I absolutely ADORE this product.I am very very picky BUTI got 4 of the colors already. andit is so gorgeous it really pops out the eyes.Also it gives you the "look". Everyone will look at your eyes and fall in love with it.If you use brush it gives more definite look, and if you use your finger its more like base or its softer. It works well with shimmer or metallic eye shadow. And I always have hoped for Bobbi to make Metallic shadows into cream shawdows.I absolutely love it. colors can be mixed together. I love metallic look. and i think this is the best product that Bobbi created.LOVE IT! Its perfect for the fall and winter.It sparkles your eyes!! This stuff is worth it.It worths every single PENNY!

The new metallic cream shadows are awesome! They have a great sparkle to them without being frosty or glittery. Brown stone is my favorite for everyday, but with a little espresso gel liner or espresso eye shadow, a great smokey eye can be created for night. These shadows are great on their own so the sparkle shows through and they wear all day without creasing or sliding off. These shadows are a great addition to my make-up bag, especially with the holidays coming up!

Really disappointed in the metallic shadows

Just a few days ago I saw these shadows at the counter and was excited to check 'em out. I had heard about them online and had high hopes. WOW! What a disappointment. For the most part, the colors in the pot are nothing like what you will see on your hand. I literally swatched all of them and ended up with stripes of glitter on my skin. All but two shades have no base color, so what you are essentially getting is large chunks of glitter that will adhere well to the skin. By comparison, I have the Galaxy cream shadow and that not only has a gray base, but the sparkles are much finer and not disco-like. The SA mentioned that the metallic shadows could be layered over the regular cream shadows or the powder shadows. True, but for the price, I want a little pigment with my glitter. If this product is meant to be an add-on to other eyeshadows, then call it that. I think the term "metallic cream shadows" here is highly misleading and would encourage anyone to check these out at the counter. There were two shades, a neutral medium gold and a violet blue, that had pigment and would be more wearable. However, these were clearly the odd ducks in the group. BB has been rolling out some really terrific products lately, but this one is a huge miss for me.

Logged into to write a review of these after trying them out at the counter & the reviewer NYer below has already written my basic sentiments.These are simply gorgeous little pots of sparkling, metallic jewels in the jars, HOWEVER, they do not look the same once they are applied on the skin due to the lack of base color as mentioned. I still think these are nice glitter cream shadows but the effect from these is not what I wanted from a 'cream metallic' shadow. I really, really wish they looked as opaque and complex on the eye as they do in the pot - they would have gotten 5 stars if so.I too think the Galaxy cream shadow is closer to what I want out of a metallic than these which end up being sheer washes of multi-toned micro glitter. Pretty, just not what I wanted.

I tried this at the counter, when they had just come out. It's a great going out look, but the glitter goes everywhere. When you take it off, the glitter gets on your hands, all over your face, and gets very annoying to deal with. I would definitely recommend trying this out (and trying to take it off) at the counter before you buy it.

Glitter, not metallic shadows

I like these shadows, but the name is a misnomer. They are glitter shadows, not metallic. And while they are fun, I think the fact that they are actually glitter shadows limits their practicality. Of the original 8 released, 6 are sheer washes of color that use tinted glitter to provide the full effect. Two are pigmented bases with glitter: Starry Night and Starry Purple. Starry purple goes dark when applied similar to Violet gel liner - it has a lot of black in its base. Starry Night is a deep blue, also with some black, but I feel the color comes through a little more. I also picked up Black Pearl (#6) which is a pale purple with iridescence. Be careful with where you put the black pearl, because it can make you look like you have a black eye if too heavy! I prefer it on my brow bone.

This shadow has no pigment to speak of, and lots of overdone sparkle. The sparkle landed on my face and in my eyes, seconds after being applied with my new BB brush (which I love!!!). I cannot use this shadow. I will exchange it for another long-wear cream shadow, which I honestly love using and wearing. Just not this new metallic shadow!

I agree w/previous reviews that there is way too much sparkle & not enough pigment for me. I've been using the classic Long-Wear Cream Shadows for some time now & love love love them to the point that I threw away many of my powder shadows. This newer metallic formualtion, although beautiful in the pot, appears different on the lid. I tried applying only on the center of my lid over my other cream shadow for a "pop" but I didn't like the way that looked either. I'll stick to the classic Long-Wear colors & steer away from the metallics, they're just too much.

