I love the feel of this foundation. It goes on smooth, blends well and has antiseptic in it...but, the coverage is more light to light-medium. I have some dark spots and the foundation really didn't cover then without concealer and it still showed through some but the end of the day. Lasted me about 3 months with daily use. Great product, just may not be for my face.

Perfect Foundation!

This is the best foundation Bobbi ever created! I have very oily skin (and yes, I use the appropriate skin care). The previous formula of this foundation did not hold up on my skin at all, and was very disappointing. This foundation however, is AMAZING! It has a medium coverage, beautiful natural matte finish, looks like skin, and wears like steel! I do still use my blotting sheets once or twice through the day, but this foundation stays in place and looks fabulous from morning till night! My face looks flawless with this foundation, never looks oily. Also, this foundation looks great in photos! I was afraid it may give a white cast, but it doesn't, it photographs beautifully! I am so happy with this foundation, I hope they keep it around for a long time to come!!!

This is not a bad foundation, it just does not suit my skin. It is very difficult to blend, so there is a tendency to put too much on to fill the gaps. Although it is for oily skins, it looked rather shiny on my normal to dry skin and worse of all, my face was sticky. I don't know why BB discontinued the Natural Finish Long Lasting foundation, which I find much better for my skin. Color wise, make sure you try it all over your face for a good match. I am normally beige, but with this foundation, the warm sand was a better match.

Worth the Wait

I used to wear Bobbi's Natural Finish Long Lasting foundation, which this replaced. The colors/shades are the exact same as the former foundation. I love the coverage of this new formula! Much improved from before although this formula is harder to apply which is my only complaint (a lot "thicker" than before). The foundation really does last all (10 + hours). I would say this formula is a medium coverage compared to the previous Long Lasting foundation which was light coverage. I still apply Bobbi's powder lightly over it which I feel helps the staying power, keeps control of shine and gives the foundation a complete finished look. Give this a try, you will not be disappointed.

Okay, so here goes.When I heard that the old formula "Natural Finish" was being phased out I was beside myself. Of course when I heard this I started getting the wondering eye and checking out other well known cosmetics company's for a suitable replacement. But alas nothing compared to my beloved. So I wore tinted moisturizer and BB creams until this was released. All the while the wait for it's replacement was driving me insane! Fast forward a couple months and enter new "Long Wear Even Finish Foundation" now when this came out I was over the moon and stars once I heard about all the wonderful things it would be able to do. Basically it can do anything and everything except make the bed and cook.I have combination skin (normal to oily) and after trying out two of Bobbi's "suggested" moisturizers (gel cream and vitamin enriched face base) I decided that the Face Base would be my best opinion because my cheeks are drier. This foundation in my honest opinion is nothing if not perfection in a bottle. This will give you even smooth perfected skin. And it looks like your skin. Unlike most matte foundations, this does not look dry or caked on or heavy. It just looks like you have even perfect skin and all you ever get is compliments on how great your skin is. (not how great your makeup looks) This also did not separate and get patchy on my oily-ish tzone, it wore all day long even after blotting and touch ups. It wears all day and your skin stays hydrated since it has shea butter and glycerin in it. And it doesn't rub off on your cell phone or people you hug! (I know a lot of us loved the previous version(s) but Bobbi, please leave this one alone and around forever)

I live in Houston, TX and have finally found a foundation that doesn't melt in this heat & humidity. Even better - I don't even feel like I'm wearing foundation! I wear this all day, and there is absolutely no settling into pores and fine lines (which has always been a problem for me). My skin has a healthy glow when I wear this. Use it over a primer. I also recommend having someone at at Bobbi counter help match your color, if possible, to ensure a truly natural, no foundation look. Don't pass this one up.

Very dry, feels like a Mask

This is just awful; it is difficult to apply because it is so dry and it accentuates every line and wrinkle. I t made me look 10 years older because there is no reflective quality to it. It was very heavy no matter how thinly I tried to apply it. My face started sweating as soon as I put it on and it felt like I was wearing a mask. It doesn't allow your skin to breath at all. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the classic long -wear as an option. I'm sure some people will like this but I'm sure a lot of other people like the older version better. I'm begging you to consider bringing the classic long wear back!!!!!! I'm going to CVS now to get some foundation that suits my skin. This one is just terrible!!!!!

I'm 43 and have been looking for my holy grail of foundation for years. I made a huge mistake of thinking I couldn't use a oil-free formula because my skin was dry. This is hands-down my favorite makeup I have ever tried. I have finally found 'the one'. Natural looking, buildable coverage, kind to my dry skin, and just the most perfect finish. I love this foundation! I was not sure when I heard that the old oil free formulation was being replaced but this is even better. I did have to move up a shade to one level slightly darker.It wears all day- sometimes I apply it at 4AM and don't get to remove it till 10PM. It really lasts.Please make a long wear face powder to go with it.Love BB products- keep up the good work- can't wait for the creamy matte long wear lipstick.

Sticky, uneven finish that feels like a mask

Nothing about it is even finish - it's so sticky and dries so quickly that you literally cannot put it on without having blotchy skin and if you try to add more to the areas where it's uneven it ends up scraping away some of the area that was too thick and which creates circular blotchy spots that you can't even out. Besides that, if you have any pores on your nose or cheeks, the foundation will go inside of them and create a polka-dot look that you CANNOT fix - even by adding more makeup on top.Full explination:Bobbi Brown's Natural Finish, Oil-Free Foundation was recently discontinued. When I ran out of my last bottle I was told that the 'replacement' for my Natural Finish foundation was the new Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation.

