This powder looks scary bright in the pan, but it is gorgeous on the skin. Antigua is the color I bought, and I'm so glad I did. I'm extremely pale, and after always looking dirty with tan or golden bronzer, I decided to try this pink-gold color. It's stunning. I'm so glad I bought it. Apply it with the new bronzing brush and you can't go wrong.

I bought this product on a whim because I was intrigued. The compact is larger than I expected (i.e. more product than I expected) and I like that it gives just enough color. Bronzers can be too dark and blushes too bright but this is almost a mix of the two. Easy to apply and I don't have to worry about putting too much on and having to wipe off later!

Using Illuminating Bronzing Powder is like getting a free ticket to Hawaii and a reserved beach chair at the resort without having to pay for it or slather on sunscreen!! I brush it lightly on the top of my cheekbones over my SPF 15 foundation, bronzer and blush to brighten up my face. I lightly brush it across my collar bone to add some brightness when I wear sleeveless summer tops. It makes my tan look even better than on its own. People say to me, "Your skin tone is great!" "You look so healthy!" I just say, "WOW!"

I got the Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Antigua, and absolutely love it! It has a soft pink dewy glow thats adds a youthful softness to the whole face. I layer more on cheeks for blush, and have a finished look. Very complimentary to my fair/medium skin, and not so tan or bronze that I couldn't use this in the winter. Also, this will last forever, since a tiny bit of the powder will do the whole job.

I don't know how Bobbi did it, but she managed to completely outdo herself on this product. I ordered the Bronzing Powder in Maui. When I got it and opened it up, I was very dismayed to find a bright pink powder with tiny flecks of gold in it. I thought "There's no way this is going to look good all over my face." Boy, was I ever wrong. The color is wonderful, it just gives you a beautiful glow. As a bronzer it gives me a really pretty subtle tan color which I love as I am trying not to get too much sun as I get older. The color is very natural. It also stays on all day, no need for touch ups. I highly recommend this product - it is truly a winner! Thanks Bobbi!

However the makeup artist told me that the illuminating Bronzer in Bali would work with the Honey foundation that I use. I am very satisfied with her recommendation. I was already a huge fan of the bobbi brown matte bronzer, which i have in natural and medium, and when i saw this collection I had to try it. I mean, what girl isn't a fan of a little summer shimmer? I ordered the lightest tan color in Aruba. It is gorgeous! The color pay off is great, and the saying power is also unbelievable. It's not too shimmery, so you don't have to go outside looking like a disco ball, but it gives you a nice glow with some color. I'm so pleased with this product, i've decided to order Antigua, which I believe will look great on the cheeks.

Tried so many bronzers - always kept hoping to get that healthy, sun-kissed look - all I've ever gotten was that "mud on your face" look - this was the last shot - and it's the perfect one - I'm 53, this makes me look glowy, NOT shiny, not metallic, just almost that "excited litle girl" soft look - even my husband commented that my face looked "soft and glowy" - no hard edges, blends beautifully. Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Maui is amazing. It gives me such a healthy glow. It is a pretty pink coral. Although you could use blush over it, I like using it alone. I have redness in my cheek area and pink blush can make me look even more flushed, but the Illuminating Bronzer is perfect. It gives me a touch of color without looking too pink in the cheeks. I cannot live without this product.

This is great! I own 3 colors, and every single one of them I use for a different occasion. If I wear blush I use Antigua as a finishing touch. When I want a coral sunkissed look I use Maui alone as a blush and when I just want to enhance my natural tan I use Bali Brown. True Tan Color

Just a gorgeous true TAN. I exchanged Bali Brown (instead of Bahama), and boy what a difference! It shows up wonderfully on my tanned NC35 face. The only reason I took off a lippie is bc there's quite a bit of shimmer as you open the compact. It doesn't show quite as much when you put the product on, but why couldn't this have less shimmer? Anyway, two thumbs up for this color, Bali Brown. The powder itself is good, looks very pretty. It was the COLOR ("Bahama") that's got me upset. That one is for darker skin tones, and boy do they mean it. It goes on like mud on my cheeks, orange mud at that. But Bali Brown is ALL THAT!