I tried it in the store, and for those that say there is no color I have to disagree. I had read the reviews so I went into the store thinking I wouldn't like it. I found that it is actually quite versatile. You can put a light layer on and it is very sheer with sparkle (not an obnoxious sparkle) or you can layer until you get a darker color. I bought the black pearl and I love it with black eyeliner and a light layer. I do agree it may not be for everyone but it is very pretty!

I can't tell you how long I've been looking for a product that would deliver a beautiful sparkle to my lid. It's not overdone - it just give your eyes an enchanted quality. I'm not saving mine for parties - I intend to use it every day - I love it, have it in two colors and am going back for more. PS - the sparkle stays all day. It does not end up under your eyes. This is the first product of this ilk that has ever accomplished that feat!

When I went to check these little pots out, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting a highly pigmented color, but I found the majority of these to be rather sheer in that department. The shimmer is beautiful, but I was really hoping for colors I could layer on alone. After experimenting with the various tones offered, I found that some did have a good base color, whilst others did require a shadow underneath to get a color payoff (not just some shimmer on the lid). I would say you should go to the store and check them out in person, because the colors are very different to the way they appear online. I am growing to like these shimmer creams, as I call them. The are great to layer on matte shadows and are perfect for the holiday season.

I've tried two of these: Goldstone and Antique Gold. The Goldstone disappeared on my pale skin. The Antique Gold was a lovely subtle color, which looked great in my bathroom mirror. However, later in the day my 10-year-0ld granddaughter told me I looked like a "disco teenager." She meant this as a compliment, but when I looked in a mirror I saw hundreds of tiny sparkling things flashing out at me. Not my style! A plain kind of metallic would be much preferable for Bobbi's superb long-wear cream shadow.

I couldn't wait for New Metallic eyeshadows to come out. When they arrived, I wasn't disappointed. I always liked that Bobbi's products gives you an opportunity to create different looks and easy day to night transformation. "Antique Gold" is my fav. color from this collection. I use a light layer on the lid with Ivory eyeshadow under the brow bone and Espresso liner for the day look. I always get compliments. It doesn't look "too much" or "over the top". Holiday turn on everyday look. I feel special every time I wear this eyeshadow. For a night out I have created 2 looks with this color: 2 layers of "Antique Gold" applied with brush (recommended by Bobbi Brown) from lash line up to right above the crease, Ivory under the brow bone, "Black Ink" gel liner gently smudged with "Charcoal" eyeshadow. For the second look I also use 2 layers of "Antique Gold", "Sage" eyeshadow in the crease to create the depth, and "Black Ink" eyeliner.

This is really a pretty look. It is very sheer, with glitter , just enough. I apply cement long wear underneath my metallic black pearl and it is very sheer and very light and pretty. If I want a little more depth I apply ash long wear underneath the black pearl. It has alot more pigment and looks competely different. It stays fresh all day, never have to touch it up! Very pleased.

Yes, this is a sheerer formula, and it does have glitter in it. So if glitter is not your thing, this product is not for you. I have no qualms about glitter, and of course, BB does it tastefully! I wear this during the day, and it's also beautiful layered over other LWCS. I have antique gold and goldstone, both beautiful colors that can take you from day to night. And it stays on all day! Amazing product!!

But thats about it. The colors over all are very pretty, but these are way too glittery and almost "Halloween makeup" for my taste. If Bobbi reformulated these and made them "Shimmer Long Wear Cream Shadows" Then I would definitely buy them. OR if she reformulated them and made the glitter particles smaller then yea. Aside from that small gripe, the formula is great they wear just like the regular cream shadows and only come off when ya wash them off. And the actual color (NOT the glitter) is very pretty. Sorry Bobbi, just can't wear these.

I have used this every day since I bought it, got the black pearl color. It stays on all day and looks fine for at least 8 hours. I have used my finger for a lighter sparkle and a brush, most of the time since I like to apply it and have it a look a little darker. I also think with a brush it stays on better. The sparkle is there but, it doesn't look like your ready for a dance contest. The shimmer is so subtle and pretty. Makes blue eyes really pop. Love this Bobbi, wish you would come out with more colors. Can't wait for your holiday collection. I am going back for more colors as this is one of my new favs.