First of all, Bobbi has created a foundation color that actually matches my skintone. My journey has been long and arduous in accomplishing this feat! This new foundation is a vast improvement over its predecessor. I have dry skin with oily surface in addition to acne. This foundation helps to even out my oiliness and does not aggravate my acne. The color does not change as a result of my oiliness. I do find that this foundation glides on better with a primer.

This review is for the older version of the foundation (purchased last summer), so may not be so applicable anymore. Overall I'm happy with this product. Easy to apply, not too thick, and stays on pretty well even with my oily complexion. I like how the bottle is a pump so I don't have to worry as much about getting contaminants or my own skin to mess up the formula over time. The product keeps much better. The color is good, quite close to my skin tone. I have to say it still throws me off a bit though on first application since it goes on lighter but then blends into your skin tone after a few minutes.

I love the texture, coverage and the truly long wear of this foundation. My only problem is that I am pale with yellow undertones. During the 1990's and early 2000's the porcelain shade was perfect. Now it shows up on me with a slight pink tone. When the alabaster shade developed it seems that some pink was added to porcelain too. The warm ivory is good for the yellow tone but is a shade too dark. The porcelain runs slight pink regardless of the foundation formula. I am sad cause this formulation would have been my HG foundation.

I've been a long time fan of the Natural Finish foundation, but the new Natural Finish foundation is TERRIBLE! I have always worn Warm Sand (2.5), but the color in this new formula is completely different. Furthermore, this version is much thicker than the last version, so it ends up looking cakey (even though the description claims it doesn't). Please, Bobbi, please bring back the old version. It was significantly better!

I used the Natural finish foundation for a very long time. IMO, it was the perfect foundation. Unfortunately, BB discontinues the foundation and replaces it with the Long Wear Even Finish. Within 2 hours, I had to reapply. I am so disappointed. BB is the only foundation I have ever found to match my skin tone, but there isn't a foundation that I don’t have to continually reapply. It seems like all of BB oil free products make me oiler. This formula is better than the one it replaced, but still not longwearing. It feels like it never actually dries on your face, or adheres to your skin. It does make my skin look amazing though. It looks natural (with the exception of way too much shine). I think it's just not for me.

Natural Finish was long wearing and great for combination skin, I imagine this would only be good on super oily skin. I struggled trying to use it for a few days with different combinations of moisturizers, but it ultimately was returned. I'm in the process of hoarding every bottle I can find of Natural Finish in my shade from various online retailers while I try to find another foundation that will work for me.

Warning - New Formulation Is NOT the Same Color

The new formulation changes the color of the foundation. For example, I am a dark-skinned African-American woman, and I wore the Natural Finish Long-Lasting Foundation in "Almond." The color was perfect, and had cinnamon undertones to match the cinnamon undertones in my skin. The "Almond" shade in the new formulation is not the same color as in the old formulation - the new formulation is a lighter shade and no longer contains the cinnamon undertones, but instead has golden undertones - which makes my skin look ashen. To get the cinnamon undertones, I must go to a darker shade, which is TOO DARK. Soooo disappointed because I love Bobbi Brown and I thought I'd finally found a foundation for dark skin that complimented my cinnamon undertones, but now she's gone and changed a good thing!

Years ago I searched for the perfect oil-free foundation. I spent a fortune but finally found it. It was Bobbie Brown, Natural Finish Foundation. Perfect. Unfortunately this product has been discontinued. I bought up as many bottles as I could find, but I have finally run out. Last week, I bought a bottle of Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation after hearing from the salesperson how it was so much better than Natural Finish. I have tried it. I hate it. It goes on thick and makes my face look dull. And HOW is it not "cakey" and "masky" looking? Although it is definately "Long-Wear": I cannot even wash it off. I thoroughly wash my face and the foundation comes off on the towel. Ugh. Now, I am back to square one in my search for the perfect oil-free foundation unless there is some possible chance that BB will bring Natural Finish back. Please, please, please.

This foundation was a huge disappointment for me. Natural Finish was my BB foundation before it was discontinued and worked well for my oily/acne prone skin, after switching brands for a while I figured I would give BB another shot. This foundation is horrid, it's thick and feel really tacky on your face; for some reason perfume was added to this formula and the smell is overwhelming; the color is also off compared to Natural Finish so make sure you get color matched by SA. After wearing it for two hours the only thing I wanted to do was wash my face and get it off. I gave it another chance after a few days and wore it for a whole day with the same result. I sent it back for a refund. Awful!

I am 50 + very oily, large pores. I have tried every foundation I think that has ever been made since I was a teenager with acne. (which stayed with me until the last year, even under dermatologist's care). I tried this foundation actually after I had used up another well known oil free that made me look old, and accentuated my oiliness and the fine lines I have. I didn't know what to try next, but hadn't tried Bobbi Brown before. So why not? I was somewhat hoping because of the consistency of the Oil-Free Compact foundation that that would be the best product for me, especially because I have had liquid foundations settle into my few fine lines and not flatter my skin. Samples from my favorite department store by a Bobbi Brown rep were what helped me make the decision. I really did not think that I would like the Long Wear Even Finish Foundation at all. I wasn' t even going to try the sample! It is absolutely incredible!! I love putting it on because it makes my skin look so good. Covers my pores, smooths my skin, no settling in lines or yucky feel. My face feels clean and fresh when I wear it. Even if I am having an oily day, which by the way has lessened since using this product...seriously. I bought the Warm Sand 2.5 and Soft Sand in the pressed powder which is also just FABULOUS and works so well with this foundation. I used to have to reapply make-up two or maybe three times a day and it never ever looked this good! I honestly feel that I look younger and have almost flawless looking skin which I don't think I ever had even in my 20s! Thank you Bobbi Brown for this Remarkably Wonderful Foundation..it is PERFECTION on my skin..I am so very happy and confident now. I glow too!

