I battle eczema, and last winter, I got it on my face, which was incredibly painful and embarrassing, especially since I was getting married in winter. I tried this oil and it literally cleared it up in three days. Now every time I feel a dry patch coming on, I use this first and it keeps the dryness under control. Very expensive, but worth the price if you struggle with extreme dryness.

Being almost 50 years old has not only changed my views on style but also has made me review how and what I use on my skin. When I went to the Bobbi Brown cosmetic counter and asked for all of the products for aging skin they gave me Extra face oil. I immediately thought , "I am not putting all of that oil on my skin and then deal with break outs again and shine". I asked if I could just try a sample...well, I love it! Its a pure product with all of the good stuff. Does not leave you oily, soaks in right away and leaves you totally moisturized. I now use it everyday and will be a fan forever! Its a great product.

For years I have fought extremely dry skin. As I aged and tried EVERYTHING suggested by dermatologists and friends, nothing helped. This product is so simple, so natural, so basic, and so effective. I love it for all of those things. Amazingly, when I apply it to those hard blemishes deep seeded in the skin that would otherwise take a month to dissolve, this has speed up the recovery time to dissolving that hard blemish in a few days.Also, when my skin feels a bit more dry than normal, I apply it under moisturizer at night. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with skin sensitivities as the essential oils may be irritating to those. But for me, I love to use it this way. In the morning, my skin feels soft and subtle.I'm so in love with this product and frangrance, that I'm using it to relax at work throughout the day (keeping it by my desk to dab on and smell from time to time), and I'm also using it as a perfume. It doesn't last long as a perfume since it's oil based, but that's just fine with me, as its so much less toxic than regular perfumes!

This is my new absolute favorite product. The scent alone is unbelievably calming. I often use it as my nighttime moisturizer to drift off to sleep smelling it. As a flight attendant, with dry skin it is a real pick me up during the flights. Great for cuticles and dry heels also!

I love this oil! I received a small sample bottle and I am definitely going to order some. In spite of oil's pore clogging and greasy reputation, this oil is amazing. Just a small amount leaves my skin soft, cared for and glowing. I have very sensitive skin and highly recommend it.Suggestion: Please consider making this in a 15 ml size as well! Also, are you going to offer the EXTRA sample sized 'try me' kit again? It is great for travel!

Being that I have combination skin I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't have sensitive skin by any means so breakouts weren't ever an issue, it was just the idea of putting an oil on my face that I wasn't to sure about, but then I tried a couple samples and changed my mind.I thought that this would be wonderful during the winter months. Its very soothing and light but at the same time it adds tons of moisture back into your skin. Then I thought why not use this at least a couple times a week all year long too.? It also goes great underneath your hydrating face cream for that EXTRA boost at night before bed. And you wake up with super soft cushioned skin that has a glow from within!! One of Bobbi's best Ideas and I just love the cute glass bottle, looks very retro. This is also great to travel with especially if you fly a lot, just give a couple quick pats on the face and give some life back to your otherwise flight drained skin! I would be devastated it if this was ever discontinued.

This facial oil is amazing. It's light yet fixes dry patches esp. overnight, but after 15 mins you can apply foundation right over it. I have rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis and it is excellent for both, even into the hairline or if you have dry skin from waxing, plucking, etc. Plus it smells great!

This gives great relief to my dry skin. I put it on before bed and use the Vitamin enriched face base on top of it. It makes my skin supersoft and really feels good to pat on after a day spent swimming, or being in cold weather. I would never have thought that this oil would work for my combination skin type. But it does! Easy to apply, a little goes a long way. Your skin literally "drinks" it and it leaves no oily residue behind.The smell is great.This oil is ideal if you live in a dry, desertic climate like I do. Retin A has left my skin much drier than I have ever been used to. Nothing seemed to sooth and fix the dry, flaky skin I was experiencing. I had read somewhere that this product was specifically recommended for dryness caused by Retin A. I was skeptical - oil? - but read the reviews here and decided to try it. I was not disappointed. My skin is supple and moist, redness is gone. The scent is heavenly and it does absorb cleanly into the skin. I use it at bedtime. Love it.