This is the very first thing by Bobbi Brown that I own. I've known about BB for so long I just hesitate to buy because it's quite expensive, and I have never tried one. But for this long wear cream shadow, I just couldn't resist. I was pretty surprised at how small the jar was. But my God, the product IS AMAZING !!!! I love love love it, thinking about buying more and more :) Absolutely beautiful, stay so long - feel like the glitters are a part of my skin, and if you know how to play with colors, this just make your eyes stunning !!! I got this in Black Pearl first. I thought the color was pretty, but for never having tried a cream shadow, i was nervous. I thought i was going to be wasting my money. I was wrong. I love this shadow sooo much that, its all i wear now. I've never had a shadow last so long without creasing. I plan on getting a few more colors so i can mix it up. Well worth the money. It is however VERY glittery, which i have no problem with, in fact, i love it more because of it. But that's just a heads up, if you aren't a fan of glitter. It's flashy without being trashy. I love this shadow. I have it in several colors: Black pearl,Brown Metal and Chrome patina. I use a synthetic bristle brush to apply it and have no problem with shadow going in places I didn't put it. It is definitely not too glittery or sparkly. It's a nice sheer color with a little shimmer to it. it's important to blend well using a brush or your finger so that it looks soft. This shadow stays on all day with no touch ups needed. I will buy additional colors in the future. I adore Bobbi Brown makeup-she has women in mind when formulating all her makeup

Of course I had to try the new metallic colors. The shade of purple in Black Pearl and the gray-gold in Antique Gold are extremely complimentary to my fair complexion. They last all day, which saves time and effort. At my age (51), the sparkle in the Black Pearl was a little more than I'm comfortable with, but the shade of purple is great.

I wasn't going to get this after reading all the reviews on how this product lack pigment. But after trying it in the store, and asking for the make up artist's suggestions on how to use this product, I purchased two of them.You can use the creamy eyeliner to line the eyes, smudge it for a little smokey look, and apply a layer of this metallic shadow on top, matching the color of eye liner you have. Vuala! You have the easiest smokey eye look for night time.Reduce the amount of eyeliner you smudge upwards, with a slight layer of this cream shadow, and you have a great fall/winter day time look.I also find that the colors comes in pairs in terms of matching each other. Some more earthy, some more cool toned. I got the Black Pearl and Starry Purple. They actually look great layering together.The only problem I have with product is that it doesn't really work well with brushes. I find using my fingers much better to manage.Go into the store, try it on with a smudge creamy eyeliner. You might surprise yourself like me!

I don't usually go for glittery shadows, but these are so subtle and rich looking. I always thought that glitter eye makeup was something more appropriate for teenagers, but I stand corrected. I bought the antique gold, goldstone, and mercury, and they are so beautiful with a touch of sparkle without being overdone. The shadows last all day and can be layered to go from day to evening. I apply them with the cream eyeshadow brush and my fingers and they go on easily and stay on. These shadows are gentle and don't irritate sensitive eyes. The colors work well with green eyes, and I have received many compliments. Bobbi is right. The only problem is deciding which colors to buy. They are all stunning.

I bought this product in Goldstone and I want it in every other color! This a a fabulous product because it is easy to apply, long lasting, and looks beautiful. Every time I wear this product someone always asks me what I have on and where can they get it. Every client I have used this product on loved it! It is long-lasting and does not flake like most glitter eye shadows do. Great for the holidays, a night out, or a fun day time look. This product is a Bobbi Brown must have.

I have never been a fan of cream eyeshadow b/c they simply slide off my oily skin. Bobbi Brown has broken the mold with her long wear collection. I love the new metallic version of her cream shadow. You can apply it sparingly for a base or layer on for night. I fell in love with the look of the rich color gloss model. The shadow is dramatic but not too much.

These new metallic shadows are supremely metallic-y - if you're looking for a more subtle shimmer, go with the shimmer cream shadows, instead. The metallic cream shadows work well fro dramatic looks and evening wear. I probably won't wear for the office, though.