Foundation that makes my skin look like skin. I have normal/combo skin. The Almond shade is the same as other formulations. I use the foundation brush to dab on my skin imperfections and then lightly blend the rest over my face. I set it with Golden Brown sheer powder with the powder brush & I'm done. Great natural coverage for my skin imperfections that lasts all day. I recently tried another brand that tried to make foundation shades for all skin tones. My face was 3 shades darker & masky. I had to return to Bobbi Brown for that fresh, natural foundation that lets me look like me. Love it.

Why didn't you just add it to your line, and let us loyal customers still have our Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation? I have used your cosmetics from the very first days you started your company. You probably don't remember me, but I was one of the many woman who waited in line at Saks to have my colors done by you, yourself. And what a job you did. It was perfect. For the very first time I had make up that enhanced me, but still let me be me, only better. People saw me, and not the make up. And believe it or not, I still am wearing the same colors to this very day, more than 20 years later. But it looks like you have ruined the foundation of our relationship. Bobbi, I don't know how to tell you this, so I'll just come out and say it. I am breaking up with you. I know we've been together for so long. You were there with me every single day, and on the most happiest and special days of my life. I thought I couldn't live without you. But, I must. I lost my trust in you because you took away my Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. Gone are the days when I used to get compliments on my skin, from much younger women no less. Gone is my confidence. This new Long Wear Even Finish Foundation doesn't match my skin. I tried 6 different shades. It doesn't spread. It doesn't sink in and disappear. It doesn't have a yellow base. It doesn't wash off easily. It doesn't make my face look bright, but makes my skin look dull and sallow. It doesn't even come close to being better than your Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. Finally One That Lasts!!!

I was skeptical about this when it came out and especially when I read other reviews. I have used Bobbi foundations for years and always trade back and forth between a few. I've never been truly happy...until now!!!! I need quit a bit of coverage and it covers beautifully! I use the BB cream underneath as my moisturizer and then the foundation. I have used a BB tinted moisturizer in the past but as i'm approaching the big 4-0 i feel like i need a bit more coverage so i purchased this a few days ago. having never really had luck with finding the perfect shade for my neutral yellow complexion i was hesitant that i would find the perfect shade. Well...I did thanks to the very helpful sales woman. Bobbi does a fab job training her staff.It is long wearing like it claims to be and the coverage while medium is very natural looking. A little bit goes a long way. The end result is a bit dewy without being shiny and the perfect amount of coverage to give that flawless look. My favorite part is that it stays on and i don't need to reapply mid afternoon. A wonderful product all in all. The down side is that i'm now tempted to go online and purchase more BB products:) Try it-you'll love it!

I usually don't take time to write reviews on anything, but I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed with this foundation, so I decided that I'd voice my opinion on this. I used the old oil-free formula for years. I loved it! It was perfect for me, and I read that many other costumers loved it as well. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and that was the only foundation I could use and not have break outs. After she discontinued the old miracle solution I tried this new stuff, and it was a horrible, terrible thing! I completely agree with all the other dissatisfied costumers...the formula is caky, sticky, icky, yuky, just all around GROSS! I wore it to school and had to leave early to get home to wash it off my face. I developed a few acne bumps in the few hours I had it on my face. I've been so upset that such an awesome product has been discontinued, but luckily I've found a new product at a different company that I love. It's a shame that Bobbi took such a brilliant product off the market. I'm so upset that I'll probably stop using all of her products (at least for a while) out of frustration. Good luck to all the other unhappy costumers who have been left to the wolves on this one. To the others who are still willing to try it, I hope you have better luck.

Im almost 40 w/ a very oily t-zone and large pores and some redness due to to much retina a . I was looking for a foundation to help me with the flaws i mentioned above . I have a very oily t-zone and constantly have to blot it and reapply powder several times a day. This foundation controled the shine/oily t-zone much better then other foundations ive used. I only have to apply powder only once a day now , instead of multiple/several times a day . It also has good coverage thats not to heavy, covers redness not completly, but enough. Goes on pretty smooth but only if skin is smooth, so exfoilate often. I have to mix two shades to get my perfect shade, porceline w/ warm ivory. It dosent feel heavy and smells nice,fresh. Only negative, its pricy, and have to buy two to mix to get the perfect shade. But if you can afford it, its worth it.

I have been using Bobbi Brown's Oil Free foundation for 6 years or so. I have transitioned between her different formulations without too much trouble and have always liked them and felt confident wearing them. This foundation has completely disappointed me. The fragrance is so strong and makes me nervous for my sensitive skin. I started using Bobbi Brown's Oil Free foundations because I have acne prone skin ahd her oil free formulas never made me break out and naturally covered any trouble spots I had. This is the first formula that I feel actually EMPHASIZES my problem areas, even though I barely have any now. It is very difficult to blend and doesn't sink into the skin in any flattering way. It claims to be hydrating and comfortable but feels completely dry on my face. The previous formulations were matte also but not so extremely dry like this one. Terrible. Due to this new formulation I'm going to switch to another brand for a better foundation. This is very disappointing because I have always liked Bobbi Brown products but I feel that this foundation is all wrong and doesn't take into consideration people with sensitive and acne prone skin that Oil Free foundations appeal to.

Hate it... Bring back Natural Finish!

