Beach lotion has a scent that takes me back to the lazy days of youth when I was in California in the 70's. It was a different world back then and with the fast pace of these modern times, along with being stuck in a Northeastern climate with no beach, and not much of a summer, it can put me in a greart mood in no time. Also, it is very soft and moisturizing, and not too heavy in the warm weather we sometimes do get here. It can also be enjoyed by women of any age, I'm 50 and my stepdaughter is 18 and loves it as well. All in all, my fave product in any season!

In addition to moisturizing sun-parched skin and leaving your skin smooth and supple, the scent is evocative of days spent on the beach, the scent of the sea mixed with sun tan lotion and sun warmed skin. I love to use it in the summer after showering the sand off, but I am looking forward to using it in winter, long after the last days of summer. I love this product. I currently live so close to the beach I can see the ocean, but due to an unfortunately timed surgery on my right shoulder, I will not be going to the beach at all this summer. Well, don't you feel so sorry for me, as I'm typing this lefty, I just wanted you to know that this product is really great.It smells so authentic, applies evenly and smoothly, leaves you with a clean, fresh feeling all over.....I can smell it on my at the end of the day! This is by far the most fantastic scented body lotion I've ever tried. Lightweight, immediately absorbed, it silkyfies your skin like the kiss of sea foam on the shore. As a plus, it brings me back to my childhood weekends spent with my beautifully elegant mother on Taboga Island off the coast of Panama. Bobbi Brown has accomplished the seemingly impossible and captured that exact smell, lost for long in the mist of time, but now in a bottle. Absolutely priceless!.

I really like this. For more description of the fragrance itself please see my review under the fragrance. Regarding the lotion specifically - I find this to be a nice milky but not thin skin moisturizer. It feels nice going on, sinks right in and the fragrance lasts quite well - not overpowering, just lingers nicely on my skin making me want to sniff myself all day. And thank you Bobbi for putting this in a sleek/attractive pump bottle rather than a tube (at least for the full size) - I like to have this out on my counter top for quick application.

In early 2008…I tried Bobbi Brown Beach at a BB counter. It is so good, and doesn’t smell anything like any other fragrance I’ve tried or worn. I bought the body lotion, and the first day I wore it…people commented on how good I smelled, and even more important…I could smell the wonderful scent hours after applying the lotion.It brought back memories of my mother applying a certain suntan lotion when I was going to be outdoors during the summer. I spent my early years in Cleveland, Ohio, and when I was 11…We moved to CA, so up until then…the shore along Lake Erie was the closest I came to anything resembling a beach;) The lotion is very luxurious. It leaves my skin feeling soft, silky and lightly scented with the beautiful Beach fragrance, and although it is very moisturizing, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. The ingredients are good for my skin, and I can put my clothes on immediately afterward.All this time and it took me until last year to discover Bobbi Brown’s Beach. Now I wear it almost every day:)

This moisturizer goes on very light and is beautifully scented with Bobbi's Beach fragrance. For those of you who are not familiar with her Beach scent, some describe it as coppertone, and while it reminds me of that, Beach is much more complex and changes. I always get positive comments when I wear this scent. This is wonderful when layered with the Beach shower-gel, and her other Beach products.

This is the best smell in the whole wide world as far as I'm concerned. It smells like summer, the ocean, the sand, and the salt. But, there is more depth to it than that the longer it is on. At first, yes it did smell just like Coppertone, but there are many underlying notes that smell amazing when it is on and takes me away to summer vacations at the lake or the beach, playing in the sand, lounging on beach chairs, walking on the boardwalk. Throughout the day, I catch myself sniffing my arm to get another whiff. I don't know how you did it Bobbi, but you perfectly captured some of the best times of my life and bottled it... thank you.

I love the beach body lotion, I use it everyday and I love the smell and the way it reminds me of the beach....but...the pump give me lots of trouble. It does not disperse all of the lotion out of the bottle and I actually have to cut the plastic in half and remove it with a plastic spoon to get to the bottom and use all of the lotion. When I open the bottle there is about 1/4 remaining on the bottom. Any solutions?

... not such a moisturizing 'win', however. The effectiveness as an actual moisturizer is practically nil, but it's better than nothing. This is best as a base for everything else right out of the shower, and paired with the fragrance, does help the scent last longer.