Wow, the colors shown online are not-so-accurate! I ordered Mercury and Antique Gold, wanting fun wearable colors for day or night. The Mercury is a very light, super shimmery silver, and I may send it back. it's very pretty, but not quite what I was looking for. Antique Gold is the one shown in the picture, not so gold, but a smoky dark color with lots of gold and other colors of the fine glitter. Very pretty, but haven't decided if it's wearable for daytime or just going out at night. I also got the Velvet Plum Palette, and it is great as well!

i like this eyeshadow: good consistency and wears well during the day (no fading) BUT you have to apply a lot in order to get the colour to show--at least in my case since i am brown/bronzish complected. otherwise, it is a fun addition to my makeup collection and i've been using it a lot during this holiday season. i like the glitter, and i wear it during the day! i also appreciated that the goldtone was true to colour as presented in the online photo--that's hard to come by when shopping online!! i apply it with my fingers because the container is a bit small to dip a brush into.

OK, I read lots of reviews before I purchased this particular product and the bottom line is simple: If you LOVE sparkly things, you'll probably like these eyeshadows. If you do not, steer clear of these. I happen to LOVE sparkly stuff so I am really enjoying these. They are simply stunning! These are for grown up girls who still like to have fun. I bought Antique Gold, Starry Purple, Black Pearl, as well as the cute little Goldstone palette. There is a learning curve involved and I just got these yesterday but so far, these work best as a sheer wash. In order to build up the color, you have to work FAST. Once these dry and you try to build the color, you might pull flakes off the layer underneath. I applied Mineral Dust over a powder eyeshadow. I'm not sure I liked using it that way but I don't think I was working quickly enough. The Goldstone makes a wonderful brow bone, inner eye, center of the lid highlighter. I might need to buy the full size. It's very versatile. I applied these two ways: over bare skin and over an eyeshadow primer. I think I like using the cream eyeshadow brush slightly better than my finger but in a pinch, it's nice to just be able to tap (don't rub) these on the lids. I went a little overboard and put way too much on and my inner eye looked wet because it was so sparkly. I love dramatic colors but it's nice that these are sheer so I don't over do it. I've only tried Goldstone and Mineral Dust on my eye but the Starry Purple and Black Pearl looked absolutely stunning on my hand. Just be aware of the limitations of these and that way you can still enjoy them. I'm not expecting evenly perfect coverage, just a unique and long lasting sparkle. I sure wish my eyelids had a little less "texture". These would look even better on. If you have crepey eyelids, I would avoid using them there and just use in the crease or in brow bone. I have never written a review on the Bobbi Brown website before but I just love these so much, I had to come put my two

Just purchased "Antique Gold"...the range of colours are beautiful, but I fell in love with the "pewtery" antique colour of this shade. For those of you who do not like a lot of "glitter", apply just a smidgen and you will get a sheer shimmer that's just gorgeous. I applied this for day, using my ring finger , placing the shadow in the middle of my eyelid and close to the lashes, and then just swept the colour out to each side lightly. I didn't use liner or highlighter under my brow, just the long-wear shadow and of course mascara. The result was reeeallly pretty (another sigh!) sheer and not overdone, and it lasted all day. For night, you could either use the cream shadow brush or apply in layers with your fingers. This product is a winner! I hope BB never stops making the metallic version of the long-wear, such a beautiful selection of colours and of course - long wear! Love, love love it!!!!

Okay, I bought this on a whim yesterday, and it really surprised me. I got it in 'starry', and was a little worried when I took it out of the package because it looked so dark, and when I wear really dark shadow I look like a raccoon. But when I applied it, it went on super sheer and it's really pretty! It is perfect to layer over or under a matte eyeshadow to take your look from day to evening, and it makes my blue eyes pop. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it has glitter in it. Not big huge chunks of it, but I thought it would be more of a shimmer than anything else, and I have a slight aversion to glitter of any sort. So if you don't like glitter then I'm not sure you should get it. But if you like it but also like your shadow to be subtle, definitely buy it!

Don't be afraid to try these, the metallics are fantastic. The base of the shadows seems clear and smoother than her regular cream shadows which makes application smoother. You can have a very thin layer of shadow for a subtle glitter, or layer it for an all out metallic look. Clean up for me is no problem and there is no fall out with these shadows. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed, even this gal of 52 loves them.For reference I have fair skin and my favorites are Antique Gold, Black Pearl and Brown Metal.

I bought this in Mercury, and applied with a finger, it's very sheer, with a little sparkle. I wear it to work with no problem at all. I'm 52, so if I can wear these, so can you. My only problem was I couldn't decide which one to buy since they were all so beautiful!

