I am in love with this new mascara. It builds volume and adds length in no time. I can layer and layer and layer it for dramatic effect and it doesn't looks clumpy. It is almost like Everything mascara, but gives more volume and more definition. Of course, great job on packaging- looks like $100 mascara :)

Soft and Buildable

I really like this new BB mascara. I would say that it seems more of a lengthening than a thickening mascara, but the thing that really stood out for me the most was that it seemed to curl my lashes which made them much more noticeable.. You can apply more coats after it has dried without a problem because your lashes remain soft and pliable. I love the fact that there is no flaking or clumping. I would probably wear it every day, even though it's called a party mascara.

The search for the perfect mascara ends here. Most mascaras claim they don't clump, but this one really delivers. It's the first mascara I've ever used that does not require a primer; plus it stays put all day. The packaging is gorgeous and I hope Bobbi continues to add to the Chrome line throughout the year. This mascara does not clump or smear and also removes easily with my usual cleanser. This is one of the most important requirements for me because I have tried almost every mascara out there. If I have to rub my eyes at all to get it off it goes right in the garbage, no matter how great my lashes look. My lashes look full and lush, and stay that way until I take it off. Love it!

I have not been a fan of most of Bobbi's mascaras until this one!!! I NEED mascara that is buildable since my lashes are thin but long....most mascaras flake after they have dried when you try to reapply....BUT NOT THIS ONE!!! I can reapply hours later and my lashes just get better and fuller!! I find that I like to use a base coat for day with just a coat or two.....but for night I can add and add coats of mascara and this one is TERRIFIC!!!

pros:

Let me say upfront that my eyelashes are the pits--stick straight, curl resistant, fine, light, and not very thick. Because my eyelashes are naturally so crummy, maybe this mascara would work for someone else but not me.The main problem I have with the Extreme Party Mascara is that it pulls out the curl I first put in my lashes with an eyelash curler. After just one coat, they droop. Also, I haven't found the product to be buildable in that after two coats, I begin getting the "unilash" look, which I hate.Obviously, I'm disappointed but with better lashes to begin with, this mascara may work for someone else.

This mascara does all that it says it will - lenghtens you lashes and looks wonderful BUT in about 3 hours it has flaked underneath my eyes and even down onto my face. I only use one coat and still have the problem. I've never had a problem with flaking even with the cheap drug store stuff. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed.

You get great volume and length with this mascara without clumping. The formula is gentle and non-irritating and I love the brush. The mascara doesn't smudge and comes off easily with Bobbi's eye makeup remover. My eyes tend to tear and I would just like to recommend that Bobbi make a waterproof version of this product.

I was really pleased with this mascara. I have been able to build it up for a very glam effect with no clumping. However, just a few sweeps is perfect for every day which is how I plan to wear it. I have always had trouble with smudging on my top lids with other mascara brands. So far this mascara is a dream--will be my go to from now on.

Love all of Bobbi Brown's products and I use no other makeup-none whatsoever. However, I tried the new Extreme Party Mascara in the last 2 weeks and have to say I'm disappointed. It goes on clumpy and does note separate the lashes as I thought it would. Have to use Bobbi's Perfectly Defined Mascara after I use the "Party" as a base in order to separate.Still love Bobbi's products and will continue to use all. However, personally I am much better off with the Everything Mascara and the dual wand mascara that was out last year. Bring that back please! I turned so many of my friends on to that. But it was for a limited time. Would much rather any of these than the Extreme Party Mascara.

The first two or three times I used this mascara, I wasn't crazy about it. I went back to using Everything mascara. Then I overheard a makeup artist say that it takes a few day of being in use to let the formula get a little less wet (I guess air gets in it from being opened???) so that it builds fuller, thicker, extreme lashes. So...I tried it again and was shocked. My lashes looked false...gorgeous...unbelievable. I am sold and can't live without it now. I get so many compliments on my lashes now. They are outrageous!

The brush is too dense for me. The tip brings out a glob of mascara every time that needs to be dabbed of onto a tissue and the tip is also flat and wide, not conducive to effective application on delicate lower lashes. I'll stick with my first love, the lash glamour!

