I love the new pencil! I have been waiting for a brow pencil from Bobbi Brown....Finally :)I ordered Blonde and Ash. I'm keeping Blonde. Ash had to much red color. I loved the way the pencil went on. Looks more like a powder on my brow rather then a harsh pencil line. I may order another color just to make sure this is the right color for me. Great product! I'm 100% sure this pencil will live up to the 5 stars.

I love this brow pencil. It is in powder form which I think looks more natural. I got this in Mahogany. It is portable and so convenient. You can lightly feather it on or go a little more bold. A definite must in your makeup wardrobe.

Perfect Brow Pencil

I'm obsessive about my brows... because I hardly have any, and the hairs I do have are very light. So creating a natural looking brow is critical for me. Especially if you're blonde, it's difficult to find the perfect texture (soft, powdery) AND the perfect color (soft blonde with no red). Well, I found it with Bobbi's Wheat pencil. Perfection! And, it stays on all day. I also use the Wheat shadow to go over the pencil to make it look even softer, but still defined. Matches the pencil perfectly. Set with the brow gel, and your brows are perfect all day!

I gave this three stars only because I expected that a color named grey would be grey, not taupe. Cosmetic companies seem to think taupe works for all gray and for those of us with truly gray brows and gray hair, taupe does not do the trick. I am back to using Bobbi's gray shadow/ gray eyeliner pencil.I would love love love a soft black or charcoal brow gel.

The texture is a bit "chalky". I feel that it smudges too easily because of this texture. I have an old Creamy Eye Pencil that I still use as a eyebrow pencil and I like it, but have to be careful to not apply too much because of the "crayon-like" texture. I was eager to try the new Brow Pencil and am somewhat disappointed. Would love to see something in between the two if that is possible.

I eagerly awaited an eyebrow pencil from Bobbi but I'm very disappointed with this product. The pencil is too soft and difficult to control. There needs to be a harder mill to the pencil or something waxy added so one can control the amount that goes on and where it goes. I'll probably use this as a lip liner instead. I've been waiting for Bobbi to come out with a brow pencil since I enjoy using her makeup so much. My brows are very sparse and light so I've used a brown pencil since I was a teen. This pencil does not disapoint in the way it goes on - very soft and natural looking and easy to use. It also comes with it's own sharpener, which is a plus. I bought the pencil in Gray, and althought not completely a gray color - it has a does have a little brown in it - it is closer to gray than any other pencil I have tried. I use it in conjunction with her grey eyeshadow powder, and the color mix is perfect. I think the combination of powder/pencil looks cleaner that just the powder alone, which I had been using. And it also stays on all day. For reference, my hair is silver in front, blue eyes, cool toned skin.

Finally a consistency and color that's right! After I finally decided to go grey I couldn't find a color of brown pencil that worked; everything seemed too dark, too light, or too red. Finally Something That Really Works

I've tried dozens of brow products over the years. This works best for several reasons: First, the color is perfect. Initially I ordered Blonde because of my red hair and pale skin, but it was a little dark. Then I got Wheat, which is perfect because it doesn't overwhelm the rest of my face. Second, using the pencil is a one-step process. I'm sick of products--no matter how well they work--that have 2, 3, and sometimes 4 steps with several tools you have to use. Who needs to bother with that! Third, Bobbi's Brow Pencil looks natural, and it stays put. These qualities are very important because I've never had any brows to speak of. They've always been light and sparse and are getting worse the older I am. Thanks, Bobbi, for another wonderful product.

Color almost just right

Product is good but color could be better. I have medium-dark brown hair with lots of carmel highlights so overall it's on the light side. My brows are dark but sparse so I fill in with pencil but I don't want them overpowering. Brow pencils I've used in the past have been too dark or too red. I ordered this BB pencil in Wheat which is described as medium gray brown. I would describe it as medium tan or buff. I like that it's very neutral and blends well with my coloring. The color is ALMOST right by itself but I found it actually looks best if I use just a little bit of a brown pencil then a little bit of Wheat. Kind of a pain to use 2 pencils so I plan to visit the BB counter tomorrow and see if Ash does the trick with just one.

I have naturally dark blonde hair, which is a difficult color to match with a brow pencil. I also have blonde highlights and very thin eyebrows, so I didn't want anything too dramatic. I don't have big features and full brows do not look right on me. The makeup artist used 'grey' which I thought was weird, but it matches perfectly. I also wanted something that I could use to just fill in a little bit without looking like I actually used brow pencil and this is PERFECT for that.

I was skeptical that any pencil could help fill in my very scant brows with a natural look, but this BB pencil does so. The BB online consultant suggested the blond pencil which again made me skeptical, but she was so right. I have light to medium brown hair. First I tried" blonde" it's dark and is brownish red. Then I purchased "grey" that went on very dark almost black. Then I bought the "wheat" which barely shows up on my hand when testing. But after I apply my foundation this SHADE is an excellent neutral color All the shades show up a lot darker on than when testing on hand, so be careful when selecting shade. Its a khol pencil consistency that sharpens well.