I have a fair complexion and after verifying with a makeup artist from Bobbi's website , I selected the Aruba shade of this product for a warm summer glow. The Aruba is not matte, but not over the top sparkly. Just a nice warm shimmer that looks very pretty on the areas of my face that I want to add a warmth to. A pop of color on the cheeks and I'm set! The texture is very finely milled and applies quite smoothly for me. I also use her new Bronzer brush to apply.

Had to choose between Maui or Bali Brown. Opted for the Maui and very glad I did. The color is beautiful. I use it not so much as a bronzer but more as a blush. This is an excellent product. I am in my early 40's with sensitive skin so have to be careful of bronzers. This goes on beautifully and stays forever. It has great shine but not the glitter that can sometimes overwhelm a day look. The color is very true without the muddiness I have seen in some bronzers. I love the colors, the texture and the fact that it does not irritate my skin.

I purchased this product in Antigua based on some incredible reviews I read on a beauty board. I was not disappointed!! I am light skinned and this shade works beautifully as a highlighter or light bronzer blush. I was a bit leary to try yet another bronzer. But I LOVE these. I bought Maui first which is a bit peachier and brighter than I thought it would be. A BB Makeup Artist recommended it over Antigua. It is very pretty for a pop of color. I then bought Antigua and I love it!!! It gives a fantastic flush of color. Like I just finished a run. I still need to practice a bit but think I will get Aruba and/or the natural or light original bronzers. I'm addicted! The colors are not too shimmery at all. If you are not a shimmer person don't let the shimmer scare you. It's beautiful.

I think this powder is great! I started with bahamas, as I have tan skin because of meds I am on. Anyway, this color looked the best and put a beautiful, sunny glow on my face without looking orange, muddy or dark brown. It gives a nice golden tan without being in the sun. So I wanted to also try Maui which has a gorgeous, candlelight glow that just makes the total look. I also ordered aruba for winter time so I can keep that sunkissed glow while still looking like I have been in the sun. Ladies, you can even use this instead of foundation, it goes on light and easy and stays on. Great product again from Bobbi.

This bronzer works well with fair skin because it does not have the brown/orange tones that can appear muddy or dirty on fair skin. The illuminating factor brightens up my face. I've wanted the Illuminating Bronzer in Maui ever since I saw the model wearing it in Bobbi's Illuminating Bronze Collection.I have pretty tan skin, and I was a bit afraid it wasn't going to show on my cheeks.Thankfully I was so wrong!Maui is a beautiful shimmery mix of pink, coral, and bronze that gives a my face a very radiant, healthy look. When worn over my Bobbi Brown matte blushes (pretty much any of them!) it just makes my face glow. When worn by itself it gives my skin a little pop of color and my skin looks fresh and radiant.The shimmer is not overwhelming, and the color is buildable so start with a light hand and go from there.I love how this color doubles as a blush as well, so when I'm running low on time but still want to feel sexy I brush this on and go.Can't wait to try the others!

I heard that Bobbi Brown was coming out with a bronzer with shimmer in it over a year ago, and that it was going to be beautiful. I was told to watch for “Antigua”.I purchased Antigua the first week it premiered without even trying it on. I hurried home and put it right over the blush I was wearing, and I just glowed:) I’ve tried it with my regular bronzer, with pot rouge, with everyone of my six powder blushes (I’m a BB blush addict), and all by itself. It always looks wonderful no matter what, and never looks like I’ve tried to do anything at all. It’s a product that’s reminiscent of several shimmer/bronzer products that came out in 2005, but so much nicer. It doesn’t have that nasty white look if I put on a little too much. It’s finely milled and hard pressed so that I never have to be careful.Antiqua gives me that sunny, healthy, pretty “I’ve been on a vacation” look. Now…who could ask for more?

I heard Bobbi say she developed this in the Antigua shade for a friend that is so pale no other bronzers worked with her skin tone and then she liked the formula so well she decided to launch it in multiple colors for her regular line. I wouldn't consider Antigua and Maui true bronzer shades as much as skin awakening blush shades since they are more pink and coral respectively (which is why they work on uber pale skin and shouldn't make it muddy like some true bronze shades might). The remaining colors are variations of truer bronze shades for light to darker complexions. These all have a bit of subtle shimmer that is at a level between the regular bronzers and the shimmerbricks.I'm too pale for the bronze shades and while Antigua and Maui are super pretty I can achieve the same effect with Bobbi's regular blush which is cheaper & I can pop into my palette - so these are not must haves for me.