This mascara's got some personality. When I first use it, it was watery and the product doesn't seem to grab onto the lashes. I was going to give it a 1 star.I tend to give Bobbi's product a benefit of doubt, and went back to it for a couple more times. Something weird about the formula that once you use it for couple more times, it gets thicker and really does the job!It grabs onto my lashes like magic, and doesn't clump even layer it on over and over.I also have sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses. It's a great product for me... no more itchy eyes!Glad that I give it a chance.

I thought I was happy with the Everything Mascara, but the Extreme Party Mascara is just terrific. It goes on smoothly, doesn't clump at all, can be reapplied multiple times to increase intensity (including hours after initial application) and stays on all day without smudging. I also like the fact that I don't need to use a separate brush to separate the lashes. FINALLY, a mascara I really, really like!

I have never been able to find a mascara that I really liked until now! It really is buildable and most of the time I don't have to comb it after application, it just goes on beautifully! It also has great staying power. The only reason not quite 5 stars (although I would give it more 4.5 stars, but the half isn't an option) is that it has rubbed off a little at the end of the day, but I think that was because I forgot I was wearing eye make up and rubbed my eyes. If I don't touch my eyes, then it doesn't smudge (durhh) and you REALLY have to make sure you get it ALL off or you will have a undereye residue the next day. I have to really go over the lashes several times using the BB long wear eye make up remover. However, I'd much rather do that then end up with mascara under my eyes mid day, which is what usually happens to me.

This is the best mascara I've ever tried...and I've tried a lot!!! It's like a miracle! It is the only mascara that takes my lashes, truly separates them and curls them w/o clumping. Many mascaras claim to do this, but this one is the only one that I've found that really does. The only reason for the 4 stars, rather than 5 is that it is not waterproof. If my eyes water at all during the day, it smears around my eyes. I have to use the Perfectly Defined mascara as a quick final coat to try and "lock" it all in place since it does stay on all day with no smearing, eyes watering or not. This is the only mascara that makes me look like I have false lashes. Just wish it would stay put!

Not What I Expected

I have to say I was and am still very disappointed with this product. Since every Bobbi Brown product I have used is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, I was really surprised this product didn't come close to my expectations. It lengthened fairly well and the color is good but not dramatic. I did not experience volume and have issues with clumping and flaking. The brush did not cover the small inner lashes and every time I pull the applicator out of the tube it is very clumpy, not smooth at all. I don't know if I rec'd an old tube or bad batch but I would not buy again especially for the price.

This mascara is average. Its not bad, but it's not as great as it can be either.The texture isn't that smooth, and looks clumpy on the brush, though luckily it wasn't that clumpy on your eyes.It felt a little heavy though.It isn't that extreme, since I did need to swipe it a couple more times than necessary to get my lash to lengthen. This mascara seems more like a volume mascara than an extreme volume and lengthening mascara.This waterproof mascara stays on well! Even when I was shedding tears at the movies.Though it is relatively easy to wash off too.Most waterproof mascaras require me to almost pull my lashes off to get it washed off.Oddly, the mascara seems to know when to stay and when to go. It stays on when it has to endure through the tears and rain, and comes off easily when you wash it out with face wash/make up remover!

I've tried Bobbi's mascara in the past, and just started using the Extreme Party Mascara.....and I LOVE IT! One coat and you have perfect day time eyes, two coats and you're ready for the evening. It washes off well, lasts, and really lengthens lashes. I've tried more expensive mascaras, and right now this is the best I've found.

I have spend much time and money on trying to find a mascara that I like. A big problem has been the style of the brush, making sure the mascara doesn't flake, and trying to find a non-waterproof mascara that stays on. This product is wonderful! It makes my lashes look fuller, doesn't clump, stays on, doesn't flake and even thought it is more expensive than most store-bought mascaras, it lasts longer. I love it and hope that Bobbi Brown never stops making it.

I generally like natural mascaras. Volumizing/thickening formulas are usually too much for me, but this one is GREAT. The black color is so RICH and gives my lashes real volume, not clumpy coats. I'd never used mascara before because it seemed to be too much of a hassle. So, I tried this one just for kicks. It does lengthen my lashes a bit, and definitely separates, but this is the only good experience I had with it. The first day I used it, I ended up with imprints of my lashes on my upper lid and a clump or two. So, I thought using only one coat would help, but it didn't. For now, I have switched to a different brand on the days I want to wear mascara. Although not completely satisfied, I wouldn't say it was a total bust. I still have to try Bobbi's other mascaras - I haven't written them off just yet.