I tried several times to sharpen this (once after putting in the freezer for an hour+, but to no avail.) I could not get a sharp tip, and watched my money go down the drain with a endless non-point on this pencil. That's the same as throwing $20 in the gutter. Very disappointed.I will stick to retractable brow pencils from now on.

I absolutely love the formula and colors of these brow pencils. I use the grey (I have brown hair with golden highlights) and it looks completely natural for filling in over plucked arches. I use the brow brush after application to soften it a bit.I do however agree with the other reviews that dislike the pencil form. Huge waste and always breaks during sharpening. If Bobbi would put this in a mechanical pencil form instead it would be amazing!!!!

Not What It Used To Be

Bought the Blonde color a few years ago and it worked pretty well - a little on the reddish side but better than any others I tried. Then couldn't get it anymore. Guess they were reworking the formula. Bought Wheat when it came out again (described as between med brown and gray). Color better but texture not quite as good. Seemed drier and harder to get on smoothly. But still better than others. Bought second Wheat pencil and have wasted most of it trying to keep it sharpened - constantly breaks and has to be sharpened almost every time I use it. Now I see they don't even have Wheat anymore. Grey would probably work but not sure I want to waste $20 on something that may not last more than a couple of weeks. Previous ones lasted for months and months.

Finally, a realistic brow color that is easy to apply and stays on all day. I have light brown, graying hair and medium fair skin. I have tried many, many pencils in the past. The blond ones are too light or too red and the brown pencils are too dark. This one (gray) is the perfect in between shade. It looks like a powder when applied with a light hand and blended, but goes on with the ease of a pencil. Love it, love it, love it! Please don't stop making this color!

pros:

My eyebrows were light reddish brown. Now they are turning white! I have blonde hair and freckles. The brow pencil in "Blonde" is perfect for fair, freckled women. You need a light, feathery touch. If you do it correctly, it really looks natural. It also is good as an eyeliner when black is too severe for your coloring. It is an excellent consistancy and sharpens easily with its own sharpener. This pencil also lasts all day and is worth the price!

Impossible to sharpen

pros:

I have the grey pencil. I love the color and the texture of the pencil but it is impossible to sharpen. The tip breaks very easily and I have lost 50 percent of the pencil in attempts to sharpen. This pencil is too expensive for the quality.

pros:

I love my new gray eyebrow pencil !! MANY years ago I chose to let my hair go gray and all of this time I have looked for an eyebrow pencil that would look natural with my hair. My hair had been a black, not the blue black or dark brown. I have invested HUNDREDS of dollars trying other brands out at home after purchase and even had my daughter looking as well for something. She has even told clerks that she thought my group had been ignored. This one is PERFECT !! I was so moved and happy I thought I was going to have a moment!! lol Seriously, it has been so wonderful to feel like me. I started out as salt and pepper but now have very little pepper there but it is still very dark pepper. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The pencil is soft enough to do light touches with, etc. BRAVO to you and MANY THANKS.

Won't sharpen

pros:

This works well till it needs to be sharpened. There is some kind of plastic that won't let you get a good point and makes it feel like wood on your eye. You end up trying to sharpen so much the pencil gets really small.

pros:

This eyebrow pencil is amazing! I'm using mahogany color and it's really easy to sharpen. I found out that the harder you sharpen it, the easier it is...but gotta be quick :), not like a lot of pencils I know which were easy to be broken. I suggested to my friends and all of them love it! Hope this pencil will not be discontinued!!!

This is a really nice brow pencil. I got the Ash color and it works well with a light to medium brown hair. It's perfect. Not too light and not too dark. Looks very natural. Glad I tried it. Will be back for more

pros:

I have very sparse and thinning eyebrows (over plucked as a teen!). Most eyebrow pencils are too harsh. I have dark hair and bought the blonde pencil and it is perfect. Fills in just enough, soft color and stays on all day. I love it!

Best grey brow pencil ever!!!!

pros:

First of all, grey brow pencils are hard to find. Second of all, wonderful-colored greys, smooth-applying greys, long-wearing greys can't be found except for BB.Bobbi, if you ever discontinue the grey, I want to know ahead of time so I can buy the last of your "greys"!! Better yet, listen to your customers. Don't discontinue this color!

The description of this product said it was a medium brown...I should have paid more attention to the name which was "ash." The pencil was so light when it arrived I am unable to use it. I do have medium brown hair and brows...this pencil is for VERY light brown brows only. I guess I wasted $22.

pros:

I love my bobbie brown eye pencil, it glides on smoothly, my only problem is the color. My hair is silver and I've been looking for a gray pencil and y'all had that color. But when I received it , it is gray on my wrist but when on put it on my brows it comes a light brown I am perplexed why the change of color. If y'all have an explanation please let me know. Maybe I need a different shade like pueter. Thank you

The grey pencil is wonderful. Although the color looks light it fills in and darkens my brows, which are brown with a few white hairs.