Can you say "Solid Gold Dancer?"I purchased the Illuminating Bronzer in Aruba and I am so pleased! I was surprised when the consultant chose the Aruba shade for me and not one of the darker ones. But Aruba really does brighten my complection and it gives me a sun-kissed glow rather than a glittery look.The product blends well when you use a good brush and also highlights my blush nicely. A little dab with a Q-tip on the inner corners of my eyes helps to open them up. Very versatile!

Although part of Bobbi Brown's Illuminating Bronzer series, it is more accurate to think of Antigua as the effect that the sun gives you on the first day or two of sun exposure--that pink "I was out all afternoon at the beach" look.- Does not fade throughout the day- Gives a light, natural shimmer that illuminates- Does not give the "glitter bomb" effect; it's subtle and natural- I use this product over a tan or brown bronzer--this gives you a wonderful "tan and slight pinky" skin look- Makes skin look alive, glowing rather than matte or dark like many bronzers.Typically, I use Antigua with my standby bronzer and no blush.I bought this on a complete whim. I got this bronzer in Antigua. The texture is very fine, just like the matte bronzers. However, the color was definately more pink than the picture shows. I was expecting a more beige/mauve color given the site's photo. Still, this bronzer goes on very softly and naturally. The shimmer is quite subtle.

It seems that all shades would work for almost any skintone.It goes on sheer and the shimmer in not excessive at all. When I first got this bronzer, I thought it was much too shimmery. However, the online makeup artist had recommended that I choose the illuminating bronzer for my fair complexion. Since trying it on my skin, I like it--it doesn't seem to deposit a lot of shimmer on the skin. I have a couple bronzer brushes, but again I'm wondering if I should get Bobbi's bronzer/blender brush since the bristles seem more tightly packed which I think might help application. He recommended using this product over Bobbi's regular bronzer, which I already use. I had him apply it, and then went to a business meeting. Someone actually commented that I had a really nice healthy glow to my complexion! SOLD, BOBBI!I have a good bit of red already in my skin, so I bought "Aruba". I may try another as a blush substitute at some point, but I think I really NEED blush.I'm over 50 and the Shimmer Bricks are just WAY too much glitter for me. This was just right...just a glow.

A BB consultant helped me select Antigua. I asked if this could also be used elsewhere on the face and the answer is yes! I apply a very sheer dusting all over for a healthy glow, then go back and treat the apples of my cheeks to a generous application, blending up and into the hairline. I saw a lot of reviews for people with fair skin who bought this in Antigua so I thought I'd try it. I use the regular bronzer in Golden Light 1 which is perfect for me (I'm shade Porcelain for ref). This is definitely pink and shimmery, which I like using as blush on top of using the original bronzer. It is a great pop of color and is very glowy not glittery. Even though it is a brighter pink it still looks really natural. I personally think this looks great with a subtle bronze/brown eye, lots of mascara, and a pink/rosey lip. So pretty!

I purchased this illuminating bronzing powder in Maui from a recommendation from the BB makeup artist. I have Bobbi's bronzer in Natural that I used all winter but is now too brown on my skin. Iwanted something to offset the brown. The recommendation was Maui. It is a bit too pinky for me by itself but blended with the Natural I have, it's perfect. I decided not to return it and use as above. It's the perfect combination. I may try another color when I finish with this and go to a store to try in person.Otherwise, it goes on very smoothly; does not go into my creases and does not appear powdery.

I bought the shade Antigua online and was surprised it was so pink - hardly what I would call a bronzer. On my skin it turns a nice subtle peachy color though, and it really is a perfect match for my skin tone. It blends better than any powder product I've ever used, and it has a pretty sheen to it. However, Antigua isn't exactly a bronzer, so be warned!!

