I am very disappointed in this reformulated toner. Not only does it not smell as good as the old one, it does not work as well. I am finding it takes several cotton balls of this toner to get my skin feeling clean, and it does not work as well. Please bring back the old formula,

This is hardly the first time that I have purchased Hydrating Face Tonic. It's name says it all. There are no drying effects, the fragrance is pleasant and calming, and simply put: my face loves it! as the title says im very contented with it. i have asked for a tester few days ago and as soon as i finished cleansing i have tried the toner and it made my skin supple. im very delighted with it's fresh smell i liked it.. its probably one of the reasons why i have purchased it. it's very hydrating and it doesnt leave my skin oily after using it, though i use oil control after. so far i would certainly recommend the product!

This toner is better than the predecessor and I like how it feels on my skin after shaving and prior to going to bed. However, the use of toners is not necessary and is relatively outdated. Toners were created to remove heavy cleansing creams and nothing more! I only use this on occasion as a treat for myself.

I was looking for a more affordable replacement for my other toner, which costs about 3 times the price of this one. I saw this had good reviews, claimed to be hydrating (a quality I always look for) and provided a good amount of product for a very reasonable price. But that's where the good qualities end.First of all, the smell is terrible. I thought maybe with time it would stop bothering me, but no: it is so strong. Then, I honestly felt it dried my skin instead of "hydrating" it. I felt it did nothing. I tried to give it away but everybody said 'No, thank you' as soon as they smell it. Sorry this did not work for me. Wouldn't recommend it.

I use this in the morning to freshen and hydrate my skin prior to moisturinzing. The most hydrating toner I've ever used, but not greasy or oily. The scent is very peaceful and relaxing. I very seldom spend $ on toners, as I used to perceive them as an unecessary step between washing and moisturizing. I've taken to skipping the wash in the am and using this instead to gently exfoliate and freshen, as washing seems a bit harsh since makeup was removed previous evening. I'm a "toner convert". Thanks BB, you rule!

I don't think that this product is amazing, but it does feel refreshing and I like the gel-like consistency and the crisp, pleasant smell. Also, it makes my skin feel less tight after I wash my face, before my moisturizer goes on. I usually use it after I take makeup off and wash my face, as a treat at the end of the day. The bottle is gorgeous, too.

Face tonics have been an essential part of my morning routine for years. It gives my skin a pick up and gets it ready for my moisturizer. I loved the old formula and bought it in the jumbo size.I have been using this new version for a couple of weeks. It doesn't seem to have the same refreshing quality as the old one but it does seem more hydrating. I find the fragrance to have a more natural quality and I like that. In short. I'll continue to buy it. Now, Bobbi, please offer it in a larger bottle.

Bring Back Soothing Face Tonic!

After using the orginial Soothing Face Tonic for 4+ years, I was suprised to find out that it had been change to Hydrating Face Tonic. My personal opinion is that it does not make my face feel as refreshed as the Soothing Face Tonic, in fact, it feels as if there is a film being left on my face...I have been using the new Hydrating Face Tonic for more than a week and I get this feeling everytime it is applied which is after each face cleansing. I am an avid user of Bobbi Brown products and hate to see this product change. Wish I had known the Soothing Face Tonic was being discontinued, I would have purchased several bottles!

This is the best face tonic ever. It is not harsh on the skin. It is a little pricey but it lasts a long time, a little goes a long way. Although I do prefer the glass bottles, for some reason I think high quality products like the ones from Bobbi Brown are better in glass than plastic. Kind of like how water tastes better in glass than plastic.For that I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars.

I like this face tonic as it is refreshes my skin especially in the summer and i like that it takes off makeup, dirt and oil. I've been a devotee to Bobbi's Soothing Face Tonic since 2005. I used to put it in my fridge during the summer and it felt amazing to use it cold, plus it really helped shrink my pores and calm any irritation (especially when the product was applied cold).Long story short, when I found out they discontinued the SFT, I tried the hydrating face tonic and expected great things from it. After using it for about a week, couldn't wait to run out of it so I wouldn't ever have to use it again. It did NOTHING for my skin, period. It didn't even out my skin tone, it didn't shrink my pores, and I actually experiences MORE break outs when I used it. Because of this product, I've completely cut that step out of my skin care routine.This product is a huge let down.

My skin is extremely oily, so I did not think a hydrating product would work for me. I was very wrong. This product not only makes my skin feel soft and refreshed, but it controls the oils in my skin all day. I've never been very big on toners and have never used one that I felt made enough of a difference in my skin to justify spending the extra money. That is, until I received a sample of this toner from BB. I tried it one night after cleaning my face and was very surprised at how much cleaner my skin felt afterwards. Not just cleaner, but softer and refreshed without feeling dry or stripped. When I reached the end of the sample and still couldn't stop touching my face after each use, I knew I had to have the full size bottle. That was a few bottles ago and I still have no regrets!

I use this a little differently than most women. I keep a small amount in a small spray bottle and use it under my moisturizer.In the winter, my exceptionally dry skin needs all the help it can get! A light spritz of this toner on my skin, followed by two of Bobbi's moisturizers (one from the Extra line), keeps my 50+ skin healthy and glowing.

on the advice of a super awesome friendly helpful bobbi MUA, i use this under the long-wearing even finish foundation as my sole morning moisturizer, as i have very oily skin and the foundation, although for oily and normal skin types, has hydrating properties in it and using another lotion would be overkill. LOVE!!!!!!! still use an extremely light, serum-y texture SPF 35 on top w/ no ill effects :)use at night too after cleansing to remove any lingering residue (pls note i DO use moisturizer at night)