I have tried everything, drinking lots of water, using cleansing oils, creme de la mer, etc., I still had flaking. Until I started using a tiny bit of this in my extra dry areas - voila! The flaking is finally gone! Thank you Bobbi. I'm 55 yrs young, and live in Northern New England, the winter here is brutal on our skin, and I could not get rid of the flaking, even with exfoliation and a lot of moisturizing, still flaking. This is the only product I have found that, added to my other products, rids me of the flakes.

I resisted the oil specifically because I was concerned about my sensitive skin. I get really dry and even develop flakes in the winter.. I was at my wits end. I bought the oil and was not prepared for how quickly it made a difference. My flakes are gone. My makeup goes on more smoothly. The oil absorbs nicely. So, how I was introduced to this product was by one of Bobbi's artists at a local Macy's. At first, I was like, whoa, oil??? Turned out that this is an all star product, absorbs quickly, lasts forever as you don't need but a finger full to cover your entire face, neck and upper chest (save the extra for tops of hands). This coupled with the moisture balm is the bomb!

My skin is SO dry. This oil makes it have a youthful dewiness that I haven't seen in a long time. Surprisingly, it's not greasy at all. The only reason I did not give it 5+ stars is because of the bottle that it comes in - it leaks and wastes the oil. A dropper type bottle like the sample size would be much better.

Makes your moisturizer work harder

There isn't a moisturizer on the market that can keep my face moisturized all day. With the face oil, I only have to use it during my nightime regimen and I can feel its effects for all of the next day. My daytime moisturizer is much more effective and my foundation doesn't feel like it's sucking the moisture from my face anymore. I use it all over my face during the winter and only on my cheeks during the summer time in humid Houston, TX. It works great on the tops of my hands as well. I will admit that the scent was a little overwhelming and triggered a migraine during the first use but I've gotten used to it and no longer get headaches. I will definitely recommend this to family & friends.

I recently purchased this oil on the recommendation of this website's BB MUA via the chat feature. I was wondering what I might add to my moisturizing routine to kick it up a notch on drier-skin-days. I've been using the brightening system exclusively for a while and while the Brightening Moisturizing lotion is typically fine for me over the Brightening Serum, there are days when my skin can use a boost. Since I prefer not to skip any steps in my brightening routine, I wanted to add something rather than replace anything, so the MUA recommended this.It works wonderfully! So little is needed, and its scent is absolutely marvelous. I think it works best applied after the serum, with ten or fifteen minutes to be absorbed after application before applying the brightening moisturizer. I rub it between my fingers to warm it up and pat it over my cheeks, where my skin can be driest. Immediate results that last. I have combination skin and never thought I'd have any use for MORE face oil than I already generate, but this oil is delightful. Proper placement, application, and amount used is the key. I will buy this again, if the bottle ever runs out.

A few months ago, I received a sample of this product and tucked it into my kit. A few days ago, I started doing some serious flaking around my nose and on my chin so I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did! I went ahead and patted this oil on my entire face and neck and I am simply amazed at how soft and smooth my face is now (and yes, the flaking it gone too!) I have the microfiber of skin - it stays dry and slurps up anything wet. It's always been dry, but I'm coping with medicine-related dryness now. Sahara-like dryness. I buy vast vats of very high quality skin goop, and I trowel that stuff on.I was looking for anti-dryness products that smelled good (honest) and that I could layer on to get levels of benefits that might last longer than The Big Goop.This fit the bill beautifully. I am one of those people who has spent thousand of dollars and countless hours on finding the right moisturizer for my very sensitive, eczema prone, reactive (as in breaking out in welts when it comes in contact with cucumbers...) and always fighting psoriasis face/lips/neck. After only ONE application of this face oil, my skin felt and looked so healthy and relaxed. On really hot days it disappears on my skin almost instantly, NEVER burns, or causes red spots (or welts!). Finally, my skin feels quenched! I've been using this amazing oil on my face and love it, but I recently read that this oil is effective for eczema, too. Wow what an absolutely amazing product! I would bathe in it if I could. I have combination skin but at the first hint of winter my skin just starts to dry up and crack and I get flakes on the sides of my nose and my eyes start to crinkle up. Not the look I'm going for! I'm in my early 40's and still get a pimple or two so I was scared of the word oil but this stuff is a dry type oil and I can even wear this over or under makeup. I had tried other oil products such as Argan Oil but this one is the best for using on the face. The smell is divine and soothing. I am also using a prescription retinol products which can be drying and irritating and the oil helps soothe this as well. This is an amazing product! Love it and all things Bobbi!