I'm a 'mature' woman and, while my complexion is pretty good, I have my share of fine lines around eyes, etc. As a designer, I like having an edge to my look and BB Long-Wear Metallic Shadows deliver! All of the colors are lovely, but Black Pearl is my fav. Apply lightly for a soft subtle look that is sophisticated enough for the office or build it up for striking drama after hours. Easy to apply and will absolutely add pop and dimension to eyes. Go ahead... have some fun with these wonderful shadows!

I would not consider it metallic... but a beautiful subtle shimmer long wear shadow. I bought the Starry Night blue color and it can be worn as a color wash as a pop of color.... or layered over gel eyeliner for a bolder effect. It looks so pretty with brown eyes. =)

The colors in the pot are deceiving because once you put it on all you see are glitters and no color.The application is dry and it cakes when you use it in conjunction with cream eyeshadow or with powder shadows. It makes your lids look aged or aging -- and I'm only in my early 30s!

So disappointed in the Beach Club shadows

I was so excited to try the new Beach Club shades that I ordered 4 of them as soon as they came out. I ordered Pink Oyster, Moonstone, Surf, and Shore (matte). They are all going back. They look so gorgeous in the pot, but when applied they show up as nothing but a glittery mess. I even used a proper lid primer, which I use with every shadow. It preps my lid perfectly, makes color go on beautifully, and allows me to wear my shadows all day with nary a crease. It could not save these shadows. They have zero color payoff and as I said, just show up as messy glitter on my lids. Even the matte shade, Shore, which I had hoped to use as a base shade, did not show up yet still managed to make my lids look crepe-y. I am very disappointed in this collection; I expected much better from Bobbi Brown.

After a bad experience with cream eye shadow in my teens, I never gave it another chance. Now I'm in my early forties and I wish I hadn't waited so long to try it again - this stuff is great! I thought the shimmer might be too much for someone my age, but it really isn't. The color goes on sheer, but you can layer it if you want more drama - I love the versatility. Once it's on it stays put!The cream eye shadow brush is the best way to evenly apply and blend this product, so be sure to pick one up if you don't have one already.

These creamy metallic shadows are different from the powder shadows I usually prefer. I bought the application brush too, which is lovely, but I found using my fingers got more layers of color from each of the three "pots" I purchased: deep blue, deep purple, lavender. I'm an artist, blessed with great skin which I care for meticulously, so I make my face the perfect canvas first, then get to "work." I apply & blend colors so well that NYC women (& men) have stopped me and said, "You are gorgeous!" Not, "What great makeup!" Unlike BB, whom I adore, I care not for the "got out of bed and washed your face" natural look that I favored at 18. I'm 58 and people tell me I'm pushing forty, but the makeup helps. This creamy, shimmery eyecolor needs to be layered for any real effect. It is lovely, and fun to play with: will purchase a pale silver or gold to mix it up more ways. Stays put all day and doesn't crease. More color intensity, which I'm careful with, would give it five stars, but it's a fine product nonetheless.

I like the nice shine the metallic long wear colors give. If you decide to buy any of the cream shadows, I HIGHLY recommend the cream shadow brush. I originally bought it without the brush and used my finger and an eyeshadow brush to apply, and did not like the result. Not only did I waste color, but no matter what I did, the color never went on evenly and it smeared. I then bought the brush and it made a huge difference. Not only did the color go on evenly and smoothly, I didn't waste so much color. If you're looking for something different from the routine, this is definitely your pick!

You can add such a sheer layer of color or layer for more bold sparkle. As far as long-wearing is concerned, I have very oily skin and these do not budge, crease or fade! I happen to love a little sparkle on my eyelids, and I don't use it on the browbone area.I have most of the metallic colors, and even though the pigments are pretty sheer, they can be built up for when you want more color, or just do one layer for a little bit of sparkle. Some colors have more pigment than others.Like Bobbi's non-metallic cream eye shadows, this stuff stays on until you take it off.I find that a cream eye-shadow brush works best.Sometimes all I do is use a little of the light shades on the inner corner of the eye-lid to light up the eye. Other times I use the darker colors on the outer part of the lid only.And other times I use darker ones on the outer corner with one of the regular powder eye-shadows on top which lets some sparkle show troughwhile the metallic cream grabs and holds the powder shadow on top securely for the day.I have fun with these, even though I am 50 years old.Who says you can't wear sparkles after 40, I am proving them wrong...