Let me start by saying that I have such a difficult time finding foundation that truly matches my skintone. I usually have to use a 6 and a 6.5 to create the perfect shade of 6.25! However, I finally found the perfect fit in Natural Finish (Golden).Only to discover that my new found hope had been discontiued. So, I tried this new long-wear finish... Hated it! It was very thick and not at all fluid in movement. It made my brush really sticky! It was also hard to clean the brush after use. It seems like all of the best products get discontinued... WHY?!?! I love Bobbi and won't consider another but, I do wish that you would keep the good stuff around. Have you ever considered making a color 6.25? Also, please bring back lip tint in the squeezey tube permanently! Thanks

While I'm a big believer in taking the best care of your skin that you can, which means shielding it from the sun at all costs, I still prefer foundations WITHOUT SPF. Reason being, I like to use my own SPF for my sensitive skin since I'm prone to breakouts. Having tried almost all of your foundations, which I absolutely love formula and color wise, especially the Long Wear Even Finish Foundation, I tend to breakout with them now since the added SPF due to the mixing of sunscreens. If only you offered them in versions with and without SPF, that would be a dream come true! There are many people that struggle with skin sensitivity to sunscreen to begin with and when they do find one that works, they want to stick with it...and only that sunscreen...not some unknown one added into their make-up. Unfortunately, I have to leave the foundation end of the line since my skin can't tolerate two different sunscreens fighting each other. I am a HUGE fan of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and have been an avid user for many years, but sadly I can no longer use the foundation. I will absolutely continue to use most, if not all, of the other products. But bye, bye to perfect skin :(

I thought I found a foundation to last a lifetime when I found Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. It was perfect and well worth the high cost. I recently found out it was replaced with Long Wear Even Finish Foundation. Why fix something when it's not broken? The new formula has a scent, it's thicker, harder to apply, and feels heavy on my skin. I also notice my skin feels itchy near my jawline. Worst of all, it doesn't seem to last all day like it's predecessor. Bring back Natural Finish!

I have such a difficult time finding foundation that truly matches my skintone. I finally found my perfect shade from Natural Finish shade 4.5 back in 2007 after I had been trying several difference brands, and it was the best one.I have been using Natural Finish since then.After they discontinued and replaced it with the new one, I gave it a try since I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown products. But sadly, I have to say this new one was very disappointed. It has a strong menthol scent. The texture is a lot thicker than the old one and it's harder to apply or blend. Shade number 4 is too yellowy and darker than the old one. Not to mention about shade 4.5 in the new one, it's way too dark for me now.Please bring back the previous one. It had better shades. I really don't want to start looking for a new brand that matches my skintone again.

As with many other reviewers, I agree that the Natural Finish was a superior product and covered, well, more naturally (smoother, better color match etc.)This product does cover but has a more cakey appearance and the shade is slightly duller than the Natural Finish. It takes a bit more time to blend, but you can get a pretty good look if you take your time. It's also a little harder to blend because it is a thicker foundation. I used the Natural Finish for my wedding and had great photos. I think the Long Wear would make me look duller in photos rather than more put together.Bottom line, I wish Bobbi Brown would bring back the Natural Finish, but the Long Wear does work.

I have been using the Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation for a long time and loved it. I was so upset to find out it had been discontinued. I bought the Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation and absolutely hate it. It has a terrible smell and does not go on smooth. Also, my face keeps breaking out. I will no longer buy this product and will try to find another company that makes an oil free make-up that does not cause acne. The Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation is the only make-up I have been able to wear that did not cause break-outs. Please bring it back!!!! I don't understand why Bobbi Brown would get rid of such a wonderful product. I normally don't comment on products, but am so dissatisfied with this new foundation that I wanted to let other consumers know about it. It is terrible!!!! Don't waste your money!!!!

Now it's gone and has been replaced by this new stuff, which is entirely different than the old. I have extremely oily skin. So I was apprehensive to try after reading the ingredients and brought the illuminating powder instead, but when people reviewing said this was too drying I thought great, maybe this will work, because I was I search of a liquid also.I'm usually shiny within the hour, and have to blot several times a day but with this it feels dewy and soothing, then goes from a matte to natural look before the shine takes over so I only have to blot maybe twice. I' m very pleased, and I like that this has a pump but think the shade would work better for me over the summer months, as I lose a little color in the winter the next lighter should would probably be best, so that's my only gripe the color in the illuminating powder is perfect year round, versus liquid which is a slightly different color.

If you have been using Bobbi Brown's oil-free foundations for as long as I have (going on 12 years), you know right off the bat you're getting a high quality cosmetic product that's going to work as well as it's reputation. I just received and tried this new Long Wear Even Finish Foundation in Beige for the first time and it works pretty well so I don't understand all the negative comments from half of the reviewers here. It seems that the previous version, Natural Finish, was a staple for individuals wanting a matte appearance and medium to thicker converge, and it did the work, but this new version works even better because it goes on even more smoothly because of it's thickness. I didn't read the reviews until AFTER I purchased this foundation so I can say that I would have still tried it just to find how good or bad it really is. And I can honestly say it's the best oil free liquid foundation Bobbi Brown has come up with to date.

It blended easily, was light, and looked natural. This foundation is nothing like it!!!! It is heavy and difficult to blend. It lays on the skin and does not look natural. I have tried so many foundations from all the drugstore brands because I didn't want to spend the $20-50 to get foundation at a makeup counter. This foundation is totally worth the money. I've only had it for a couple days, but the color matches me perfectly, the concealer I got to go with it blends great with this. I'm a teacher and usually my makeup will dissipate by the end of the day, even with a primer underneath and a powder on top but this has completely fixed it. I put it on in the morning and it lasts until 6 pm. love it.

I have worn this foundation for years but the formula has recently changed and it is a major disappointment. It's now so thick that it's difficult to spread, even with my foundation brush. It's also so thick that is collects in and accentuates every line on my face. I've tried wearing less but, like I said, it's so thick that it won't spread. It's the consistency of mud. I will be returning it this week. Sad to lose my favorite foundation. Oh and long wearing??? Yes, definitely. It barely comes off with cleanser and make up remover.

