I never thought I would be a fan of brushes...but Bobbi Brown has changed my opinion. I used to put on cream eye shadow with my finger, but was not getting a smooth, even look. I broke down and purchase the creme shadow brush(es) last week and cannot put them down!!! I even bought 2 brushes...one for my lighter color cremes and one for my darker color cremes. Though I'm a little hesitant to make this kind of investment on makeup brushes, I finally broke down and bought this cream shadow brush after realizing that my fingers just won't blend the shadow like it should be blended. I'm very happy I bought it, and since have bought other cream shadows because using the brush has made the application look so much more professional and polished. I purchased this brush to apply the long-wear cream shadow. At first, I thought,"Why do I need a brush- I can use my fingers." But after I used the brush, the difference in the look of the shadow is amazing. My eyelid looked almost like it was "air brushed" with color. The color was smooth and even, not a bit blotchy. The application of the shadow was also enhanced. The brush made it so easy and fast. You definitely have "got to get the Brush".

Creamy Long Lasting Eye Shadow

At last, I've found an eye shadow that doesn't smudge, flake off, stick in the creases of my lids and actually stays on until I take it off. I have very sensitive skin (I'm a redhead) and I have a difficult time with all makeup products. I can tell in a few days if an eye product is going to cause an allergic reaction by swelling, itching and irritation around and on my lids. I've been using the long lasting eye shadow now for a couple of months and I love it! I plan to order a few more shades in the near future.

This is a good quality detail brush, however, I personally prefer to use my fingers to apply cream eye shadow as this brush head is small. For those who prefer a brush this one is fantastic and great quality.I do think this makes a great conclealer brush - the head is a bit wider and the bristles a tad shorter/stiffer than Bobbi's actual conclealer brush which is also good.

A Necessity For Me

This was my first Bobbi Brown brush purchase. I ordered a limited collection that included the Cream Eye Shadow in Galaxy, and was told that I needed this brush. And that person was correct…I really do need this brush.In the morning…I take out one of my cream shadows (sometimes just to prime my lids), and dip my brush into the little pot, apply it to my eyes, and then blend with my ring finger. Get the perfect look every time. I’ve tried other brushes that look like this one…two concealer brushes from other brands (they picked up too much product) and another brush used for shadow/liner from another line (What a mess!). I’ve used my finger (when I couldn’t find my brush), and it smeared. I also put way more on one eye. Not a good look;)If you can use something else or you’re better than I am with your fingers (I've watched Bobbi do it with her fingers)…then this brush is optional. For me it’s a necessity.

I'm not certain this is the best brush for cream shadow application. I think the head is a little too small, and the bristles a little too stiff and they separate a little too much. Because you have such a short amount of play time with the cream shadows, I think a concealer brush with a larger head works better for blending. The plus is that it fits right in the tiny little pot, but I just can't get a great blend with this brush. I always end up using the brush to pull it out of the jar, smoothing on the lid with my fingers and then going over with the brush to blend.

Cream Shadow Brush

A few women have complained about this brush, and when I receive these complaints I explain the purpose of the product: this is a cream shadow applicator brush. It is used to get the maximum pigment possible from what you pickup in the pot. It is not a blending brush, and it is not supposed to be used to even out the product. This is why the bristles are tougher and less flexible: if they bent backwards and forwards, the product would get lost inside the brush and you'd end up with less product on the lid.This being said, this brush does a great job of picking up product and dispersing most of it onto your lid. It does not get lost in your brush, and you don't have fall out. These are great with Bobbi's metallic and normal cream shadows. If you're looking to get more payoff from your cream shadow, this is for you.

I just purchased Sandy Gold Long-Wear Cream Shadow today along with this cream shadow brush. After applying the shadow both ways - with my finger and with the brush - I believe the brush application turned out much better. The brush allows you to pick up just the right amount of shadow. I felt I wasted shadow when using just my fingers. I am using a light colored shadow, so I didn't feel the need to blend further with my fingers, but I probably would if I were using a darker shadow color. You will not be disappointed in this brush.

A wonderful brush that is essential for easy and efficient application of the cream shadow!I purchased my first cream shadow a few weeks ago (love it by the way, but that's another review.) While the sales person recommend the cream shadow brush for application of the shadow, I was feeling too "thrifty" to make the purchase. I figured I could use my finger tip or my BB eye shadow brush to apply cream shadow. Wrong!The texture of the cream shadow really requires a brush. And while the eye shadow brush (another brush to love) did a passable job of application, it also wasn't as efficient as it could be given the shape and length of the bristles were just a little off for the job to be done. So I went back and purchased the cream shadow brush.What a GREAT brush this is! It allows you to apply just the right amount of cream shadow so easily given it is just a little shorter bristled and a little denser than the eye shadow brush.From my view, the ability to apply the right amount of shadow so easily means you'll use less shadow per application because there is no waste. That means the cream shadow will last longer and helps offset the cost of the brush. How's that for "proving in" the investment for this brush?But no matter, the investment is absolutely worth it. If you are using the cream shadow, you'll find you need this super brush as the right tool for the job.