When the makeup artist suggested this, I was skeptical. Over 40 and wear sparkly eye shadow? Then she suggested the Surf color. Blue? I thought people with blue eyes weren't supposed to wear blue eye shadow. Boy, did she prove me wrong. On both counts. The color itself is rather sheer, which is nice. It does not flake or settle into fine lines. The color is great for summer, especially with a little cement in the crease. I got tons of compliments the day I wore this...and it was at a business conference! Every woman should have at least one of these in her arsenal.

Yes, I'm over 40 and I love this shadow. It took some practice for me to get it right, but they add a beautiful glow to the lid (like others have mentioned, I never wear sparkle under my brow). Some have complained about the color pay-off - I have found that putting these over one of Bobbi's matte cream shadows (like Bone, Ballet Pink or Shore) makes the color much more vibrant.

I bought one of the new long wear cream shadows featured in the Beach Club collection for Summer 2010. The color I chose (and it was a difficult decision) was Opal. The name of this particular color is perfect. In the pot, it looks creamy white with a bit of irridessence. On the lid, however, it has subtle colors of gold, pink and blue running through it - just as an opal does. It is absolutely stunning! Using your finger, it goes on sheer, but not so sheer that you can't see the colors in it. Using the brush, it applies heavier. Either way, it applies smoothly and crease free, and looks great with bronzed skin. I use this every day, and although it would work for year-round use, I plan on making it a summer staple. Thank you, Bobbi - yet another beautiful product.

Today, I did some of the hottest, sweatiest, heaviest moving I've ever done. I put on my brown metal long wear, along with a full face of other products I will review, at 7am; at 7pm it looked like I had just done my eyes-long wear, three shadows and shimmer brick layered over it, gel liner, and mascara. None of it moved. I mean sweat poured from my whole body today and my makeup looked incredible at the end of the day. One blotter paper and a touch of lip gloss and I looked like I just did my makeup.This is excellent to use as a base or primer for eyeshadow to avoid the inevitable grease crease or sliding liner/shadow blob that we all get at the end of the day-especially when it's hot.The packaging is far superior to what I expected. It's substantial and luxurious, while simple and sophisticated. They're attractive enough to keep on the counter.I will definitely get other shades of the metallics.My only complaint is that the color wasn't at all what I was expecting based on the picture and description. It's still beautiful and very wearable, but it's much lighter and more sheer than I thought it would be. I don't know if all the other shades are like this.All in all a really great cream to wear alone or as a base. Mine has lots of very fine sparkles that are very pretty even when covered with a matte shadow.I strongly suggest this if:-you don't want to think about your eye makeup until you're ready to take it off-have oily skin or sweat a lot/are going to be somewhere hot-want a base/primer but want some bang for your buck-primer and eyeshadow in one-want your eyeshadow to look like you just did it, even at the end of a long day

This review is about the color Antique Gold. I do not like this color, it was returned a few days after I got it. What a shame, b/c I like Black Pearl alot. AG looks greyish green on me, unattractive!! It also applied poorly even with BB cream shadow brush. I don't recommend this color for medium brown eyes and fair skin. I should have listened to the MUA here and bought what they recommended which was Moonstone. I also bought black pearl which looks pretty good with my coloring, nothing great though. I think I will buy Moonstone, I recommend that to all of you with my coloring!! Med brown eyes/fair skin/dark brown hair. Other than Antique Gold I LOVE bobbi's other products, but I have to give antique gold one star, boo!!!!!!!

A remarkable innovative product that is perfect for anyone! The shadow is fabulous worn all over the lid and though it does provide pigmentation ( you can distinguish the color differences) it has a sheer clear base! It is easy and quick to apply with either fingertips or the cream shadow brush! I like to use my fingers because I feel it packs on more product. I have gold stone and it is a gorgeous brushed metal like color that is perfect for any seasons. I find that they work on every skin tone and have a great selection. Why I love this product so much is because they don’t crease can wear these with no primer and have them last and last and last! My eyelids are extremely oily and even with and eye shadow primer every cream shadow would wear of about two hours later and crease. These are a first , a little goes a long way and you get a lot of product which if you make sure you close it tight will not dry up until you are finished with it. The packaging is remarkably amazingly fantastic! I love the square glass jar! Obviously I would purchase this product again and will try more colors in the future! I love this product simple because of all these amazing qualities and the fact that you can skip a primer or do a complete eye look (still with some dimension) with one color is something to be excited over!