THE KEY TO LIKING THIS FOUNDATION IS TO APPLY WITH FINGERS AND NOT A BRUSH. IT'S TOO HEAVY WHEN APPLIED WITH A BRUSH AND TENDS TO FEEL STICKY. WHEN I USED MY FINGERS THE COVERAGE WAS PERFECT/FLAWLESS. YOU MUST ALSO APPLY POWDER TO SET. IT IS HEAVIER THAN THE ORIGINAL FORMULA, BUT THAT'S WHAT I LIKE. I have sensitive skin that needs coverage but because I am only in my early 30's I do not like a heavy look. Natural finish was perfect. I gave the new formula a try for a month and I hated it. What I have found is that my oily areas are more oiler than before and it is harder to apply this foundation. I went to the BB counter to refill my natural finish foundation and was told this was the new formula. I don't like it nearly as much. It makes my face feel oilier and I really hate how it gunks up my foundation brush. I expressed this to the artist at the counter after a couple of months of use and it seems to look a little better on since she told me to apply it with my fingers and finish with a brush, but honestly, I can't wait for this bottle to be out so I can try something different...

I have combination skin with the typical oily T-Zone. I tried the regular foundation and found it didn't last all day. Switched to the long wear and it lasts a full 12 hours. I apply using the foundation brush and over BB Moisturizer. Love it. It does have a faint smell, almost reminds me of Noxema from my younger days but after a minute or so I don't smell it any more. I love this foundation. It's perfect for my combination skin.

I have never used the "natural" foundation that everyone is comparing this to.I've also never tried a BB foundation because I thought her "every foundation must have a yellow undertone" theory to be odd. I have very cool-toned, pink skin, and have always chose a foundation w/ cool undertones. But I LOVED her other products and I had some online chats lately w/ BB MUAs for advice on my OILY skin, and they kept recommending this foundation. They also recommended that I use ONLY the Face Tonic AS my sole moisturizer in the am under it; as although the foundation is oil free and meant for normal to oily skin, it DOES have moisturizing properties, and to add a moisturizer besides the tonic under it would give me the greasies.I am about an NW 25, pretty medium. i was a perfect match to Warm Beige. this stuff literally disappeared into my skin. The yellow theory: I'm now a true believer. This stuff cancels out my redness, matches my skin to my under eye accoutrements which are yellow based, and seamlessly blends into my neck and chest. WOW!!!! is all i have to say on the color match and yellow thing.I did not find this to be at all too thick, or heavy. It IS quick drying though so I'd suggest working on sections at a time. So far I've just used my fingers to apply, and when done, i did this "patting" warming technique which i found KEY for even, natural looking application. i do NOT take this up to my lower lash line since the MUA said only concealer should go there, so lately I've been putting on the corrector and concealer first, then blending my foundation up to it but not over it. My pores DISAPPEARED w/ this stuff. My skin stayed semi-matte. did not transfer or melt off. What more do I ask of a foundation? nothing. This is hands down the best foundation I've tried and boy have I gone thru 'em. I love this product! I've read some negative reviews but I don't agree. I use foundation to cover my flaws which unfortunately are many. I have acne scarring, pigment and a reddish undertone so when I use this my skin looks flawless! It lasts all day. I do get a little shine which I'm not crazy about but I've had compliments on my glowing skin. Try for yourself. I think it is the best BB foundation yet!

Long Lasting, more Coverage

I was a loyal Natural Finish user, and just recently ran out and purchased this foundation.1. This is a medium coverage. I would characterize Natural Finish (old foundation) as light. It may be too strong for Summer.2. I always use my fingers to put on foundation, and find that this foundation spreads evenly this way.3. Though BB doesn't do "matte" finishes, this is the most matte foundation I have found of BB. Natural Finish had a "shinier" finish.4. There is a strong chemical scent, which I've never experienced with foundation before. I don't like it, but I don't smell it after applying it. It loses a "star" for this.5. Very long lasting, more so than Natural Finish.6. Color does not oxidize (this is why I pay more for BB foundation, as opposed to other foundations). I found Sand 2 to be the same shade as it was in Natural Finish.Overall, a good foundation. I like that it is more matte than natural finish. I wish it did not have the scent, and that it were more light/medium than medium coverage.

Stays On Till Midnight, Still Looks Fresh

I LOVE this foundation. I have tried the Skin foundation and the spf 25 Extra foundation and this by far is my favorite!! One, because it feels incredible going on, Two because it looks fresh ALL DAY and into the NIGHT, and Three because my skin looks better and better after every use of this foundation. I have normal to dry skin and it makes my skin glow. I am 41 years old and Never Ever recieved a complament on my skin until this. I am telling you this makes me look like I don't have anything on, just awesome skin. Which I do NOT have awesome skin, I suffer from redness and occational breakouts. This covers everything without looking like I am wearing anything. One more important thing you should know: When I ansewer my phone my make up does NOT rub off on my phone. Also, I use my fingers to apply one area at a time, it feels light and creamy at the same time, kinda like velvet. Use very little, one pump usually does my whole face, but you can go back over places that need a little more coverage by using a little more. I put one pump on the back of my hand then use my fingers to apply to my face...just fyi.

I finally found the foundation that actually does what it claims to do and what foundation should do. I've tried MANY brands of foundation, but I finally got around to Bobbi Brown and I'm definitely happy I did. I was hesitant to purchase this foundation because of the reviews. Once I tried it on, I was glad I made my own judgement about Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation. I have many dark blemish spots and some slightly faded ones. This foundation covered everything with the help of a dot of concealer on one stubborn spot! Not only did it cover my imperfections, but my face looked smooth and flawless for the entire 8 hours I was at work. My skin gets really oily by the afternoon and I have to blot it, but there was no need to blot with this foundation. I'm sure I've found a foundation I can stick with. Now, I'm not worried about the hot and humid Texas summer.