I went over to the Montclair studio for some assistance and to make sure my mascara wasn't just maybe too old, but it was okay. The sales rep recommended that I swipe the mascara wand with a tissue every once in a while. So far things are okay but at times there is still a little clumping - just not sure why.

I wear it every day, why not. It's not too much for everyday. just use less layers. It's the best I've ever tried and I've tried a lot. I would never have purchased this or any mascara billed as "extreme" or promoted as creating a false eyelash look. But I got a promotional sample, and I love it! This mascara does a good job of creating thick/lush lashes, but within 4 hours I inevitably have black smudges under the outer corner of my eyes (and I don't touch my face at all -- this just occurs from blinking and touching my lashes to my skin, I guess). Perhaps if you have shorter lashes this won't be a problem, for for someone who has naturally long/curly lashes like me, I would highly recommend the "Perfectly Defined Mascara" instead.

Cannot live without this mascara! It is by far better than any other I have tried before. I love the packaging and that’s one of the reasons I love. The chrome is so pretty yet simplistic, elegant and very sophisticated. The brush is pretty small or medium sized but defiantly not too big. The mascara dries quickly but doesn’t fake or look extremely dry like others. This mascara does a great job defining, lengthening and volumizing. It does all of these fabulous things that everyone wants while looking natural. You can also reapply throughout the day, though it does stay on all day, and it looks like it did when you first applied it. It also darkens and makes our lashes super black. You could just use one swipe and be out the door and just lightly touch the bottom lashes. I love this mascaras and is one of the best possible purchases that you could make from Bobbi Brown!

This mascara is soft & buildable as claimed, however, it's not water proof, I have had the problems of having them smudge at my under eyes after some sweatings. It's also making my curled eyelashes become horizontal (flat) the moment I coat it more. It should lift & curl up lashes isn't it? I have to say I really love this product, it creates super volume and decent length. I'm Asian and I have thin lashes, this mascara makes my lashes look really dramatic.To get those really dramatic lashes, u need to let it dry between coats, and it will build up.The only problem I have with this mascara is that, it drys quite quickly.. I mean in the tube!

I really love this mascara! I have very sensitive eyes, and it has not bothered me one bit! I have very long, but very, very thin, eyelashes. So, finding a mascara that is TRULY buildable has been impossible until now. You can put on 10 coats of this stuff and it's like putting the first one on every time! This review would have been five stars if not for the unreasonably small tube in which the mascara comes...it's about the size of a sample. But, I'll still keep buying it.

Awesomely lengthening. Every bit as "super-buildable" as advertised. A very nice mascara in every way. Gorgeous long lashes that look absolutely natural and better than natural at once.I'd tried this for the first time when I received a sample with another order. I even liked the name. The silver metallic tube is cool and the mascara's black coloring is -- well I'll get to that.The only reason I can't give this mascara 5 stars is because the first time I wore it I cried unexpectedly. I pulled myself together in about 60 seconds but I didn't "tear up"; I did not "get misty-eyed" -- I CRIED. Hard. So here goes Bobbi's 5th Star: I was NOT dropped into a coal bin. I was not coated with tar. I was not in an advanced state of decomposition but I DID looked like I'd been on the receiving end of an explosion of something extraordinarily BLACK: From my eyes down into to my neckline I had zig-zagging black tear trails and there was so much black under each eye I was shocked at my own reflectionI laughed hard out loud when I saw myself so maybe that made up for what made me cry. And maybe even the ridiculousness of the moment was helped to the degree of EXTREME ridiculousness just because I was wearing Bobbi's EXTREME Party Mascara. However that sort of extremesis is one I could happily have done without.What might happen to me in the rain?The mess was spectacular. & while the benefits of length & buildability & volume and great color were all there -- that black mess isn't something I'd ever like to face again... literally or otherwise. But I'll definitely buy it again. I live on the edge like that.

A sample size of this came with the eyeliner and cream shadow I ordered a few weeks ago and I knew the first time I tried it I had to buy a full size! I normally don't wear black mascara, usually only dark brown as I'm very fair-skinned, but this is the perfect color! Not too dark but dark enough that it brings attention to my eyes. It wears really well, and never really clumps like other mascaras I've tried. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mascara that's long-lasting and eye-enhancing!

