Finally a matte formula that is not drying. Beautiful range of shades, hopefully this line will stay around. The Creamy Matte lip color delivers full coverage and is easy to apply on the go out of the tube. It wears off evenly, lasted a few hours and felt goos throughout. I initially got the Latte, a neutral brown, nude beige, will check out more colors.

This is a new lipstick formula that is very pigmented, so it covers completely and makes the lips look super lush and full. It has a velvety-powdery finish that creates a soft, romantic look.This lipstick is creamier than you might expect from a matte lipstick, which is very nice... no cracking or flaking. (I found that it's best applied with a lip brush, though, because the formula is soft and it goes on thickly if you apply it straight from the tube!) I purchased two colors-- True Pink, which is a brighter, "candy" pink, and Tawny Pink, which is more of an everyday neutral pink-mocha color.The new tube is sleek and the cap clicks nicely when you close it!

Orange Valencia is a beautiful vibrant wearable red-terracotta-orange. I love the dramatic look of matte lipsticks in the more darker, rich vibrant colors, but usually settle for satin and semi matte b/c I find matte too drying, it accentuates lines on lips. This lipstick feels nice for a matte and its very transfer resistant. It wore off evenly after 4 hrs of eating, drinking, and left an even stain.

This is exactly what I hoped it would be. It goes on like a creamy lipstick, but is a soft matte and lasts for hours. I get tired of applying lipstick and then having to frequently reapply throughout the day and that does not happen with this great lip formula. I bought Latte and it's a soft, natural shade, although just a bit darker than I expected, but still a pretty pinky nude. I'm very satisfied and like it so much that I definitely will buy again in this shade and others.

I've always loved matte lipcolors but have a hard time finding the perfect nude brown (most are usually too orange or too pink.) I was so excited to see the new matte lipcolors from Bobbi Brown, because she has always delivered great nude colors. I had high hopes for this product and was definitely not disappointed! I bought Latte and Warm Beige. Latte is exactly the color I've been searching for! And the Warm Beige is slightly more dramatic, but still wearable in the daytime. Please don't ever discontinue!!!

Color Selection Needs Reworking

I recommend seeing the colors in person before buying. I tried "Tawny Pink" thinking it would be a nice neutral pink, but it is more of a dark brown with a tiny bit of mauve. It looked awful on me (I am blonde with fair skin). I can't think of who it might look good on--it's not a flattering lip color at all. The texture is good, however--not as dry as some matte lipsticks I've tried, and it was easy to apply. Can't say how it would wear because I wiped it off as fast as I could. I would love this formulation in a pink color that was not brown.

I love the look and feel of lipstick. I much prefer it over gloss. And this is a matte, it has a great natural look to it, that doesn't overly shine or dry. It feels moist, but looks like a second skin.I got this in two colors, red carpet and tawny pink. The red is for those oh-so-special occasions, and I love how it looks and feels; the red lip liner completes the look and really fills out my lips. The tawny pink is a great color for me; when I ordered it, I wasn't sure how it would look. I normally get my lipsticks in some variation of the Rose color. But I figured a matte might look better with a more neutral touch, instead of the flush that rose's usually give me. And it looks beautiful! Matches my lips perfectly. However, I will say, if you are of a lighter skin tone, it probably wouldn't work out so well. My skin is a light olive, and the color complements me well.Love this product, and will be coming back for more!

I snagged this in Red Carpet since red is often in heavy rotation for me during the fall and this is nice addition to my collection. After a day of wear my lips are not dry and flaky like some in my collection. And if you're worried about this red looking too "cheap"....no worried because its a red that can be universally worn by all. If you wish to tone it down I suggest applying a faint line of a brown lip pencil and blending it in with the lipstick.

I went to a make-up counter and tried my shade on before I bought it. I'm pretty cook at picking out colors for myself, but wanted to be sure. I bought the warm beige for myself (pale skin) and went with my best friend (olive skin) who bought valencia orange and tawny pink. The colors look MUCH DIFFERENT in person than pictured. As someone who is new to wearing lipstick, I am very happy with this product.