I use both the cream shadows and the shimmers, and both last a long time. The shimmers by nature are not going to last as long, but even these go all day. Some people have expressed disappointment with the sheerness, but I think that makes these colors versatile. They go on light, but a second layer really brings out the color if that's what you want. You really don't want shimmer products to be heavy, otherwise you look like you lost your way from 1979 and Studio 54! Antique Gold is fabulous if you have green eyes and a light complexion-it's not gold at all, it's a muted olive that really makes green eyes stand out. I suggest anyone interested in these products try them out in the store and wear them all day to see if they are for you. Another thing I like about these shimmers is women over 40 can look good in them, again without fear of looking like you lost your way from 1979!

Alot of things I like about this but some I don't. The lighter color barely shows up as alittle sparkle, if you layer it's better but hard to apply to browbone smoothly. The navy has alot more color, which I like but is really hard to layer and look even, needs to be layered also but very hard to do on the browbone again. Now the part I like..very pretty look and is very longlasting and sweatproof. You can wear on a 100 mile bike ride and with the gel eyeliner it is impenetrible.

These colors are sheer and stay put no matter what! I have the moonstone (shows up more gold than green on my skin) and it survived a full day of baby care and was still ready to go out on the town! Fantastic to find a high-shimmer product that does not sweat off. I think this product works best either on its own as a wash of shimmer on the lid or layered with powder shadow to provide more intense pigment and a more dramatic look. Can't wait for Santa to bring me more colors!!

So how could I expect different?Loved this stuff. It's different and more sheer than some of the cream shadows... but not all. Each color has a bit of personality of its own. I don't think it's fair to classify qualities of all metallic shadows because I think each one is a little bit its own thing.I like them all. As with most of Bobbi's shadows I haven't really found any colors that I can't wear at all with proper thoughtful application... and the metallic element is fun. With Bobbi sometimes you get pretty close to perfect so it gets easy to take quality for granted and get spoiled.I'll keep playing with all of these. It's just what I do. :P

I like the Moonstone very much, a nice muted grayish green, great as a lid color and can be enhanced with other colors,a nice neutral. The Pink Oyster was quite a surprise! It is very glittery! Not what I expected. I actually really like the color, but not the glitter! I will keep it but not happy about the glitter. BE AWARE OF THE GLITTER, hence only the 3 star rating. This has been only my second disappointment within the entire BB line.Sorry!

I was extremely excited to try this product--it sounded like exactly what I was looking for--I adore cream shadows and especially love metallics. However, this product is a complete joke. I purchased the Antique Gold. This shade is a charcoal with flecks of gold in it. Aside from it not being the shade it sounded like or even appeared to be on the site, it has ROUGH GLITTER. I'm not afraid of sparkle, however it is more or less a clear gray-toned base with rough patchy glitter. While i cannot speak for any other shade, please stay clear of this one!

I was expecting to love this cream shadow. It is very, very sheer. Like another reviewer stated, it's basically clear with glitter. I purchased the Antique Gold, and it's beautiful in the pot. Kind of a burnished- pewter-ish- olive with a slight gold cast, perfect for hazel eyes. But on the skin ---- looks like nothing. I try and try to build the color by applying this in layers, with my finger and also with a brush, but it's not buildable. I can't get any color payoff. Very frustrating on busy weekday mornings.

I have to agree with AcesWild. It does not go on easily and does not build up. It gets clumpy or lifts off when I try to apply a second layer. It does not deposit much color either. I've tried applying it with my finger and various types of brushes and it doesn't make a difference. It is best removed with an oil-based makeup remover.

