however, it is potent and may not be the best for those sensitive to fragrance.I do wish this were available in a pump top container (like the Protective SPF 15 lotion) since it has a nice complement of antioxidants which jar packaging won't keep as stable.

This is really a step up from your standard drugstore moisturizer. The texture is amazing. It's so rich and creamy, but it doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all. I feel like my skin just drinks this up! The fragrance is heavenly, a clean uplifting citrus.I use this moisturizer as my night cream. I can't say I wake up and look 10 years younger or anything, but the face base feels wonderful and restorative. I typically use a non-BB moisturizer with SPF in the AM, but if I have a dry area on my face I'll layer this face base on top. It provides a heavy dose of hydration, but still feels light. One of my favorite ways to use this product is as a base for make-up, which I'll do for evenings or special occasions. It makes your face feel smooth and silky. I used it on my wedding day and loved the results.I've since tried other, less expensive moisturizers and they do the job, but this product is such a treat. It's one of life's little luxuries.

Has a rich feel, but it can feel greasy, if you use too much. It took me a few times to figure out how much to use, so that it did not make my face feel greasy. But once I found the right amount, I absolutely love the product. I have combination skin, and it worked well on my T-zone as well as the other parts of the face. It softened and hydrated my skin very well. It has a very light, and refreshing scent, which I enjoyed. I do not like products, that make my face smell unpleasant . It only takes a small amount to fully cover your face, which makes the product last a long time, and makes it worth the price. I also appreciated that there were only a few ingredients, and it was not filled with chemicals.

First, and foremost I recommend this product. Why should you spend the money on this...it is a bit pricey if you compare it to the makeup primer's out there, BUT... This is not just a primer. It really made a difference in my skin. My skin is VERY sensitive. It used to be perfect and then I got a bit older and was told I had a mild case of rosacea. Now I am not saying this cures it, but I am saying my skin is calm and happy since I have used this cream. It also is a great base too. I would recommend it without hesitation and with creams, that is not always easy to do. If you are on the fence, please ask for a sample and see if it works for you. It has made a difference for me!

My skin's always been oily, but lately seems more combination. So, I've been using my oil free light moisturizer all over my face and layering a heavier product in the dryer areas. Too many steps. I really like this! I have combo skin and it takes care of the dryness without being greasy. I use Renova which causes alot of flaking and this takes care of the dryness and flaking so my makeup goes on smoothly. Pretty awesome. I got this as a sample and I treasured it until I ran out and had to this. It smells like oranges, and when my husband kisses me he loves how I smell. It moisturizes like crazy and doesn't cause pimples. However, as a makeup base in the humid southeast or in the summer this does not work, my foundation slides off and there's no SPF in this. I use this as a nightcream or days where I'm very dry and need extra moisture, like in winter. Soft and light texture. Nice face cream. Makeup base? I don't think it binds the foundation to it.

I am acne prone, have been on Accutane, and love the Hydrating Cream, but the Vitamin Enriched Face Base was not good for my skin. I don't think it should be rated "E" for everyone. It's definetly not for acne-prone skin. I've been using it on my neck and chest since I can't use it on my face.

I already had a primer that I liked, so I figured that I didn't need to bother with this- boy, was I wrong! Once I finally broke it out, I was floored at how good it worked & how amazing it smelled. It doesn't go on grreasy or oily at all and the citrusy scent is so uplifting and pleasant. I use it all over my face and it makes my skin smooth, radiant, and pretty. My make up really does go on better and stay on longer. My skin looks flawless and I am using less make up with this base on. I am really excited about this product and will definately be purchasing it again in the future. I usually hate to wear heavy formulas during the day in the summer- but this isn't heavy at all- it sinks right into your skin and works it's magic. This product is not what I was originally expecting at all. It appears thick and creamy and with me having oily skin there was no way I was about to apply this to my face! I am a huge fan of BB makeup and when ordering my blush and lipgloss I received a sample of the VEFB. After some time in the sun and dry air I decided to try my little sample out, WOW! This product is fantastic. Not oily, not heavy, it hydrates and softens and even minimized lines and wrinkles. I am now on my third jar and if there is a complaint it is only that the jar is not the most user friendly, you really have to find something to get into the jar with to remove the product with. I am using a foundation brush which is working well. Great product BB! Another winner xoxox

I do love this product as a primer to make your foundation glide on and blend flawlessly into your skin however it miss an importent part of a good primer. Personally I like the first step in my makeup rountine to include an SPF, so I feel like my skin is already protected before I go on to my foundation. As usual the packaging is really nice and sophisticated, and most importently easily dispensible, so that you don't have to waste any product. It hydrates without the greasy formula of an adverage =face lotion. I feel founation easily blends into your skin when using this primer two. Also the smell of the product is amazing! I have oily skin and I'm very sensitive when it comes to moisturizers. This one moisturizes my skin and it never made me break out once! In the summer, it can feel kind of greasy..it makes my face look REALLY shiny. But it keeps it in the best condition to apply foundation over it, so it doesn't bother me much. I believe it would be much better for the colder seasons when my skin would be drier and needs extra moisture. Also the product has a really nice lemon scent!