I'm fairly new to cream eye shadows, but I learned pretty quickly that using this brush is the best possible way to apply it. I'm fanatical about blending my makeup and this makes it so easy - it goes on eavenly no matter how many layers you apply. (I use one layer for daytime, but two or three for an intensely smokey nighttime look.) If I lost this brush, I wouldn't dream of wearing cream shadow until I could replace it - it's that indispensable.

Love love love this brush! For me I consider it a multi-purpose tool when applying cream shadow! If you don't want to use your finger to apply cream shadow this works well and just takes a little extra time, becasue the brush doesn't pick up a lot of product. I however use this in a different way in addtion to this method. I use this to apply cream shadow in a gold or silver color over gel liner! It gives me th option of a shimmery liner and this brush for me, works flawlessly. The brush head is small and perfect for the delicate eye area. The bristles are soft yet tightly held together and makes it super easy to pat on cream shadow! I adore this brush!

I have two of these cream shadow brushes - I bought a second one for travel. I use this type of brush almost every day since I almost always use either Bone or Shore as a base color. The tapered edge of the cream shadow brush is great for getting the last little bit out of the jar when you are running low. It spreads color evenly, although I still smudge with my fingertip to blend completely. The best part is the bristles have stood up to daily washings over three years! Really well-made brush.

I would normally just apply long-wear eyeshadows with my ring-finger tip but after Christmas, I splurged and bought this. It's a great tool and a very easy, clean way of applying the eyeshadow. (I use Navajo).

Perfect for its purpose! Sized just right for Bobbi's cream shadow pots too. It took me a little bit to learn how to use this brush but once I figured out that you only need a single swipe over the cream shadow to finish the first layer on your lid or browbone I was able to work it out from there. I was using too much by swiping and swiping to fill the brush for the first layer. You don't need that much!It's very well-designed for the shadow it was built for and in this way is (to me) a distinctive and original tool. I actually can't see using another brush for this eye shadow.A+.

pros:

I don't really use cream shadow very often, and when I do I used to just use my fingers to apply it. I really don't notice any difference between using this and using my fingers, except that this keeps my fingers clean (which is nice, but not worth $28 and having to clean another brush every week). The bristles are super soft and delicate on eyelids, which is nice too. For people who use brushes for everything and use cream shadow a lot, this would be perfect.

Really Makes A Difference!

I use the cream eye shadows every day. I was using a brush that I already had thinking it would work fine, but was not really happy with the application. Finally purchased the cream eye shadow brush, this brush really makes a difference in how the shadows apply. Cream eye shadow application is smooth and flawless. This brush is a must if you are a fan of the cream eye shadows.

The Cream Shadow Brush is a must-have for me when it comes to applying Bobbi's Long-Wear Cream Shadow. You can apply it with your finger, but it just doesn't work for me. With the brush, I get a perfect application every time. I promise you, if you take good care of this brush it will last you for years.

I bought 2 cream shadows before I decided to get this brush. I was previously just using my fingers since I think I can blend it more accurately that way. Yesterday I finally gave in and bought the brush (and another shadow color) and oh my goodness, what a difference! It makes the eye makeup look airbrushed, total perfection! I highly recommend this to anyone using the cream shadows. It's worth the price for the difference it makes.

pros:

Bobbi's cream eye shadow containers really require that you purchase this brush. The brush is the superior way to get the product out of that container and onto the eyelid. I sometimes use my finger to blend - but now that I have the brush, I'm able to reach the tiniest traces of shadow in the small container which my finger can't reach.

Great to apply the long-wear cream eye shadow with! I use this brush every day! The brush is a must-have for anyone using the cream shadows. Sometimes it's difficult to use the fingertips once your product gets low, and this brush is perfect for getting the most use out of the shadows because of the shape of the cream shadow container.

I have used the cream shadows for a long time and utilized the Concealer Blending Brush to apply. That brush definitely did ok but love this one so much better. It seems to apply the shadow better and more controled when I am layering colors.

Best Cream Shadow Brush!

This brush lives up to its name. It applies Bobbi Long Wear Cream shadows evenly and smoothly, and does not require any "finger smoothing." This brush is also better than Bobbi's concealer brush, so I have a separate one to use for under eye concealer.
