This product is AMAZING for dry skin! I have been using it for two weeks now and have noticed an improvement in fine lines and hydration! I am a huge fan of the entire EXTRA line ever since it helped cure my eyelid eczema. Having eyelid eczema was the worst experience of my life and I tried tons of over-the-counter creams and dermatologist creams/ointments, but nothing worked. I finally decided to switch to Bobbi Brown as a final attempt to fix my problem and boy am I glad I did! The EXTRA line and soothing eye balm have been my life savor and I love everything about them! I have been a long-time user of Bobbi Brown and was disappointed that I had just purchased the intensive skin supplement before this new serum came out. I recently went to pick up a few necessities at the BB counter and received a very generous sample of the repair serum. I have extremely dry skin and cannot believe the difference in using this serum after just about a week's time. Smoothy, silky texture and makes makeup application look and feel flawless. A bit higher price tag than the other serum but definitely worth the price. I highly recommend. Keep up the great work Bobbi!

I was really skeptical about this product even with the positive reviews - mainly due to the price. After finishing a sample I was convinced. You can apply this treatment right out of the shower without fear of irritation. It penetrates quickly and leaves your skin super-smooth all day long. After cleansing at night, I re-apply under the hydrating face cream. Now I am waking up with noticeably clearer and smoother skin. This is the sort of standard-setting product that originally brought me to and then made me love Bobbi Brown products! It really has a wonderful silky texture. It has the nicest light and fluid texture... sort of like heavy whipping cream. It's milk-white in color and had no scent I could distinguish. There's no gelatinous quality to this serum either; it's incredibly light with wonderful slip to it and the smallest drop or two are enough for the entire face and neck. Absorbs right away! No residual "hangover" on the skin. I almost hate to apply moisturizer afterward.It is worth the price; this medium-sized pump jar (a little more than half the size of the Hydrating Face Tonic bottle) will last a while because you need to use so little. I've even been using it on my under-eye area before my Hydrating Eye Lotion; I swear within the first three or four days the skin looked smoother and fuller. Not swollen or puffy; just taut.I'm sold on this stuff and much prefer it to the Brightening Serum (which I liked quite well).

If you can get passed the somewhat exhorbitant price, you will be thankful that you did. I have combination skin that is prone to eczema flare-ups on my chin and jaw. This serum is hydrating without being greasy. I don't have to use another moisturizer on top of it, either. I find that this in combination with the Protective Face Lotion SPF 15 is enough for my entire face. Incredible product!

The question: Is this product REALLY worth the price?The answer: Yes. It is. In particular if you have dry or sensitive or aging skin.I am 57 years "mature" with ultra dry and very sensitive skin. (As example, even any product with SPF additive causes my skin to rebel.) Yet, I often receive compliments about my complexion. In particular when my age comes up. As in "I'd never know it by your beautiful skin." Bobbi Brown skin care products played a big role in that.I was using the BB intensive skin supplement under the hydrating night cream (which I used as night and day time moisturizer) as well as Bobbi Brown makeup. But I live in a high and dry climate with harsh winters and this past, wicked cold one I was feeling my skin was under-hydrated. At just about the same time I heard about the new Extra Repair Serum. Still, I resisted purchasing it, based on price point.I finally decided to give the new serum a go. After a month of use, I can say this is a wonderful product! It has the firming, texture quality improving benefits of the intensive skin supplment but with an extra oomph of hydration, feeling "aaahhhh - some" going on and seeming to make my skin more receptive to moisturizer while needing less of it.I now use this Serum in between the Extra Balm Rinse for cleansing and Extra Moisturizing Balm (NON SPF formula) for moisturizing. A great trifecta of care for dry, sensitive, mature (aka aging) skin. Pro-rated out on a daily use basis, the total cost barely equals the price of a coffee beverage at a local coffee house. That Cuppa Joe I'm willing to give up if push comes to shove for economy. These Bobbi Brown products I'm not.