I couldn't stop checking my eyes throughout the day, and see that it had not smudged at all. I would highly recommend this eyeshadow! I may be 35, but I still am a girl who loves sparkle. I love the other cream shadows and I love to put the metallic colors on top to go from day to night. I wear Sand dollar with Black Pearl Metallic on top and then I wear Sandy Gold with Goldstone on top. Goldstone is my favorite that I wear alone when I am in a hurry. I must admit that I use my finger to apply the Metallic shadows. Being so transparent, it was harder to apply with the brush. So I use my finger to just press it on my lid. Much easier. Some people add more liner for night, not for me as it doesn't help my already deep set eyes. I just add the glam and sparkle of these shadows. Love, love , love.

I have a few of the cream and metallic shadows and I love them. My most recent purchase was Black Pearl. It is the most beautiful color. It has amazing shimmer and sparkle without being over the top. It is a lovely shade of purple and I use it on top of Slate and they really compliment each other. I love Bobbi's regular powder shadows but the cream shadows just last longer. They are truly unbeatable and considering how oily my skin is (including my eyelids) not having to re-touch is just something I never thought would happen. My eye makeup stays put and is truly long lasting.

I've recently purchased Black Pearl and loved it so much that I went back for a Pink Oyster the next day. This is the first eyeshadow EVER that lasts on my lids - I've tried every drugstore brand and been disappointed with all of them. It stays on for a VERY long time, and the colours are just perfect. Only problem is that they tend to spread glitter all over my face but with a little care this can be avoided. Don't be surprised at the small amount of product in the bottle - it's a little less than most eyeshadows.

For me the best find in this category is Pink Oyster, which adds a lovely gold-pink glitter and stays well. I like to apply it over Ballet Pink Cream Shadow for a bit of glamour over an otherwise nude eye and finish with a clean line of gel liner. The Metallic Cream Shadows are not as lasting as Bobbi's regular Long-Wear Cream Shadows. It is mainly a way to add sparkle rather than a lot of color, as many of them are sheer.

I am a huge fan of eyeshadows, especially ones that have some sparkle or shimmer to them. I fell in love with these eyeshadow the minute I saw it and ended up buying the goldstone and the opal colors. If you buy the metallic cream shadows I would recommend NOT buying a cream brush. I have had better luck applying it with just my finger, whereas the brush seems to make the metallic ones (but not the non-sparkley ones) look a little clumped in certain areas. The shade does fade a little bit but it does stay on all day and the sparkles stay exactly where you put them and don't fall down onto your face.

This is a beautiful opalescent color (I purchased the opal) that, depending on how the light is hitting it, looks pink or irridescent pearl-white. When using a brush, it has to be dipped ever so delicately into the pot to avoid too much being applied, resulting in clumpy application. I am tempted to start using my finger for a more subtle shimmer and a little less sparkle. The reason I gave it 4 stars...I would have liked more shimmer and less glitter.

I've tried a few cream eyeshadows and none come close to the flawless look and feel of this collection. I recently picked up Black Pearl to layer on top of a pressed shadow to achieve a smokey eye and I must say this one passed with flying colors. It easy to blend with either your fingers or a brush and it gives you plenty of time to get it just right before it begins to set. When combined with her pressed shadow and this...you can forgo your eye primer because used together your eye look is hanging around for the full day with very little creasing. I love it and I look forward to collecting more shades in the future.

These shadows are gorgeous-I have them in surf, black pearl, and pink oyster. Like all of Bobbi's cream shadows, they blend effortlessly and last all day long. In the jar, the colors look much more intense than they do on lids, so don't be intimidated by the initial appearance. These are fun to apply over the matte cream shadows to take you from day to night, but they also stand on their own. I always apply mine with the cream shadow brush (which I highly recommend), but I know many others apply them with their fingertips, and the results are beautiful. Definitely add one or more of these to your BB collection; in fact, I am constantly stalking the BB website to see if new shades have been added for me to try.

This is certainly very long wearing. I never leave any makeup on overnight, but out of curiosity, I deliberately left it on and the next morning looked as if I had just applied it, so it definitely passed the long wear test! It applies more evenly and smoothly with a brush, rather than finger, so I recommend using a brush. Just make sure to thoroughly clean your brush afterwards. All that being said, I prefer the regular matte cream eyeshadow over the metallic simply because the metallic tends to emphasize the wrinkles on my eyelids a little more, but it's still very pretty and not too glittery. The gold shades are lovely and will try others, but will use these for evenings out rather than daytime. Oh, also, I needed to use a makeup remover to get this shadow off as soap and water did not remove it.