It was smooth, lightweight, and paired well under my makeup. My have combination skin (dry in the t-zone and oily everywhere else), but this product worked well all over. I first tried this when I received it as a sample. I have a moisturizer that I love, and it is cheap, so I wasn't looking to change. But this is different. It's almost like a moisturizing base. I am a flight attendant and always looking for products that can prevent me from looking like some of those old "stewardesses" that have been flying since air travel began. This one has definitely become a staple in my makeup routine!I use the Face Base in the morning, after my usual moisturizer and before my foundation primer. I only use a tiny amount for my entire face, let it settle for a few minutes, then follow with primer and foundation. Amazing! I have coworkers constantly asking me why my face looks so good!I have tried this alone without my usual primer, and although my skin still looked great, my makeup seemed to slide off and disappear about halfway through my day. Not a good look! But with primer it makes my skin look healthy and glowy, and feel soft and smooth. This is not my favorite BB moisturizer. In fact, it broke me out...in 3 places. I wanted to love it and I appear to be way by myself in the minority on this one. I can wear it under my foundation, on one side of my face, and my nighttime moisturizer, on the other, and I cannot tell a bit of a difference. Disappointing since I purchased this based on the 'primer' aspect'. This might work better for girls with skin not as sensitive or dry as mine? Back it goes...

I have combination skin, but my oily spots are really oily, and my dry spots are super dry. I've tried both the oil control lotion but the vitamin face base wins hands down. It has a wonderful smell, smooth texture, and it absorbs fully into my skin. You only need a little! A little goes a long way, so I don't mind the price tag. I use the front of my nail to get a dime-sized amount of product and then I smear most of it on my cheeks (the dry areas) and then the rest on my T-zone, and then rub it all in. I was surprised this worked better for me than the oil free lotion, which catered to much to my oily areas, and even then didn't do a good enough job controlling the oil, and then my face was left feeling dry. This product addresses my dry areas and then I just need a tiny but for the rest.

I resisted this product for a long time because I was afraid to use any kind of moisturizer on my skin before my makeup. I tend to have very oily skin in some areas and make up doesn’t always stick because of the oil. So the thought of adding more was a big “No” in my mind. I received this as a sample and was surprised at how it improved my skin without making it oilier. It definitely created the perfect base for my mineral foundation. It moisturizes well and let’s face it; we all need some help getting more vitamins to our skin. A little goes a long way and it doesn’t alter the color of your makeup. I use it under makeup as well as by itself at night.

I wish could love this product like so many others, but my skin just doesn't like this Face Base. I used my sample for several days, but after the third day, I started noticing a few little blackheads and some whiteheads, and the number increased over the rest of the week. I stopped using the product, and my skin went back to normal. However, I do recommend this product, because the finish is beautiful and it keeps you hydrated. Smells great too! But for me, I will stick to Bobbie's protective face lotion spf 15. Three years straight with no breakouts!

I have finally found something good for my skin that doesn't make me super greasy! I have naturally oily skin which I hate.. I started to use this because it sounded good on paper and smells fabulous. I have tried just about everything, but I have stopped here. I was a little scared because it is so rich and usually this type of consistency leads to a heavy greasy feel, but it just melts in and is actually pretty light. This has somehow brought a balance to my skin and the shine is lessening. My makeup looks great and most of all I no longer feel like I am neglecting my skin. I am 31 and don't want to have skin that looks like its older than I really am. This product is heaven in a jar. A little goes a long way so if you are looking at the price tag and thinking about passing on the product - trust me it's worth every penny!

This stuff is a fantastic primer for foundation; leaves the skin soft and smooth, making it perfectly prepared to blend in foundation. Smells AWESOME and is not overly thick and definitely not oily. The only downside is the lack of SPF, which I think should be in any moisturizer or base, but I'd just use a facial sunscreen right on top of it. Definitely a must for someone who wears liquid foundation everyday.