The Antigua shade is perfect for me, just the right touch of a bronzy pink without making me look orange or something that just came out of a disco with the shimmer.The pink cast to this shade is great for the fair skinned, the perfect balance between bronze and pink. Antigua for me is like a little flush, really soft and natural; Maui is more of a peachy-pink and the shimmer is very soft but higher than in Antigua. I got this in Maui to use as a blush at the recommendation of the BB national makeup artist who did a polished/nude look for me. She explained that for me (Asian, round face, medium skin) this gave a softer, more natural look than using actual blush. I really loved the way it looked on, there is no glitter, just a pretty flush of color. In the pan it looks a little glittery, but it doesn't show up that way on the skin. I would definitely recommend this.

I have never written a review before, but I feel that Bobbi Brown's Illuminating Bronzing Powder deserves one! I was always looking for that perfect bronzer that didn't make my face look muddy or unnatural. I'm so happy that I found this product because they come in different tones. I bought Aruba and Antigua and they are absolutely gorgeous together! I love them both because they're light. Aruba doesn't make my face look darker when the makeup has been on my face all day (oxidation is what you call it?). And Antigua is a light pink tone that didn't make my face look too red that it looks unnatural.It's the best bronzer you'll ever use. I know I won't look elsewhere. This is it for me and I'm happy that my search for the perfect bronzer is over! And also, I have oily skin and anything that shimmers I stay away from. This product has a little bit, but you cannot tell unless you look very closely. One word to really describe this product is perfection. So ladies, get yours you won't regret it.

I just purchased two bronzers, Medium and Antigua. I loved how Antigua looked online.....a muted, shimmery, warm pink/brown. However, the actual color is a very bright carnation pink. The color looks pretty though I wish it had been closer to the color shown online. Also, the Medium bronzer does have some yellow/orange undertone. If you want more brown, I would go with the Natural as this color is definitely more brown with almost plum undertones. I will be returning my Medium for the Natural. Color issues aside.......they both feel incredible on my skin and give my face a very pretty flush and glow.

The texture is smooth and works wonderfully over my Golden Light bronzer (which hasn't had any packaging issues).The one thing that prevents me from recommending this is that the "lock" on both compacts has stuck after fewer than 10 uses, making it impossible to close all the way.

This product is perfection. I have this in Antigua, which is a slight-pinkish bronze tone with barely perceptible shimmer. It works wonders as both a bronzer as well as a blush. On the face, it evens out my complexion, softens the ruddiness without making me look ashy or flat. The pink perks it up so I don't look muddy and is closer to my natural skin color, and the shimmer truly brightens and illuminates. The pink tone works very well layered over my pot rouge (Chocolate Cherry is a fav) to add a pink warmth to my cheeks. Absolutely fantastic product, the formula is wonderful on my extremely sensitive skin (no breakouts, even with touch-ups) and does not look artificial or heavy. I love that with one compact i can multi-task: warmth and brightening as well as evening out my complexion, and "blush" just on my cheeks. No other product has been able to do that for me. Gives that brightened and refreshed look of being at the beach. Love it!

The Aruba was a total mistake for my coloring. After consulting with an artist I find that I should be using Natural bronzing powder. Bobbi's illuminating bronzer is by far the best I have ever used. I bought it for the first time in June 2010 in the store and still have a tiny bit left. I say this because I use the brozer AT LEAST once a day, therefore it lasts quite a while. I decided to try the matte version a couple of weeks ago and wasn't crazy about it. I sent it back and got my second compact of the Illuminating in Aruba yesterday. Love it! It has the perfect amount of shimmer that doesn't look "glittery" at all but leaves you with a gorgeous, subtle, sun-kissed glow. This bronzer really makes a difference. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

If you're looking for something to put over your foundation then try this. The foundation stick (6.5) with this is a perfect combo. Just dust it on lightly and you will have beautiful glow instantly. I have it in Bahamas and it just blends in beautifully. I loveeee it.