Although I LOVE this face oil and i've used it in harsh winter weather when it was really cold & dry, this just soothes and calms the dryness on the surface. You really need to use the hydrating cream or the extra balm to REALLY get the hydration and then use this on top for MORE hydration as needed. Great on elbows and feet! I give a face oil facial at home with this on my cleansed face and put a hot towel over it for 5/10 minutes and you get perfectly moisturized skin before makeup or for bed!

I use it at night after I cleanse my face, one would think this would make me wake up with very oily skin with possibly a few pimples but this adsorbs so well into your skin it doesn't leave a heavy oil feeling at all as one might expect. Its not like a baby oil its leagues better then that. Its a bit pricey but I would recommend it to anyone dry skin or not because it leaves you with such a soft glow. My husband even commented on my skin after I used it on how nice it looked

Living in a very cold, dry winter climate, my skin takes a toll. I have tried every moisturizer to try to alleviate the dryness, but this oil is the only thing that puts and keeps moisture on my face.It sinks right in and doesn't feel greasy at all. No break outs for me at all. Pleasant smell and makes my skin feel great. LOVE this stuff. It's my new favorite product. This will be a staple in my skincare- particularly in the winter.

I never thought I would have resorted to rubbing oil directly on my face, but here I am. My skin has always been dry, but as I have entered my mid-30s, it is progressively more so. Bobbi's EXTRA face oil is like magic for my skin when it is at its worst. I rub a small amount of oil onto my skin after cleansing and moisturizing at night, as well as onto my elbows and knuckles (which are very dry). When I awake, my skin is so soft and supple! The only downside, and the reason for a one-star deduction, is how unwieldy the bottle is. I am always afraid that I will drop my precious bottle of oil, and it can be difficult to get the right amount of product out of it. Perhaps a bottle with a dropper would be more efficient. Nonetheless, I will still by the oil in its current form; in fact, I can't see myself living without it!

I absolutely love this product. I use it morning and night under my moisturizer. I pat it on, including my eyelids, rather than rubbing into my skin. I sometime also pat a dab of the moisturizing oil on over my makeup mid-day. It doesn't' disturb my makeup, just gives my skin a soft dewy appearance. The scent is pleasant and my skin doesn't feel oily. My only complaint is the design of the bottle. It's awkward, cumbersome to handle and has a tendency to leak during travel. BB needs to redesign the bottle by making it narrower with an eye dropper.

Love how my skin looks with this product, very dewey but not greasy. However, the bottle needs a redesign it leaks when I travel and I always have to wrap it with tissue and place in a baggie. Perhaps a dropper like the serum would be better.

I really wanted to love this. I do love the idea. However, the main reason I didn't care for it was b/c of the overwhelming smell of Patchouli. I knew that was one of the ingredients, but I was just hoping it was more subtle. It had to be returned for that reason.

Who would think that an oil would be a good product to put on your face but this is incredible. Being over 50, I have & will always take care of my skin. Can't defend purchasing La Mer right now, went to the BB counter & this was recommended. I LOVE it. Don't be afraid to use this. My skin looks wonderful.