My holy grail mascara

This is my third tube of Extreme Party Mascara. It gives my pale lashes volume and definition without clumping. The only drawback, in my opinion, is that I wish BB would offer a slightly more generously sized tube for the price. I go through this mascara so quickly! I also wish Bobbi could find a way to make this formula water resistant. I would sacrifice some of the flexibility for piece of mind that I won't get sad clown face just from laughing hard or getting a little teary-eyed. Picky, picky, I know! Also worth mentioning that I got the promotion with a sample of Everything Mascara -- so far, I'm very pleased and plan to make it my everyday mascara.

I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Mascara. I've been wearing mascara for better than 40 years and it is the best I've ever used. But when the Extreme Party Mascara arrived as sample with purchase, I thought I'd give it a try.I loved: 1) The great brush that made application, whether one coat or multiples, a breeze. 2) The lush, voluminous look this gave my lashes.That is, 2) applied for the brief time the mascara stayed on. And that's what I did not like about Extreme Party - on me it smudged to the point that after a few hours of wear I looked as if I had racoon eyes.I always use powder to set my concealer and I never have a smudge problem with Perfectly Defined - which is one of the many things I love about that mascara. But Extreme Pary just would not stay put. After a week of giving it a try, I tossed out the sample tube. Not a bad product, it's just not the one for me.

I absolutely loved this mascara when I first got it. The mascara made my lashes look naturally dark and very long, as it covered the tips with no clumping. My lashes were also very soft as if I weren't wearing mascara at all. If I had reviewed this mascara when I first got it, I would have given it 5 stars and would have gone on and on about how much I loved it. So, What Happened? After about 4 or 5 weeks of use, it started clumping so badly I had to stop using it. The last time I used it, I ruined my eyeshadow and eyeliner trying to get the clumps out of my lashes. Also, the remainder on my lashes made my lashes stiff. I did nothing, myself, to cause this. I always keep mascara tightly closed and pull the wand out gently. This was very frustrating, as I thought I had found the perfect mascara. Again, loved it the first 4 or 5 weeks, but once again, What Happened to this mascara?

A Makeover for lashes!

As I've aged, I've noticed that my eye lashes look a bit thinner. A BB Artist suggested I try this mascara. At first look, I was hesitant to buy it because I thought it would look too "fake" and not subtle to wear for every day. I am SO GLAD I tried this product. It makes lashes look NATURALLY long and dark and does a great job at separating lashes. The only note would be to make sure you tap excess mascara off of the wand before applying to prevent clumping, especially if you like a more natural look. Then, if you need a bit more, do the same again. Best to start with a little and add more. I would also suggest getting the BB Long last MakeUp Remover because the mascara, plus the gel eyeliner (which I also purchased) need more than just water to come completely off. But the good news is it stays on all day!

I bought this kind of mascara and my last one was in a heavier metal tube....which I liked for I am a clutz... always dropping stuff and the mascara was always fresh . I received one today....and the tubing is same color but smaller in size and not metal. I do hope that they would reconsider the tubing for this mascara. This is a very nice ...no clumps..mascara ....can put one coat on or 2 coats ...it is the best I haved used so far! I was trying all other drugstore and online stores mascaras ... because of the price...$24.00 ....but I noticed the difference very much! SO I do hope the price stays! That is why I gave only 4 stars. I've always thought I would have to deal with raccoon eyes if I ever wanted to wear mascara. Every over the counter mascara I've tried - waterproof or not- seemed to melt off within a few hours and leave dark smudges under my eyes which I'd have to constantly wipe away. I was given the Extreme Party Mascara as a sample with a previous Bobbi purchase and I now no longer have to worry about that unwanted black smudging! Not only does the brush provide even coating, but this mascara will stay on forever (or at least until any liquid gets near your eyes).

