Bobbi Brown Cosmetics wants to know how using our products makes you feel “pretty powerful”.
How To Enter
INITIAL SUBMISSION:
Beginning January 19, 2010 go to BobbiBrownCosmetics.com/prettypowerful and complete the entry form pursuant to the onscreen instructions and submit a 1-3 minute video clip detailing “How does using Bobbi Brown Cosmetics make you feel pretty powerful?” . Video size should be no greater than 10MB file, delivered in one of the following file types: mov (preferred), wmv, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, mpg and most avi files. There is a limit of one entry per person for the initial submission period of the Contest. Entries must be received by 11:59 PM on February 9, 2010. By entering this contest you acknowledge that Bobbi Brown Cosmetics may use your video submission for online use at any time for the duration of the Pretty Powerful campaign.
At the conclusion of the Initial Submission entry period, fifteen (15) entries will be chosen based on the decision of an expert panel that will be judging on both the quality of the answer (e.g., answer best represents the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics philosophy and the Pretty Powerful Campaign) and the quality of the video (e.g., resolution of video). Videos longer than 2 minutes and less than 1 minute will be excluded from the Contest and will not be judged.
By February 15, 2010, the 15 semi-finalists will be chosen and contacted by representatives from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics who will ask certain questions in order to determine the appropriate color palette for products to be sent to them. Each of these semifinalists will receive a customized set of products based on their responses to the questions which will be sent to them directly from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
SEMI-FINALIST SUBMISSION:
The semifinalists will be asked to use their new products and create a powerful 1-2 minute video clip about their experience with their new Bobbi Brown products. Video size should be no greater than 10MB file, delivered in one of the following file types: mov (preferred), wmv, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, mpg and most avi files. This video clip must demonstrate an answer to the following question:

Video clips that go beyond 2 minutes will be excluded, and semi-finalists must submit their video to BobbiBrownCosmetics.com/PrettyPowerful by 11:59 PM EST on March 7, 2010
Beginning March 12, 2010, thesemi-finalists video clips will be posted on BobbiBrownCosmetics.com⁄PrettyPowerful and Bobbi Brown's You Tube channel. Visitors will be invited to view the videos and return to the BobbiBrownCosmetics.com⁄PrettyPowerful website to vote for their favorite video entry in order to help Bobbi Brown choose the Grand Prize Winners by narrowing down the semi-finalists submissions to the top 5 submissions. Visitors cannot vote for the same video entry in a 24 hour time span. Visitor voting will conclude at midnight on March 26th, 2010.
The top five (5) videos as voted by the visitors to the BobbiBrownCosmetics.com⁄Pretty Powerful website will be shown to Bobbi Brown who will choose the three (3) Grand Prize winners herself based on the (1) creativity of their video (2) quality of their answer to the question “How does using Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Color Strips make you feel Pretty Powerful?” and (3) quality of their video.
Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries and⁄or submit multiple entries will void that entrant's entries and that entrant will be disqualified from the Contest. No mechanically or programmatically reproduced entries are permitted. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries for entrants once submitted. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor not responsible lost, late or misdirected, illegible, or damaged entries.
Entry must be made by the entrant, only at the Entry Site. Entries made by any other individual or any entity, and⁄or originating at any other Internet web site or email address, including but not limited to commercial Contest subscription notification and⁄or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Contest. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited.
Eligibility
The Pretty Powerful Contest ("Contest") is sponsored by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and open only to those legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry and who meet the eligibility requirements. The officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents of the Sponsor and Promotion Entities and the immediate families and those living in the same household of any of the above, are not eligible. All Federal, state and local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Entry Period
Contest starts on January 19th, 2010, and ends on March 26, 2010, at 11:59 PM EST (the "Entry Period"). Deadline for initial entries with video submissions is 11:59 PM EST on February 9th, 2010. Deadline for semi-finalists video submissions is 11:59 PM EST on March 7, 2010. Deadline for visitor voting is 11:59 PM EST on March 26th, 2010. Final winners will be chosen on or about April 5, 2010.
Sponsor
The sponsor of this Contest is Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, 575 Broadway, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10012 (the "Sponsor").
The Contest shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein. Certain restrictions may apply.

Prize(s) consists of the following:
SEMI-FINALISTS
Fifteen (15) Semi-finalists will receive a Bobbi Brown kit including some of Bobbi's favorite products, including Foundation, Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, Shimmer Brick, Pot Rouge, Basic Lip Palette, Color Strips, Mascara, and a Basic Brush Collection. Approximate retail value of this prize per package is $400.