Finally a matte lipstick

I am so happy BB came out with matte lip colors and I hope she continues with other shades. I bought BB's matte lipstick in Warm Beige and Tawny Pink. Tawny Pink is my favorite color in the whole collection. I didn't find the others too flattering against my golden brown skin tone--well, except for one I'll mention later in my review. Also, I'm not a big fan of super bright lipsticks and I found Razzberry, Red Carpet and Crushed Plum way to bright for my liking and all three looked downright awful against my skin tone. The Warm Beige is a very brownish pink color and I don't care for it too much, but when I mix it with another lighter nude lip color it looks a bit better. The exception color that I'm possibly considering to buy, it's also bright, but the color looks great against my skin-- is True Pink. Overall, the matte lipsticks are long lasting ,very moisturizing and won't dry your lips. However, I would like to see deeper and richer shades like a dark chocolate cherry or a black raspberry color.

Pale Peach is sickening color

I really love the way this lipstick goes on. However, the pale peach is a sickening yellowish color in my opinion. Nothing like its description. I also purchased the latte which seems true to its name. However, even though I hated one color as mentioned above, I still ordered two more colors that I'm waiting to receive. I only did this because I like the consistency and the look of this lipstick so much. However, I did have a difficult time deciding on the two new colors since most of them do not interest me.Color choices is the reason I'm giving the product only three stars.I hope I like the two new colors. Bobbi, I think you need to re-think the colors of these lipsticks.

I've been eyeing out this formula for a month now and I just had to try it. I purchased the color True Pink and for my light-med, yellow undertone skin, this color is my everyday pink. I don't rub it on I just tap it on and the color is so pigmented. I love how, although the formula is matte, it's not drying. I am looking to purchasing more in the future. I purchased my lippy at my local Nordstrom. It's best if you try the color out in person. The color actually lasts pretty long without drying your lips.

The lipstick itself is everything it is advertised to be. For a matte, it is very creamy. Application is lovely, staying power better than average. The reason my rating is lukewarm is that all three of the shades I tried - Peach, Warm Brown, and Heather Pink - look absolutely awful - dead and flat. Very 1990's. I chose the colors one by one with the help of Bobbi B. makeup consultants online - they were very helpful and in my opinion made the correct recommendations based on my appearance, but what I got in the mail is vastly different than what is described/pictured. I'm too busy to bother with returning these, so I'm going to eat it financially, but save yourself the trouble and test at a counter before ordering. And please, BB, go back to the drawing board with colors!

This is my favorite lipstick formula. It is lightweight and does not feel like I am even wearing any lipstick. But the color stays put even through several hours. It is not moisturizing but I have not noticed that it is particularly drying (I tend to have dry lips too). I have tawny pink which is a neutral medium pink that goes with everything. I just had to try out Red Carpet because I was so thrilled with the coverage and color of Bobbi's Lip Color in Red and Hollywood Red. I was amazed and thrilled with this gorgeous shade of red as well as the super staying power and beautiful saturation of color. This may be the best red lipstick ever! Even though it is matte, it is very very creamy, not drying at all. It could be worn for daytime or as a great evening lip color.

It does not last 8 hours, but it holds for more than 4 intact, and up to 6 like a pretty lip stain, at least on me. I have Calypso, a beautiful coral-red, and plan to get it in other shades soon.

Not typically a red lip lady..i live in nuetral gloss. When i saw this red= HEART, and I tried it on one of the people at the counter stopped as they were walking towards me and told me that that was the best she had seen this color look on anyone that had tried it on! She kept staring at my lips and then went and put one aside for her to buy later! I wear almond foundation and a neutral eye with this when i rock it. I wear it DAY or NITE and with jeans or a suit! I LOVE IT! Dont be afraid, this is the perfect red, PERFECT! Its creamy not too drying and wears well day. I even like the way it looks at the end of the day...i wear this with my hollywood red liner. (red lips have to be precise, not messy so i use a liner to make the lip perfect!) Im going to buy the pink tommorrow!