The entire EXTRA line seems like it's really geared toward those with dry skin, so it almost led me to believe that it may make combination gals like me oily. Not true in the least!! I am a big believer in serum, I don't know why - it may be in my head, but I think that my skin looks so much better when I'm using serum. The problem is finding a good one that is worth the value. I really like this one - I love the smell, the milkiness, and you will not believe the way your face feels after you apply it. It's literally like your face just drank a whole cup of water.My only gripe about it is the $$. I am combination skin and think that it is definitely among the best of serums I have used. However, I believe that this serum would work wonders for someone who has skin problems like dryness, redness, flakiness. I personally don't have major skin problems but would totally use this as my primary serum if it weren't so expensive. I use about 2 pumps per use and so far it has lasted me a few months and I have about 1/4 of the bottle left, so I'm seeing if I can convince myself that it's worth the money!!

When I saw the price, since I am a Bobbi user for many years, I knew this would be outstanding and it is. It is worth every penny and does last quite awhile. I use it under my extra SPF25 Moisturizing Balm, especially in the evening after cleansing before going to bed. I've been using awesome Extra Repair Serum for a few months now, and I love it! I have combination skin, and when I apply this serum at night, my skin literally drinks it in.....a few minutes after applying I can't even feel anything in my skin.....so light and fresh feeling. I use this at night, followed by the gel moisturizer (another winner - see my review for that if you are interested) and in the morning my skin not only feels amazing, it looks refreshed and plump. I was a bit reluctant to purchase as it is expensive, but to my mind, worth it! After all, we only have one face, take care of it!! A bonus - this smells fresh and light and is not overpowering whatsoever.

If I was told I could only have one product in my skincare routine, Bobbi Brown's Extra Repair Serum would be that product!I had been using another brand name serum prior to receiving this as a sample, and although the other serum was pretty good I still had dryness and felt like it just wasn't giving my sensitive dry complexion what it craved.The very first application of Bobbi's Extra Repair Serum and I knew this was the product I was going to love everything about...and I do!It's creamy texture is divine and the moisturizing properties are lush not heavy at all.But what really impressed me most of all was how my skin continued to look day after day week after week of using this serum. My face has the glow I so have been striving for. Fine lines are diminished and my skin is soft and luminous! This and the Extra Repar Eye Cream is all I use now. Relief for Parched Skin

I recently moved to a cold, dry climate from a hot and humid one. Needless to say, my skin changed drastically, going from combination oily to super parched. Thankfully, I was given this serum as a gift and it has made such a difference. It's very light and sinks right in, providing a great base for foundation but at the same time erasing fine lines, wrinkles and dullness that are so enhanced with dry skin. I use this right before my foundation and it's all I really need as a base. Great before bedtime and around the eyes, too. Every time I buy this, I tell myself it's the last time. The price point is high for me. And every time I run out of it, my skin immediately changes. This is a lovely, luxurious drink for my skin. Cannot live without it and won't run out again!

pros:

I generally have very dry skin that requires multiple types of moisturizers.... I have found that adding this serum to my regimen (used as a base) has significantly improved the overall moisture and appearance of my skin. When I have excluded it from my regimen, my skin is much drier, flakier, and does not look as healthy compared to when I use it. It is lightweight and non-greasy. Definitely worth the money, it does make a difference!

pros:

I have always been resistant to buy this because I was happy with the intensive serum. This year my face has been really dry so I have been using everything Extra. I got this as a sample and after just one use I knew I had to buy this for part of my regular routine. Don't resist this purchase...you will love it.

pros:

I was a bit afraid to use this product bc it said it was for VERY dry skin and I have combination skin. But as I get older and during winter months, I've been getting pretty dry so I finally gave it a try and it is fast absorbing and I am able to apply my makeup right after or apply my night cream without heavy greasy layered feeling!!! Just what I needed and I think I'm going to use this during the summer too along with my SPF 50 with no problem! Great product!!

pros:

The skin near and around my mouth was getting very dry and I could see the lines. As always I turned to Bobbi Brown products for a solution. This serum is expensive but worth it. I could feel the difference right away. The tightness and little lines are gone. I started off using it day and night. Now I just use it at night. This is great for for dry winter skin.

A Drink for your Skin

This by far has been the worst winter for my skin..and I have tried EVERYTHING to clear up the dry patches. Read the reviews with a skeptic eye..but it is the BEST STUFF EVER!! Pricey..but worth it.