GRAND PRIZE
Three (3) Grand Prize winners will be chosen to come to New York City to participate in a Master Class with Bobbi Brown. The Master Class will be held either at the Bobbi Brown Corporate Offices in New York City at 575 Broadway, 4th fl, NY 10012 OR at Bobbi Brown, The Studio, in Montclair, NJ.
The prize includes a 2 day trip to New York City (2 days and one night in New York City), a one night stay in a boutique hotel located in a trendy New York City neighborhood in a standard room, flight to NY from any destination within the United States (Economy travel), transportation to and from the airport and hotel . transportation to and from the Master Class with Bobbi Brown, a portable video camera to document their trip, $100 per day stipend and various Bobbi Brown products. If Sponsor deems that due to Grand Prize Winner's proximity to New York City air transportation is not necessary, ground transportation may be substituted in lieu of air travel.
Approximate retail value of each Grand Prize is $6,000.
Total value of prizes to be awarded to semi-finalists is approximately $6,100. Total value of all prizes to be awarded will be approximately $24,000. The odds of winning a prize are determined by the total number of eligible entries received. All prizes are awarded "as is" with no guarantee, either express or implied. If by reason of a printing, typographical, or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these official rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.
All Federal, State and local tax liabilites are the responsibility of each winner.
All travel and accommodations are subject to availability. Sponsor will assist Grand Prize Winners in arranging related transportation and/or accommodations. If in the judgment of Sponsor air travel is not required due to Winner's proximity to New York City, ground transportation will be substituted for roundtrip air travel at Sponsor's sole discretion. Travel shall be from and to major airports nearest Grand Prize Winner's home. Expenses not specified herein, including meals, gratuities, ground transportation, taxes, personal incidentals and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winners. If a Grand PrizeWinner is unable to travel on dates specified by Sponsor, their Prize may (in Sponsor's sole discretion) be forfeited and an alternate Grand Prize Winner may be selected by Sponsor. If an alternate Grand Prize Winner cannot be verified in time to meet advance booking requirements or other restrictions, the travel portion of the Prize may remain unawarded and no substitute Prize awarded. Sponsor is not responsible if specified Prize event is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason, in which event that portion of the Prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided, except as in Sponsor's sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any event or flight, or failure of Winner to complete travel. Sponsors will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates.
Judging
Grand Prize Winners will be chosen on or about April 5, 2010, and will be notified via e-mail within 2 weeks of this date.
Decisions of the judges are final and binding in all respects.
Winner(s) will be required to execute and return required notarized Affidavit of Eligibility⁄ Release of Liability within 30 days of notification. Once executed Affidavit of Eligibility⁄ Release of Liability is received, winner has two months to claim the prize package. Failure to return all required forms within 30 days or to comply with any other provision may result in the winner being disqualified and an alternate winner selected. If a prize notification or a prize is returned as undeliverable for any reason, the applicable prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Prizes are not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash. All decisions are final. All Federal, state and local tax liabilities are the responsibility of the winners.
General
By entering this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and by the decisions of the judges which shall be final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest. Entrants release and waive any claims they may have against Releases for any and all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney's fees) resulting from acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize or parts thereof, or participation in this Contest. If for any reason, this Contest is not capable of running as planned, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest, or any portion thereof.
If for any reason, this Contest is not capable of running as planned, or if this Contest or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Contest and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsor's sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest or any portion thereof. In the event this Contest is cancelled, the Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a random drawing to award all remaining prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect online entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the Entry Site. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and/or civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Where a dispute arises about who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account entered. The authorized account holder is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner may be requested to provide the Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry and that all eligibility requirements are met.
The Sponsor and any and all Internet server(s) and access provider(s) (collectively, "Promotion Entities"), and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents (collectively with the Promotion Entities, the "Releases") are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human errors; technical malfunctions; failures, omissions, interruptions, deletions or defects of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, servers, providers, or software, including without limitation any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in the Contest; inability to access the Entry Site; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; data that is processed late or incorrectly or is incomplete or lost due to telephone, computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on telephone lines or the Internet or any web site (including the Entry Site) or for any other reason whatsoever; printing or other errors; any entries which are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, illegible, or any combination thereof.
Incomplete entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. False, fraudulent or deceptive entries or acts shall render entrants ineligible. By entering the Contest, entrants affirm that they have read and accepted these Official Rules. The Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. By entering the Contest, entrants hereby submit to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts of the United States and waive the right to have disputes arising out of the subject matter hereof adjudicated in any other forum. Any entry information collected from the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of the entry, with these Official Rules and with the BobbiBrownCosmetics.com Privacy Policy.
Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to disqualify any entry that it believes contains obscene, offensive or inappropriate content, that does not comply with these official rules or that is not consistent with the spirit or theme of the contest.