Impeccable finish

I am 49 years old and always looking for a great foundation product. I have fairly good skin with mild pigmentation spots, redness on cheeks and around nose being my chief concerns. While I can get away with light coverage foundations, I prefer a medium to heavy coverage for a more flawless look. My skin is normal with a tendency to being more dry during the winter months.I love this foundation! The coverage is perfect and yet my skin does not look cakey or overly made up. FYI: I typically apply primer before foundation. I find this contributes to longevity of wear and reduces the possibility of oil breakthrough, particularly in the summer. I finish with a light dusting of finishing powder and blend everything with a large angled fude brush. Another positive for this foundation. It does not dry my skin out either. Sometime heavier coverage can contribute to small flaky dry patches on my skin which I have found with other HD type foundations. I have not experienced this whatsoever and my skin feels hydrated and not tight during wear. So count me as completely impressed and happy with my purchase. I have neutral toned light to light medium skintones and chose the colour Sand.

I have never written a review, but felt like this foundation was getting a bad "wrap". If your skin is properly hydrated (I have oily skin, but am using the Extra Repair Balm SPF 25 due it being winter), this foundation will make your skin look perfect! I have some dark spots from sun/hormones, and I barely even need conceal. with this foundation. It stays on all day, and somehow provides fantastic coverage while still looking natural. After over 10-years of looking, I have finally found my HG!!

I am surprised by all the negative reviews. I too was a faithful user of the 'old' formulation, but from the second I put this on, I was amazed at how flawless my skin looked. And I am obsessed with perfect skin. It is definitely thicker, but I just started with less and I can't even feel it on my skin. Different things work for different people though, I just feel lucky that this works for me. Love it. The shade is the same for me as it was for the old one.

At first I didn't like it and so I tried a different BB foundation. The other foundation was not providing me with the coverage I needed, I gave the long wear even finish foundation another try. Wow, a huge difference between this foundation and the other foundation- (1) it has staying power ... No touch up required during the day (2) provides a smooth finish and doesn't settle in the lines, (3) perfect coverage and not heavy nor does it give a mask look, just a flawless look. The key to a good application of this foundation is moisturized skin and a good primer. With both, the application of the foundation is smooth. I too, like other reviewers, was a natural finish wearer, but it was discontinued, so I was hesitant to try this one. I'm glad I did try it, and give it a second try because it's the best foundation ever.

I only bought this foundation because they stopped carrying the natural finish, I am still mourning at that loss. If you are looking for a medium to light coverage- DO NOT Get this! It applies smoothly but it's a lot thicker, although it doesn't feel like it at first you will notice a difference if you have medium to large pores. Where the natural finish was light and allowed my skin to breathe the long wear clogged my pores and my face broke out completely. Unfortunately for me I am so fair (alabaster 00) that I simply cannot find any other brand that will carry something remotely similar to my skin tone- so I remain a Bobbi Brown fan, I just wouldn't recommend this foundation.

It's so unfortunate that this foundation has been given a low rating by those who don't like the change in the formula. I never used the old formula, so I am delighted with this foundation. It goes on very smooth, it's NOT one of those sticky, fast-drying long wear foundations; and yet it stays on just as long as the sticky ones. The coverage is very good, I'd consider it full coverage. Also, it looks very natural. I've tried most all of the high-end foundations on the market and all I can say it that it doesn't get any better than this. Thanks Bobbi Brown.

I just found out that this replaced the Bobbi Brown 'Natural Finish' Long Lasting Foundation SPF 15Although it doesn't take as much to cover up, it doesn't glide on well and sets too quickly before you have time to blend. Also, tends to look cakey on the face no matter how little you use. I hope they bring the Bobbi Brown 'Natural Finish' Long Lasting Foundation SPF 15back. Till then I will be looking for another brand.

I did not like this foundation the first time I used it because I applied it with a foundation brush. For best results, apply this with your fingers. I purchased the Porcelain shade which was a perfect match for my skin. I would describe the coverage as medium. If you are looking for something heavier, the Stick Foundation is amazing. I really like this liquid foundation, though. And the added SPF is a great bonus.

It was suggested by a BB consultant to try the Long-Wear Even Finish, since BB does not make the Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. I really dislike this product! It has a funky smell that is not good, having to use more, and it does not go on smoothly. I have been a loyal BB customer for over 7 years now, and now I am having to shop for a new foundation with a different company that will offer an oil free foundation that you used to carry.Please consider bringing back the Natural Finish foundation!! It would save me from changing foundations and a different make-up line.

The "skin" foundation is good, I really like it because it's the ONLY foundation I've tried (out of what seems like an endless list) that matches my undertone and shade PERFECTLY. Well, my big problem with the skin foundation is that... being an active mom that loves a flawless face from 7am until 11pm or later.... the skin foundation needed constant touching up and just looked bad by the end of the day.When this formula came out I was hesitant to try because of the reviews! But I seriously have NO IDEA where all the bad reviews are coming from! I never tried the old formula, but this stuff is great!!I wore it for the first time from 11am until 4am the next morning (That's 17 hours!!) to a concert. It looked almost exactly like when I first put it on. I was so excited! No touch ups or anything. And it matches my very hard to match skin PERFECTLY, while giving it a natural flawless look that's not dead matte looking. (I have yellow undertones with a lot of blotchy redness around my nose, chin, forehead and some on my cheeks). No cakey foundation, no streaking (the skin foundation starts to migrate or streak after long wear), no anything! I did get a little shine (to be expected when wearing any foundation), just used oil blotting pads once about half way through the time I had it on. I used minimal primer underneath the foundation. Used it in combo with my BB creamy concealer for my DARK under eye area and the tough acne spots. It's more matte than the "skin" foundation, but not dry matte looking. I do have really dry skin though, so this usually helps the durability of my foundation.BUY THIS