I bought this in "Maui". I have never seen a color like this before! It is so beautiful--the shimmer is just right--not too much. I like shimmered bronzers but usually there is too much shimmer in them. I can use this all over my face and it doesn't CHANGE my skin color, just ENHANCES it. I love this bronzing powder! I ordered it in Antigua, Maui and Aruba. I layer the Aruba over the Maui on warmer days or the Antigua is great for just a blusher. Love this product! Not too much shimmer and it's the only bronzer I've had success with b/c of having light freckles in my complexion. I bought this bronzer in the color Maui and its such a pretty coral/pink color. The online color in the picture does not do it justice at all. I use over my blush or sometimes alone as a blush. It has a light shimmer but compliments my face in all lights and gives me a nice subtle glow. It photographs really well and makes you look so healthy and warm looking. The color Maui literally makes you look like you have a Hawaiian glow...I LOVE IT and can't live without it. I also purchased this bronzer in Antigua and its very pretty. Way more subtle than Maui. Antigua is a soft pink with a light simmer that is nice for those day's where you don't want to wear a lot of makeup but want to give you cheeks a soft hint of color, it's very pretty and very feminine....

I was skeptical mostly because it's hard to find a good match for my Asian skin. It was smooth, subtle, and gorgeous. I recently bought the Antigua Illuminating Bronzing Powder after a recommendation from a fair-skinned friend. I have been using it for a few days now, and someone at work asked me if I had been getting some sun!! And I'm normally pale!!! The Antigua looks mighty pink when you crack the lid, but don't let that deter you. This shade is SO flattering on my fair skin with pinky undertones and the micro pearls are very subtle. If you're on the fence about a bronzer, buy this one. You won't be sorry!

I just received my Antigua Bronzer today and absolutely love it. It's very soft and natural looking. It looks as if I've been in the sun just enough to get a pretty flush. I'm blonde, blue eyes, but not real fair skinned, so it took a little more to get just the right shade of "sun-kissed". It doesn't streak or look at all blotchy, either. It has a very soft, subtle sheen, but no sparkly look. I'm very happy with it and now am trying to decide which shade of lipstick would look best with this bronzer. Guaranteed BB will have exactly the right one!

I have bought Maui color in Illuminating Bronzing Powder which is like both pink and peachy with its shimmer. I also treated myself and bought Shimmer Brick Compact - Nectar. It enhances the glow and completes my make-up perfectly. As I use my hydrating cream just before my bronzer and shimmer, the color and the glow stays all day long even if I put my hand on my cheeks often during the day. It seems as if I just applied even in the evening so I donot carry them with me or reapply. At first I didnot want to use the Shimmer daily but only on special days, but I cannot help using it, as it completes my eye make up so very perfectly. Thanks Bobbi for these lovely products. Bought these 2 @ the same time for my summer & winter 'tan'. Multi-taskers, they are! I sweep Aruba after my Bobbi Brown Warm Natural Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation as a warm tint to my skin, & as an all-over shadow. Then use the Bali Brown as my bronzer with a light hand. With a bit of a medium 'heavy hand', I then use the same as my blush. Then I'm good to go in the mornings. To me, I'd call it perfectly imperfect - oh so natural! These 2 shades of the Illuminating Bronzer just brings out the golden tone of my skin! Just epic! Winner!

I was on the fence about this because my experience in the past with other bronzers is that my face is orange by the end of the day. Not with this one. It actually gives me Golden 6 skintone a nice glow without looking like an orange disco ball. Just a light touch in areas where the sun naturally hits the face. Hi, this product is perfect to wear during the day or evening for a subtle movie-star glow. However, the packaging of the powder causes it to crumble after using it about half way. The powder is in dry layer form, but not placed directly in the bottom of the pan. It's suspended in a layer above a pocket of air, I guess to make it look like there's more product. After using the powder layer down about half way, it weakens and crumbles and falls apart.

WOW!! I finally found a bronzing powder I Love. Never go a day without it ( January thru December).I apply in the figure of a 3 on the outer edges of my face and down my neck. WOWzA! Some might like this shimmering bronzing powder, if you are looking for something with not much coverage and color. I ordered the antigua color, thinking it would be more of a brown toned pink. When I got it, it was more like a pink blush. Unfortunately when I applied it, it was difficult to get the color to apply evenly and the shimmer in the product didn't help the eveness of application. However I love Bobbi's shimmer bricks! I am sending this product back for matte finish bronzing powder in golden light and will add shimmer as I want with shimmer brick or blush! Hey, you never know until you try! Love Bobbi's online return policies! Thanks!

I bought this bronzer in the Barbados Tan, which BB no longer provides (must have become a discontinued color), but it's great and the shimmer is not too much or not too little, just a subtle shimmer added to brighten up your face. I love sweeping this over my favorite BB blushes or under them, especially the more matte blushes to give them a little hint of shimmer. Wonderful product, but disappointed to see that Barbados Tan has been discontinued.