Dysfunctional Reltionship with Bobbi Mascaras

I want to love this mascara.As mentioned in an another review for the Lash Glamour Lengthening Mascara, I am a huge fan of Bobbi Brown but have yet to find a Bobbi mascara that drives me mad with satisfaction.However, maybe I should not say that, because I did once have a brief love affair with a Bobbi mascara, and though brief, I have never been quite able to move on. I had innocently placed an order for lipgloss, the Perfectly Defined Mascara deluxe sample made its way into my online order package. I loved the formula, but I was enamored with the unique brush shape that separated every lash beautifully. When the sample ran out, I returned to bobbibrown.com to re-purchase (and to re-purchase a mascara for me is a rarity). Clicking around on the site, I realized that my new best friend was missing. In a panic, I chatted with Bobbi's online artists and was informed that it had been discontinued. I wonder if she could hear my broken-hearted sobs from across our computers.She assured me that Extreme Party Mascara was the same formula, but I am here today to tell you that it is not. I think it is the brush that I am missing the most, but I do not think that this mascara is 'extreme' or 'party' in any sense of the words. When I am going for a thick, dramatic lash, I want a formula that is much thicker and heavier. This, like the lengthening mascara, I think, is much too dry. Reader should note that mascara is very different for everyone, but anyone looking for a dramatic mascara, this is not it.It kills me to say, but I don't love it. And, Bobbi, if you are listening, there is a sample size version of the defining mascara on sale on eBay for $77.99. We miss it! Bring her back! : )

I am a huge fan of Bobbi cosmetics, but was really let down by this mascara. Within two hours after applying (first curling my eyelashes and one coat of mascara), my lashes were flat and lifeless. A lot of product had smeared off and was under my eyes.An extreme disappointment, especially because I am a loyal "No Smudge" formula user- I'll certainly keep buying that one, but never this one again.

Beautiful Lashes!

pros:

Like a lot of women, I have tried what seems like every mascara out there. I have very wimpy lashes but I don't want an overly dramatic and fake look. This mascara is truly the best I have come across for my fine, thin lashes. It creates volume and some length, yet somehow manages to still have a natural look. It doesn't clump or flake or end up on your cheek or under your eye. For day it is wonderful even though it says "party" mascara. And because it is buildable, more layers can be added for an evening out. It is a very versatile, all in one mascara. Another amazing aspect is the ease with which it comes off. No rubbing and scrubbing the eyes. I think it's the best mascara yet!

pros:

I love this mascara. It does a great job lengthening and defining my lashes. Don't let the name fool you, it does not look overdone when you use it. I use it daily. If I want a more dramatic look I just layer on a few more coats.

Disappointed

pros:

It pains me to have to do this, because I am so in love with Bobbi Brown as a whole, but I do not recommend this mascara. It goes on beautifully and looks great in the beginning, but it flaked after only a couple hours after I applied it. The flakes fell off onto the area beneath my lower eye lids, so I had to continuously brush them off and reapply powder to continue looking fresh. I tried this mascara a few days, and the same thing happened each time. I gave what was left in the tube to my daughters, and they were thrilled to have something BB. I, however, am going to stick with my drugstore brand mascara for now.

pros:

Does not clump, does not flake and yes you can apply as many times as you want during the day without it clumping. I think it would stay on longer if it were made in a waterproof also. It comes off with makeup remover nicely. Almost too nicely for if it were waterproof i think it would stay on the tips of your lashes all day without having to reapply. Overall its the best of Bobbi Browns mascara I have tried yet. Please make waterproof and it would be a 5 star, the BEST EVER. At least on my lashes, everyones I realize is different.

Great Lengthening!

pros:

I absolutely love this mascara! The formula is light but effective at separating and lengthening my lashes. The only thing I could complain about this would be that it isn't black enough! But, with several coats (which do not get clumpy!) I achieve the darker color.

Play it UP or Play it Down

pros:

I love the fact this mascara can be used on a daily basis. It does not clump, not does it rub off.I apply a thin coat for every day use to make my lashes appear thicker than they are. On the occasions when I'm going out for a night on the town, then I add a couple more coats.

Best Mascara!

pros:

I had been using a mascara made by another department store make-up counter brand, and I started to convince myself that all mascara is created equal and didn't need to spend over $20 on mascara. I could just buy it from the drugstore. How wrong I was! Around the same time, I got a sample of Extreme Party Mascara with one of my Bobbi Brown orders. Perfect timing! To be able to compare to drugstore mascara (which I'd already found NOT to be equal) was huge! I was hooked. The Extreme Party Mascara has been my go-to ever since. The lengthening and separating qualities are fantastic. I'll never go back to my old mascaras again!

MELTS IN THE RAINthis mascaras nice it holds up my lashes for a pretty good amount of time, but once its starts raining, or once i start sweating the tiniest bit,,,, its game over.Im gna try no smudge mascara

I bought this one and can say impressed stays on all day doesn't flake and makes my lashes look healthy and full so awesome! And for me I was searching for a good mascara for a long time! Will buy again!