Foundation is one of those things like jeans...sounds simple but SO hard to find the right fit!I have no idea what the negative reviews are about...this stuff is great! I bought this on a day where we happened to be having an abnormally warm/humid weather. Plus I had to run around like crazy running errands...becoming "sweaty betty". My face looked just like it did when the very nice sales rep applied it in the store! I never had to touch up at all, and to me that speaks volumes.First lets talk about what this is not: it's not thick...I have no idea why people are saying that. It's thin, just the same consistency as any regular foundation. It's not cakey, even at the end of my very long day I didn't see the normal lines and creases on my face with my old foundation. It's not fake looking, it doesn't look like a mask.OK, now what this IS: It is very thin and lightweight. It IS highly pigmented (maybe that's what people mean when they say thick?) so it DOES cover all of your imperfections. But, that's what foundation is for...if it doesn't do that, what's the point in wearing it? It is fragrance free, thankfully. It looks perfect.I have an oily T-Zone, so I battle having to reapply makeup at lunchtime. I didn't have to touchup or reapply at all yesterday when I was sweating and running like crazy. Even got compliments on my skin for the first time in forever!Much to my surprise, I was color matched at Natural Tan...which I would have never ever pulled off the shelf myself. My advise, go to a store and get a color match where you can get the right shade and try it out!

I love Bobbi products. But I have to say this is the fist of her products that I'm disappointed in. I used to use Natural Finish Foundation in Natural number 4 for a long time. It was the best foundation ever. Max coverage while not looking cakey. When I went to buy a new one, they told me this was the replacement for the discontinued Natural Finish. My first complaint is that I was told "every color is exactly the same;" however, when I got home and compared #4 in this to #4 in my old Natural Finish, this #4 was waaaaay darker. So, if you're planning on switching from your Natural Finish Foundation to this, I'd recommend bringing in your old bottle to the counter with you to ensure colors match up. I took both bottles to the Bobbi counter where the woman saw the major difference and shades and was said "oh, nevermind, it looks like some of the colors didn't translate too well to the new line." So they matched me with the closest thing they could find to Natural Finish Natural #4 which was this product in Sand #2. Then I started using this regularly. And here is my second complaint. I really dislike the formula. It covers very well, but overall looks cakey and feels like a mask. It's took thick for my taste. Whereas natural finish was very thin but still had max coverage, this is very, very thick with max coverage. After a few weeks my face started breaking out and I understand that breakouts can be caused by so many different things, so I am hesitant to attribute my breakout to this foundation, but all I know is this foundation certainly didn't help my skin. I switched to Bobbi's BB cream in Light, which I LOVE. However, I don't love it as much as I loved the Natural Finish Foundation because it doesn't come in very specific shades, so it doesn't match my skin as well. Bobbi, please please please bring back Natural Finish Foundation! It was my favorite thing ever and now I've got to go through the hardest thing ever--finding a new foundation.

I have oily skin, so I was all about the mineral foundations for years. I also never liked the feeling of liquid on my face. However, I am older now and the mineral makeup was starting to look ashy and dull. That's when I realized I needed makeup with a little moisturizer. I went to the BB counter at Neiman's and met with one of the artists who suggested that I try this foundation. I can honestly say that I am a convert! I love the lightweight feeling that lasts even as I'm building my coverage. I need coverage to mask my acne scarring and uneven skin tone. I also like the fact that the foundation comes with a built-in primer. If you have oily skin, I definitely recommend this product.

A poor substitute

I recently went to Bobbi Brown to pick up a new bottle of my favorite foundation, Natural Finish. I was extremely disappointed to hear that it had been discontinued, but the saleswoman assured me that Even Finish was "almost identical, but improved with new technology." Being skeptical, and having very picky skin, I got a sample of Even Finish rather than buying a bottle. I'm glad I did, because it is in no way, shape, or form comparable to Natural Finish. Even Finish is a much thicker, stickier, differently-scented product that left me with a heavy, masky look and accentuated all my pores and fine lines. I haven't tested it long enough to know whether it will give me breakouts, but based on how heavy it felt on my face, I'm not optimistic.I will never understand why cosmetics companies mess with a good thing. I loved, loved, loved Natural Finish and have used it for the last three years with zero skin problems (unprecedented in my life!). I think I'll be looking to other brands for my next Holy Grail foundation.

Need to Bring Back Natural Finish-it was the best!

I have looked for years for an oil free foundation that covered well my large pores and acne scars while seamlessly blending into my skin. The Natural Finish Foundation was perfect. I never worried about the common orange tint that foundations often leave and losing coverage by mid-day.When I ran out recently of the Natural Finish I was told its replacement was Long-Wear. I gave the new formula a try, but it was completely different from Natural Finish: it felt heavy, tacky and sticky. Smelled totally different too. I used to apply Natural Finish with a foundation brush and it was so easy to blend evenly and quickly. Now when I use the brush with this product it gunks my brush with too much product and it takes me longer to blend into my skin.Bobbi, you need to bring back the Natural Finish Foundation--many of your customers obviously feel the same way. It was a superior product!

I was recommended to try this from the girl at the make up counter. I have combination skin, but also battling wrinkles and occasional dry skin. The Skin Foundation was making me oily, I thought. But I changed my moisturizer from the vitamin enriched face base to the gel moisturizer cream and let me tell you, that has made a HUGE difference. So I took back the long wear...don't like it all. And went back to the skin foundation. The combo of the skin foundation with the new gel moisturizer is terrific. Try that if you are having problems with too much oil.