Dump Your Primer & Use This

Its official!!! Can I dump my primer and switch this beauty in a jar. I had a BB MUA apply to this during a make-over and it gave my skin a great canvas in which to work with. My skin is generally pretty clear but I do rely on primers to help my make-up hang around for 8 hours in this hot humid Florida weather. But its such a pain to have to apply my antioxidant serum, followed by my sunscreen. Then wait a few minutes before applying a primer. Now I can kick aside the antioxidant serum and the primer since this face base has both included. My skin looked very nice the entire day and I couldn't help but stare at myself from time-to-time because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

I received this as a sample. I am smell sensitive and by the previous descriptions wasn't sure if I would like it. I can't describe it, but it does smell light, fresh- really pleasing! It works as a great under makeup moisturizer that is light and doesn't affect makeup application. However, I did not find that it functions as a "primer" like the products that are actually primers. But boy I am hooked now, such a fast and drastic change in my skin. People started noticing before I did.It gives you an instant natural glow, skin has become more clear, very even. Its light, and smells amazing. I do not use foundation or concealer regularly. This cream was just to have an extra protective coating on my skin, most people use it for their makeup base. But when I do use make up it gives the same effect. This is a wonderful gift that I will now be bankrupt over lolIts a must buy and worth every penny. I got this as a sample with my Bobbi Brown purchase about a month ago and was really WOW-ED by it. I have used other brands of primers and bases before and really liked them but this one blows all my prior purchases away! I purchased the full size before my sample ran out and I will NEVER be without it. Truly a multi-tasking product for me. I use it as a makeup base over moisturizer when my combination skin is particularly dry, if I'm oily I skip the added moisturizer and use this solo. It smells über good, light and lemony. Not at all pore blocking or break out causing like I've found with other primers if used on a daily basis. I've also used it as a topper after makeup application, if I feel I'm dry or at all over powdery. Gives a dewy, moisturized, never oily, glow to your skin. I suggest you grab a sample of this at your local BB counter or choose it as one of your free samples w/purchase online. I predict you will be as equally in love with this as I am :)

A new staple!!! This is by far the silkiest, smoothest, non-greasiest treat to greet my skin in.....well, forever. My skin tends to oil up like a factory when I moisturize before putting on makeup, and I had the shudders when the BB associate layered this on during my makeover. What a lovely surprise! The scent is soft and intoxicating--you know that aromatherapy smell you just can't stop inhaling? That's what this smells like. The texture is silky but doesn't have that "silicone primer" feel to it. There's no shine or greasiness to it, and it provides the perfect platform for makeup. Additionally, I have the dubious luck of having combination to oily skin, sensitive skin, AND (slightly) aging skin. That said, there's no irritation at all from the formula or from the scent of this lovely product. Even better, it provides just enough moisture for my confused skin, which is even more confused having just moved from humid New England to hot and dry Texas....Best thing--I don't oil up during the day, and my makeup behaves and stays put. This is on my vanity for keeps--it's a great supporting cast member that doesn't try to upstage the star.

pros:

very moisturizing. I do not need a separate moisturizer with this primer. make up glides on perfectly, flaws minimized. I do mix spf with my foundation because this does not include any spf. have not noticed any anti-wrinkle benefits yet, but this does feel luxurious on the skin.

This product is like a gift from the make-up gods! Not only does it make my make-up last longer than any primer I've tried, but it also makes my skin (or the make-up?) appear so much more flawless! The smell is a slightly astringent, lemon scent, but that fades within a minute or so. Also I have dry skin and this product makes it feel luxurious-- it has made the skin itself more hydrated. I have bought this years ago and somehow just kept repurchasing Extra and Hydrating products. I did receive a deluxe sample recently and have been falling in love. I apply my moisturizer and then a coat of vitamin cream and my makeup applies perfectly. I also feel my skin looks better. I went and bought a jar today so I won't run out. A new favorite.

Received the face base as a sample and it sat in my make-up drawer for a very long time; on a whim, I pulled it out and tried it as I've struggled with my oily combo skin with hormonal break outs forever and thought some how I should be able to achieve natural looking skin and voila...I used the base cream, then the BB cream with 35 spf just to even out mostly my t-zone and then the yellow correcting powder and natural skin that lasts all day is achieved. I only blot with blotting paper once mid to late afternoon now and I actually look pretty darn natural despite my terrible skin. I love this product and cannot believe it took me so long to try it!

pros:

When I first tried this I thought "oh no, I just paid $55.00..and it's awful". Turns out it is NOT awful. Its thicker and greasier than you would expect for a base product. But once it dries and sets in it is wonderful! I am a bartender and my makeup stays fresh and put allllll shift long. Plus I've noticed that my skin looks better/healthier. Its worth it! The jar is large and you don't need a whole lot. :)

I had not tried this before I bought, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It makes my skin feel so wonderful that I look forward to taking my makeup off at night so I can put on this moisturizer. The online chat with an artist convinced me to buy this instead of the regular moisturizer because I normal skin but get t-zone shine during the day. Feeling Smooth

I was a little worried about using this since I have Oily Combo skin, I didn't want this to make me more oily than I already get through out the day. But I must say after using this now for about 5-6 months straight, I really like it. It smells great!, glides on smoothly, and most importantly it doesn't break me out. I still get a little oily through out the day, but it isn't any different then before. I use every day in morning before applying my makeup, and I haven't ran out yet, getting close but not empty. So to me I feel that I am getting my $$ worth. Its worth trying.