I had been wearing the Medium2 bronzer for like 6 months, even in winter since that is when I bought.. Went to Bobbi Brown counter as they were having Bobbi Brown make up artists there, and I had an Appt.. One of the personal artists that works with Bobbi Brown was there and he started asking the artist working on me why she chose the colors that she had chosen for bronzers.. I was used to wearing the Medium2 bronzer and since I have redish skin when I get nervous, or excited or crying for example, my neck, and chest area breaks out in this redish color, I hate it!! well my skin of course was doing that at the time and he recommended the Illuminating Bronzer in Maui color, to match my skin rather than the "golden look". I like it , I like the medium2 as well, but ever since that day, I have been wearing the Maui, and I use it as my blush too all in 1. And it does match better for me. I am light to medium skin tone, I wear warm sand 2.5 skin foundation. Looks Great! Thank you Bobbi Artists!

Bad color for me anyway. I called in to see what they would recommend for my skin type and they recommended the Maui Illuminating Bronzer. Unfortunately the color, on my computer showed more of a brownish, however when I received the product it was way too pink for my skin. I love this! I was debating on this or the regular bronzer. I have a pink shimmer brick that is a little too light...so I wasn't sure if illuminating bronzer and shimmer brick would be too much. This is nothing like a shimmer brick...It IS very warming, but very sheer...it is not shimmery at all, just not matte....I love this product. It makes me look awake and prettier before I even add blush or eye makeup...I would say it's important to note that it's not shimmery and it is very delicately sheer. Will definitely rebuy this product!

Just wanted to say there is a reason Antigua is listed as a bronzer & not blush. It's a bronzer for a very specific skin type that regular brown/tan/gold bronzers don't work on. If you are like me with light/fair skin with warm/yellow undertones and pink/rose blushes pull (turn) orange or brown on you, then Antigua might work well for you. Normal brown or gold bronzers always look dirty on my skin nO matter how light. I need a bronzer with a lot of pink in it so that when it blends with my skin tone, it comes out looking like a normal bronzer instead of muddy & orange. Now if pink & rose colored bronzers don't pull orange on you & you can wear normal brown/gold shade bronzers, then Antigua would likely work more as a beautiful, natural blush for you. For those of us who pull orange from pinks in blush & can't wear brown toned bronzers, this is a great option! Doesn't look pink on me at all. Just looks like a pretty golden sunkissed look.

Healthy Glow-no Shimmer Frost

I've shied away from pink in blushes or even bronzers but this makes me look healthy and ready to face the world.From 1 year out of chemo having color in my face as I was rebuilding my strength was/is important-want outside to match the good feelings inside. Antigua is a perfect pink brown, sheer and easy to apply-I use a kabuki. Compact is good for purse and a good value as well.

Adds the right amount of color

pros:

I wasn't sure about using this product because I hadn't tried it before I bought it. I wear porcelain foundation and white powder, so I look like a ghost (in my opinion). I had an online chat with an artist and she recommended antigua as the color to use. It does give me just enough color and it looks very natural.

Glowing skin

I have fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes, and I bought this powder bronzer in "Aruba". It's perfect for a subtle glow without adding a lot of color; I have issues with some bronzers making my skin look dirty rather than tan, but not this one. Some of the colors seem to have more sparkle, in the pan at least, but Aruba is very subtly illuminating, giving skin a beautiful healthy glow without looking glittery. I am so happy I bought this brozner!

The main reason I bought this was because it came so highly recommended by other customers. I have fair skin during the cold, winter months in Chicago, and I needed something that would give me a little bit of color, and this was perfect! It gives my skin the little extra boost, while adding some dimension (if that makes sense!). If you are like me and I feel like my face just looks so flat and pale in the winter, so I add this to my cheekbones, the top of my forehead, the bridge of my nose, and my chin to give it a little bit of a sunkissed-warm glow.I would highly recommend!

I have repurchased Aruba multiple times. So, I really wanted to try a different color. I went with Antigua. Although it's a really pretty color, I still prefer Aruba as my bronzer.