I love the formula of this lip color-it's matte yet not drying. I have fair-skinned with cool undertones, and I have both "razzberry" and "true pink". The colors are beautiful and true, and they lasted for several hours. I love that the formula is full-coverage and opaque, but unlike any other matte lipsticks that I have tried in the past, my lips never felt dry or crumbly. I hope to see the range of colors increase as the seasons change!

This is great lipstick, won't dry out your lips and def has staying power. I will def come back for more colors. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I got this is Heart, the red is fantastic but I was looking for something that was a little less bright (it's in no way wild, just a vivid red). Online the color looks like a duller red. I still like the color on but I'll only wear it on certain days.

pros:

I was happy to try this product, but probably would need a longer lasting brighter color next time. This is so creamy I seem to lick it off. It is moisturizing.

pros:

love matt lipstick love love bbs matt lipstick better than any the colors are beautiful creamy and vivid so by a light appication to a more deliberate appication i can control the depth of color for any occasion. i now own the jenna calypso warm beige and the red carpet covering a full spectrum for all occassions and i know theywill give me more staying power in the warm humid months ahead. outstanding bb is the best

Shades Pale Peach and True Pink were a chalky mess

pros:

I'm reviewing 2 shades - Pale Peach and True Pink. I ordered these online, and was expecting them to be as great as the Creamy Lip Color which I love. These were chalky, heavy, and flaky on my lips. They don't even look that matte. They are more of a cream formula that is just too thick. I am returning them. I wanted to love these, but there are better matte lipsticks out there.

Fabulous matte (yet nourishing) formula that I've been trying to find ever since my favorite Shiseido formula/color was discontinued over a decade ago. The new "Heart" shade is a superb, everyday wearable bright color that works beautifully for those of us who don't necessarily look good in browns and neutrals. Immediately went back for a second -- one for the house, one for the purse, don't want to be without it.

Long Lasting Lip Color!

What a great lip color! I was a little nervous because pink isn't a color I usually go for but I decided to try it and boy did my face pop! the pigment is really true to form. I went for "Pink Lilly". I work retail so it's important I wear something that lasts me a long while so I don't have to reapply much with the matte finish I get 8 hours plus of amazing coverage.

This lip color is serious color that won't budge!! It not only stays for hours, but will not look cakey nor dry! I love putting it on and layering a tiny bit of gloss... and it's feels delicious. I teach, so I'm talking a lot! So, when I glance in the mirror around noon,my lips has a stained look, with no color floating above my lips. It's just a natural tint that will look great until I reapply!It's like magic!!!! Try it and you'll see!!

I have been searching for a red that would work for me. So grateful to BB having a lady chat with me to help me find the correct color. I love the red lip for evening and nighttime looks, but unfortunately I have been unable to find one that worked well for me until now. It is one of the creamiest lipsticks I have tried and I love it!

I have always loved lip stains, however, they are usually drying and cakey. This lip color is the best! Beautiful long wear matte coverage without an ugly dry look combined with a moisturizing easy application.

Nice creamy lipsticks that have staying power but do not dry the lips out. Love this formulation. Will purchase again and again.. This with a lip liner from Bobbi to match is perfect for a long evening, no rings on glasses.

I have Razzberry & True Pink. I really like Razzberry but True Pink, not so much though. It is too light on my yellow/fair skin. But the texture of these lipsticks are creamy yet matte and it stays on ALL DAY!! I have to re-apply my lipstick and gloss numerous times throughout the night but not with this one! I am about to go purchase more colors because it's rich in color and moisturizing with staying power without drying out your lips!!! I just LOVE IT and you will too!