Works beautifully, best if used with a makeup blending sponge. I'm 36 with oily skin and by days end my foundation is separating or gone but this new formula is so much better than the original natural finish. I love the fact that it's got a built in primer and that it's in a gel form so makes blending easier with a sponge. My skin has a nice soft finish with enough coverage but not cakey. This will for sure be my go to, I've used them all from every line you can think of and I've finally found one that I love.

I am a true Bobbi Brown fan, and was THRILLED when she came out with the Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. I have super oily skin and HATE the feel of foundation, so it was my EVERYTHING. She replaced it with the new Long Wear Even Finish, and it just isn't the same. It covers well and it does last, but the consistency just isn't the same. I KNOW I HAVE ON FOUNDATION. I love the feel of Skin Foundation, but it doesn't last as long and doesn't provide the oil control that I need. I'm back to square 1

I was disappointed when I heard my long time favorite foundation by Bobbi, the Long Wear Even Finish Foundation had been discontinued and made into a new formula. I had been using the previous formula for several years and loved it! It provided long wearing medium to high coverage without looking too heavy, had great oil control, and matched my complexion perfectly The new formula is terrible though! An hour after application, my face looked like an oil slick even with powder on. The consistency is too thick and gooey and the shades don't match the old formula. I returned this product and would not ever buy again. Bring back the old formula!!

Beautiful Foundation

As a BB makeup user for over 10 years, I must say this is my favorite foundation so far...and I absolutely love her others -- the foundation stick and the BB cream are great also...so for me to immediately put this one at the top of my list means something! This foundation is not heavy or drying at all -- it is actually very light yet it provides incredibly smooth coverage. And by coverage, I mean it makes your skin look great concealing any imperfections or redness...yet it looks completely natural...it hardly looked as if I had any makeup on at all which is what I prefer. I really like a natural look...and believe me so do the guys! Any foundation that allows me to look natural is what I want. All I can say is Wow for this stuff. It is truly amazing.

I recently received my BB Long Wear Foundation in Warm Ivory and very much excited to use it! My make-up artist used this on me on my wedding day and from then, I switched to BB! This foundation lasted the whole day-- Even better, it definitely worked for my oily skin which kept my skin matte and fresh - looking till night! I paired this with BB Sheer Finish Loose Powder in Pale Yellow-- the result? Perfect! My skin looked natural.. as what BB products promise! It is light weight, looks very natural (which I really love because it didn't look like I was wearing make up), easy to apply and blends well. This product is a must-have!

Love at 2nd Sight

After the initial shock of finding out that my long time staple had been discontinued, at first, I was ready to dismiss the product like everyone else. It seemed harder to apply, and cause little whiteheads at the end of the day. But after a week, I dug it out again and gave it a second chance, and this time I first applied a small amount of moisturizer to my skin. Now it seems that LWEF is actually exactly what my acne prone, finicky skin needs. When used sparingly, it applies creamy and smooth and doesn't dry me out. It remains slightly dewy, natural looking, and has pretty good staying powder, yet I don't have problems washing it off at night. While wearing the foundation, my skin looks flawless. But what's more important, after I wash it off, my skin looks still flawless. It doesn't clog my pores like the Moisture Rick foundation, and it doesn't create flakes like the BB cream. I'm a convert.

Poor Application & Setting

I have combination skin. The foundation is very thick and does not apply well. I tried applying it with brush, fingers, and a ton of blending several times. The way it sets is odd. You don't have much time to work with it before it sets. It accentuated all my flaws. Does not distribute evenly. Very disappointing overall. Not worth the time or money. I recommend Bobbi Brown products for people who only have one type of skin (dry, normal, oily, mature, etc.) it does not work well on combination skin. I should know. This is the 4th Bobbi Brown foundation/coverup I've tried.I desperately wish her products worked with my skin because of the great color range. The color is perfect for fair skinned ladies by the way. This is the only brand that has matched my skin, because I am so fair. I'm color Alabaster 00.I am returning this foundation today.

Worst Bobbi Brown Product I Have Ever Tried

I have been a loyal user of Bobbi's Natural Finish Foundation for years and was upset when it was discontinued. This is the foundation that replaced it and I must say I am highly disappointed. I wear 00 foundation and this new foundation's 00 was too dark for me. Not only this but the foundation had an odd smell. After four hours of wear my makeup looked blotchy and awful. I really hope Bobbi will bring back the Natural Finish Foundation as this one is truly awful.

Why this foundation gets only 3 stars?!

I'm on medicine because of my acne. I'm looking for all the cosmetic that are non-comedogenic(non-acnegenic). This foundation is oil-free. I asked the artists, and she told me that any bobbi's oil-free product is suitable for me. I was glad.This foundation is good! It stays long for all day. It has great color that fits my skin tone. It's not so floating, but easy to apply. Everyone who has acne problems should try this foundation!I love it anyway. :) I might try another brand after this one, but I'm still a big fan of bobbi brown!

Nice finish and works well on non-oily skin

My skin is not oily. In fact it's dry in some places, but this foundation works well for me even though it's supposed to be a replacement for the old Oil-Free Foundation. It goes on best with a high quality foundation brush. The shade was true to its name - I'm the same 3.5 Warm Beige in this formula that I have worn in other formulas. The pump works well. The coverage is great and the finish is demi-matte and gives a naturally perfected look. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because it takes a little extra work to blend.

Bring back natural finish

pros:

Tried it as a former foundation fan of the discontinued BB Natural Finish/OilFree which I've used since it came out. Not even close-it's much thicker and after using a sample, could not wait to get it off of my face. I've been faithful since BB was private, wondering why I can't receive a bit of the same treatment, now that BB's gone corporate. I am so glad BB's found this success but think that discontinuing products with a loyal following belittles the way you achieved the current achievements.
